“Hotel is in a corporate park so it is not appropriate for those without a car. It is well situated as a jumping off point for North Shore shopping, dining and activities. Hotel was very quiet.”

• The hotel was quiet and it had free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
• In their lobby one of their windows leaked on the floor which I could not tell was wet and by purse got soaked.

“My over all experience was good and I would recommend this hotel.”

• Indoor pool and hot tub.
• Housekeeping did not have our room cleaned even at 2:00 PM and we had been out since 7:00 AM.

“Staff, hotel was great with exception of housekeeping. We came back after about 8 hours out of teh room and the room was still dirty. We called housekeeping 2 times before finally getting our room cleaned, and then they did not change our sheets as requested. The hotel was fine just the issue with housekeeping.”

“What you would expect from Marriott--excellent facility, warm friendly and helpful staff, clean room with comfortable beds. For a hotel this level would expect nice fluffy towels, not the thin ones that we found.”

• My husband forgot his slippers and they sent them to us in Minnesota - great service!
• The cleaning staff were too noisy in the hallway for 8 am.

“The decor was pleasant and the bed was very comfortable. The bath products were better than average and I liked the bump out curtain rod in the bathtub/shower.”

• Very comfy beds and pillows.

“Checked in they gave me a king bed which I wanted but when I got to the room it was a double. I went back to the lobby and was given a real king room. Then in the morning I got up to take a shower before work and there was no hot water. I called the desk and was told there was not anything anyone could do about it until 7 a.m. That didn't help me; I had to be at work at 7 a.m. So no shower before work, worked 12 hour shift at hospital and thank god there was hot water when I returned. Went to check out in morning and was recharged for stay per the bill under my door. What a disaster of a stay, and this was the Marriott. They did not compensate me for all these issues. And I was very nice too.”

• The lobby staff was extremely helpful and polite.
• The decor looked rather cheap.

“The hotel is not too far out of the city. A lot of dining choices around the hotel. The staff was very helpful with directions, and always pleasant. The decor could have been more updated.”

• Where we had to park was forced us to walk along the drive a walk prepared through the mulched area would have been nice and safer.

• Room set up was not good - no free internet or wireless.

“For a three star hotel, this hotel was sorely lacking in most, if not all, amenities you find at a budget motel, i.e., free internet or wireless, complimentary continental breakfast and things of that nature. The set up of the room was very uncomfortable; the TV was to the side of the bed, for example. Based on this stay alone, I would avoid Marriott hotels.”

• Room was a bit small.

“The Marriott Peabody makes the rich feel comfortable and the not so rich fell rich. Always eager to please, the staff was friendly and helpful. The indoor pool was adequate sized and adjoining hot tub was relaxing. The beds were seriously comfortable. I felt very welcome and all my needs were met.”

• The towels were very thick.
• Very small pool and condescending staff.

“I will never stay in a Marriott again. At least not in that area. The room was very small and didn't have any of the extras it was listed as having. There was vomit on the wall behind our toilet and all the staff said was "sorry about that". You are treated different if they know you pay less. Stick with the 2 1/2 stars. You get WAY more for your money.”

• There was nothing to complain about during our stay.

“We can always count on professional front desk staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds with great bedding. The rooms, corridors and all public areas are kept clean and neat. The pool was also great.”

• The hotel staff really went out their way to help.
• I was disappointed with the breakfast; I would have preferred a choice of a small breakfast but was essentially forced to do the buffet.

“Since the purpose of our trip was in Salem, this was a great alternative to the pricey hotels in downtown Salem. It took maybe 10 minutes to get to Salem. And we had nicer accommodations than our relatives who stayed in downtown Salem. Would definitely recommend this hotel.”

• First night had supper at hotel restaurant and hamburger was raw upon arrival even though I ordered it done. Not happy with the response of waiter.

• The Peabody Marriott is fine property located just a short drive from Boston. Guests are welcomed with lush landscaping and ample free parking.
• Our hotel room had a musty type of odor to it. Once inside, we became accustomed to it.

“A pleasant alternative to pricey downtown Boston hotels. We decided to stay in the suburbs and were pleasantly surprised by the Peabody Marriott. We were warmly welcomed by the front desk clerk and my room request was cheerfully granted. A recent face lift to all the rooms was noticeable. Fresh carpet, wallpaper and linens ensured a four star experience. Room furniture was not updated, but was still certainly acceptable. We enjoyed a quiet evening and ordered a room service breakfast in the morning. A quick and easy check out in the morning and we were on our way. The grounds are immaculate and the staff very friendly. We look forward to our next stay at the Peabody Marriott.”

• Unusual furniture arrangement. no quilt/bedspread.

“This hotel was very clean and met every expectation I had for a 3-Star hotel. Overall, the experience was good, though they put us in a room with a horrendous view - outside the windows all you could see was the air conditioning units, ventilation fans and ductwork. I felt cheated - like they put us in that room to punish us for paying so little for the room. Perhaps it was a coincidence, but they *had* to know that that room had such a terrible view.”

“Very convenient to Salem, Rock port and the North shore area. the room was clean and comfortable. Food in the in-house restaurant was limited in choice but quite good. This hotel is a fine choice for anyone visiting in the North Boston area.”
