“A nice inn, but be aware that it is an inn and not a hotel. That is, some amenities such as room service, on-demand movies, a mini-bar, etc. are not available. Not that those are crucial to a vacation, but it's good to know that ahead of time. The indoor pool is large (though no lifeguard), which means a Cape Cod vacation can be somewhat independent of the weather. The staff is very friendly, location in w/in 5 minute walk to the shops, fifteen minutes from the shore. We had a great time.” Jul 9, 2006 by
Ash from Bellmore, NY
“It is an OK hotel but I suppose it is as good as it gets in Cape Cod. The deceiving part is the overall quality of hotel. It is ranked as a 3 star hotel but I do not agree with the ranking. I have stayed in much better hotels.” Jul 9, 2006 by
Zareh from Belmont, MA
“We enjoyed out stay; hotel allowed us late check out.” Jul 5, 2006 by
Matthew from Stevensville, MI
“Good for the price, but not a well maintained hotel.” Jun 6, 2006 by
Bill from Mount Carmel, TN
“The hotel is clean with friendly staff and centrally located to beach, downtown and ferry shuttle. Would highly recommend to anyone.” May 2, 2006 by
Dong from Nashua, NH
“We were assigned to a room in a cottage which is not recently renovated (opposite to what they claimed on their website). The room was NOT spacious at all, but really noisy (we could hear other people upstairs were walking during the late night). The lock of the bathroom was broken. The water from the shower appeared to be rustic. The overall quality of the room is with inferior quality. I am wondering they assigned us to this room.” Apr 26, 2006 by
Gerard from Bristol, CT
“I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying the Falmouth, MA area. Walking distance to great shopping and many restaurants. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were neat and clean. They served a nice variety at their continental breakfast. My son and I enjoyed our stay at the Inn on the Square.” Apr 23, 2006 by
Jim from Stoughton, MA
“Free computer system was down. Pool room falling apart and moldy. No services available because "we're horribly understaffed". We had to make up our own room. No trash collection. Although disabled, they wanted to put me in second floor room at adjacent property. Poor service for onset to checkout. Avoid this property.” Apr 22, 2006 by
Helaine from Wethersfield, CT
“This Hotel would not be good for a family. The pool is very small, the rooms are far from over sized as it states on the website. They are smaller than the average hotel room. Housekeeping never came to make up the room, I had to ask twice, then they came at 4:00 pm. The Front Desk button on the phone rang busy because it didn't work, per the supervisor. I was upset so I checked out a day early and was told they can't do anything about it. I made 5 phone calls all from 1-6 minutes each trying to find my bank and was charged 35.00 for them. I was given the difference upon my departure.” Apr 21, 2006 by
Aftab from Holliston, MA
“This hotel is located on a main route and the room we were assigned was right next to this route. the rooms had no sound proofing. Therefore, we woke up before 6am because of the noise of the heavy traffic. Also very noisy guests and the staff did not ask them to be quiet even after 11pm. The beds were very uncomfortable and we still have back ache from this very unpleasant trip.” Apr 19, 2006 by
Eileen H. from Providence, RI
“Looks nice from the outside and a good location. Poor construction means that you will not have a peaceful stay - from crying babies, muffled voices, water running, people walking..... too much noise so don't expect to get a good night's sleep. Don't count on their toiletries. All they provide is a small bottle of shampoo and bad soap.” Mar 27, 2006 by
Robert from Auburn, MA
“Nice continental breakfast food and facility.” Mar 9, 2006 by
Joanne from Braintree, MA
“Overall, very nice, I would go back. Staff was excellent. The breakfast was extremely nice for continental style.” Feb 23, 2006 by
Corey from Lexington, MA
“Lots of potential. Renovations necessary to pool area and dining area.” Feb 15, 2006 by
Kyle from North Providence, RI
“This was generally a rotten experience. The room was tiny. The remote control hardly worked. I called before to see if they had wireless internet and they told me they did but the room they gave me (105) was so far away from the desk that the wireless did not work so that was a lost cause. The pool room was absolutely freezing. All my kid wanted to do was go in the pool and we could not for more than 2 minutes. ” Jan 17, 2006 by
John from Feeding Hills, MA
“This hotel was nice clean and comfortable. The problem was, we had there, and a wedding party that was there that had no respect for others in the hotel. They were loud, we heard things breaking somewhere down the hall. I'm not one to complain at the drop of a hat but this was excessive as far as hotels go. We informed the front desk in the morning and were told they also had other complaints that evening. And was basically made to think there was nothing they could do about it. I would have at least thought they would have had some control over their hotel. Not the best of nights for sure. We went to get away for a night and get some sleep but ended up restless. I will think twice about that hotel in the future.” Sep 19, 2005 by
Al A. from Burlington, VT
“My wife and I enjoyed this hotel, but were a little disappointed with the condition of the room. The room needed to be painted on the ceiling, due to old water marks and patches. Also the workmen in the hotel were putting new siding on the building during our stay. I wouldn't say that this was a three star hotel, but was nice anyway. On the positive side, The hotel staff was wonderful, and very helpful. We also enjoyed the morning breakfast and friendly service from the kitchen staff. The location was wonderful! We were able to walk to the free bus that took us to Woods Hole, and to the ferryboat to the Vinard. We were also very close (Within a couple of blocks of the town square) and cute little town shops. Overall, we enjoyed this Hotel and would return again!” Aug 26, 2005 by

“the hotel said that it was minutes from ocean beaches.Although it was a few minutes to a beach on the sound it took us an hour to get to the real beach on the atlantic ocean. I would have never booked a hotel anywhere that far from the beach.” Aug 12, 2005 by
Allen from Brooklyn, NY
“Too close to traffic. It was more like a higher end motel than a hotel.” Aug 1, 2005 by
E.T. from Rockland, ME
“hotel was overall very accomodating and staff was bright and pleasent. however the room was smelled of state smoke and only one chair in the room as well as no internet access” Aug 1, 2005 by
Peggy from Elk Grove, IL
“Hotel was recently sold (30 days). Desk staff girls were temporary and untrained. They knew nothing that would help tourists get around. The night girl gave us incorrect info. - the morning gal didn't give us any info. There was a 7 am fire alarm which destroyed our sleep. Otherwise, a pleasant, reasonable hotel.” Jul 30, 2005 by
Marty from Needham, MA
“Loved the location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast buffet.” Jul 28, 2005 by
Sonya from Nashua, NH
“The lobby is nicely appointed and clean. However, we were originally put into room 107 which had dirty blankets and sheets on the bed, water stains all over the ceiling, and picture hooks on the walls with no picture! The colors in the room were very drab and depressing. We asked for another room and were given room 112 which was slightly better however, it also had a soiled blanket on the bed! The shower tiles were covered in mildew and stains. If it wasn't for the fact that we were so far from home (and other hotels in the area were fully booked) we would have left immediately. The pool was large but had dirty water in it. The one good thing about our stay was that the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 21, 2005 by

“I enjoyed my stay here. My room was of good size with two queen beds, dresser, desk and sitting chair. The continental breakfast offered presents a good selection of foods to choose from. There is free wireless internet access at the hotel, which consists of the main building and a two story carriage house. Internet access at the carriage house was spotty. The indoor pool was a nice way to end the day. Best of all, downtown Falmouth is a short walk away. It has a beautiful town green, several good restaurants and multiple local shops. I loved being able to stroll there and back. You can also take a local shuttle bus to Woods Hole for one dollar (a plus). This is a nice hotel in a great location. I would stay here again.” Jul 18, 2005 by
