“Overall, the hotel was nice. Having access to a computer was good and their restaurant was good even though it wasnt your typical sit down and order restaurant. Room was clean and being able to take a shuttle downtown was good. $10 for parking wasnt a bad thing because of the shuttle service to downtown.”

- The staff, the door to door shuttle service to all areas of Downtown Boston, help with nearby attractions and restaurants, and friendly assistance.
- It was a bit run down (stained rugs, peeling wallpaper).
“Absolutely awesome staff, able and willing to go the extra mile. Nice room for the price except for what is described above. Would have been greatly enhanced by a pool, or a general statement upon check-in that the beach was around the corner!”

- Bedding extremely comfortable.
- Unfortunately, my room was next to the elevator which created noise with people getting on and off the elevator during the night.
“On the whole, we were extremely pleased. I was traveling with my son, his wife, and their children. Other than the elevator noise, I found both rooms to be quite suitable for the price and the staff was very courteous and helpful. I would stay there again and make sure my room wasn't next to the elevator next time.”

“This is usually a great, this one barely meets expectations. The staff is rude, the hotel is a bit rundown, customers can only get smoking double rooms (they won't let you choose a room type, even if you call weeks in advance!). There is no restaurant, no room service, no dining in the area, no pool, no fitness facility. Despite a nice lobby and the cookie they offer upon checking in (which, in all honesty, seems more like a bribe at this location).”

- Rooms were well maintained and clean. Bed was very comfortable.
- Having to pay $10 for parking.
“Although this hotel was somewhat difficult to get to (thanks mostly to the confusing streets of Boston), the staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were adequately clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have stayed in at hotel- lots of pillows and a padded mattress. There was a $10 fee for parking which seemed unnecessary as there is a large parking lot behind the hotel.”

- Exterior doors not card-key controlled, so late night entry requires staff to open front door.
“Good bedding and room amenities, but $10 charge for in-room wireless internet is silly--like charging for television. Also, $10 charge for parking is unreasonable, considering that the exit gate does not work and you need to wait for staff to buzz you out; after 11pm, you can't enter the hotel from the parking lot either, and must walk around the building in the dark, to the front entry where you must still wait for staff to unlock the door.”

- You pay $10 for parking, but then late at night you cannot enter the hotel from the parking lot!
“Comfortable bedding, average room amenities. Good water pressure in the bath. Wireless internet is only free in the lobby. This hotel is mishandling their parking--you pay $10/night for parking, but oftentimes the exit gate is left open so you could have come and gone without paying. This is because their card reader at the exit gate has been broken for at least 2 months and they must manually buzz each car out. Furthermore, after 11pm, they lock the hotel entrances (both front and back) and there is no cardkey reader for the exterior doors--so you must walk all the way around the hotel to the front door, and then ring the doorbell and wait for a staff member to let you in. Completely unacceptable.”

- I do not expect to be charged for parking at a suburban, 2.5* hotel.
“Can be difficult to find because of the maze of roads, but they do have small "doubletree" directional signs posted at some intersections. Hotel was comfortable; room was basic, but acceptable. Carpeting needs to be steam cleaned. Bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping respected the "no not disturb" sign. $10 charge for wireless internet is totally unacceptable--internet is more important than TV! Overall an acceptable stay, but they are not justified in charging $10/night for parking as this is a suburban hotel.”

- Staff is helpful! Site is close to the "t", room is clean and bed is comfortable.
- Wish that it had an on site laundry facility.
“It was great for my trip, right on the red line and the bus to joke library. It was easy to get to museums and restaurants. Since I don't use room service or a concierge, I prefer not to staying hotels where Iżd be paying for that service. The shuttle to the airport is essential and the driver was prompt and drove safely.”

“Given the location, the $10 parking fee is unreasonable. Additional charge for in-room internet is also unreasonable--this is more important than t. The room was on the small side, and with only basic decor. The carpeting was stained, though not overly dirty. Bathroom amenities were quite nice, and bedding was extremely comfortable. The thin walls and noise from adjacent rooms is an ongoing complaint, and the management should provide earplugs--a cheap solution. Cable t with many options was nice. I might stay here again if I had business in the immediate area, but for a Boston vacation, the location and other issues make this an unattractive option.”

- Hotel was conveniently located to south Boston downtown and had complimentary transportation service.
- Hotel had a small cafe, so we ordered from outside. We had Chinese food and delivery was quick.
“Hotel in a great location for business and convention. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. It had a cafe, but it was pricy. A restaurant in the hotel would make this hotel easily a 5 star hotel. Overall, this is a nice hotel and the staff was very helpful.”

- I had all I need; iron, coffee maker in the room, Neutrogena products, hair dryer and Internet facilities.
- I had to call Montreal and it cost me 30.00$US for 8 minutes call. I'm going to complain.
“Note that you have parking fees, which is 9.00$US per day. Little bit difficult to find the hotel but I appreciate my stay. It's quiet and the mattress was comfortable. The room was large and clean.”

- I liked its location, next to the bay. Also I could rent a fridge.
- The desk staff was often busy, did not give individual attention.
“This hotel was a good place to stay. I would recommend it highly. The rooms were clean and it is close to a subway stop. Get directions from the subway first, though, since it is confusing at first.”

- $, location fairly easily assessable to public transportation.
- Not very close to any nightlife events in Boston.

- Access to the T was right across the street.
- Would have liked a pool.

- It was very clean and had great accommodations, shuttle to downtown every hour.
- Nothing.

- Very friendly staff, very clean, comfortable bed, nice quite bar for night cap.
- No pool or hot tub.
“This hotel was easy to get to. It was very clean and had warm and welcoming staff. Great bar for a good a night cap, great bed for a good night's sleep and a great breakfast was available at Au Bon Pain Cafe located right on sight.”

- Comfy beds, pillows, Neutrogena bath products, super clean.
- Having to pay for parking, Internet should be free.
“What a great place! The building itself is old but extraordinarily clean. It was very comfortable with excellent beds and comfy pillows. We appreciated quality bath products and a great shower head (!). The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Very close to public transportation, which is nice. Safe parking is adjacent to the hotel, and Internet is available but costs extra. Overall it was wonderful.”
