- The beds were comfortable. The room were very clean it seems like that it wasn't a smoking room at all.
- Some of the things had a little bugged but they replaced it fast.
“Location: very convenient to public transportation. The rooms were clean and tidy. Even the smoking rooms were similar to those that were non-smoking. I think by what the say that it's a smoking room is that people can smoke in there. I didn't find much difference expect maybe the first time you open the closet door. Service: excellent. Generally, it is nearly excellent. I would stay there again. Although no free Wi-Fi, no breakfast and no free parking.”

- Their staff was helpful and attentive. The hotel was located near the Subway system (necessary in Boston).
- Their pool is actually the University of Massachusetts pool, which is located 3 blocks from the hotel.
“The hotel is in a good location for people on vacation or on a business trip. It is 2 blocks away from the Red line on the Boston subway, which means it is 10 minutes away from the Boston Common and all of the historic sites in Downtown Boston and 20 minutes away from Fen way Park and the suburbs. The front desk staff took the time to explain the Boston Subway system on our first day there. We would definitely stay there again.”

- Good location in relation to public transit and free cookies.
- It is not located in Boston Bayside.
“We made at least 3 separate phone calls to the front desk before finally finding the hotel. We are familiar with the Boston area, so our troubles were due this Double Tree's title: "Boston Bayside." It is actually located in the "Dorchester Ghetto," and we joked that it should have its name changed accordingly. We extended our stay, however, and found the accommodations fine for the dollar. The bed was fantastic, the room was clean, and it had a better than average shower. It is located very closely to the T (metro), and used it often. So, although it is in Dorchester, it is easy to access the city and other more impressive sites. Also the cookies, they are good and free, which is nice. They just wake you up sometimes in the middle of the night (2:15 to be exact) as the fresh smell of pizza oven and cookies is vented directly into your room. We had a good laugh about the entire situation, phone call to the front desk rectified by the free late night cookies.”

- The staff were really friendly and helpful. Made you feel welcome.
- It was in the middle of nowhere and you had to walk under a tunnel to get to the T.
“This hotel was really nice where the staff are friendly and helpful. The service was good too. Rooms were clean and so were the surrounding areas. The T is a walk away which isn't too bad. However, I didn't know about arranging for the complimentary airport shuttle so I took the T instead. I naturally assumed there would be a phone at the airport and there wasn't.”

- I liked how clean it was and how comfortable the rooms were (especially the beds!).
- The maid service was not very good in that they didn't restock us with coffee or coffee cups, and we never had enough towels (2 towels for 4 people).
“This Doubletree is a great place to stay if you are traveling on business or not planning to spend much time in the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable for sleeping and hotel staff is helpful, plus the Au Bon Pain in the hotel is a great place to have breakfast. This hotel is also very conveniently located very close to a T stop that heads straight into Downtown Boston. The only complaint I have is that our room was not stocked well with coffee or towels.”

- I would have liked to have more equipment options in the fitness room.
“The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Although my room was a bit chilly at first, once the heat was on, it was quite comfortable. It would be nice if the fitness room offered a wider range of equipment. Food options were not an issue, but a small refrigerator for the room would have been preferred so that leftovers would not have to be wasted. Overall, my experience at this hotel was very good and I would definitely stay there again.”

- The room, though small, had a good layout and was very clean. Staff attentive and competent.
- Wireless internet is not free (9.95$).
“Unbeatable for the price. Clean, nice room layout. No issues ironing, iron was new and outlets were accessible. Had enough space for me to open my huge suitcase and not trip on it on the way to the bathroom or to the bed. Which is not the case on every hotel I have been to? Quiet rooms, awesome beds. I was given a smoking room, even though it had booked a non smoking but they had done a good job airing it out. Only drawback: it's kind of out of the way of you are doing business Downtown ~10 13$ cab fare. I'd probably stay again.”

- Cleaning staff didn't refill creamer next morning. Paying for wireless internet is a rip off!

The negatives are that if you are allergic to feather pillows your only substitute is the hard decorative pillow. Also, there is a daily charge for wireless internet which is a total rip off.”

- Nice fitness area, cookies were delicious, deli looked good, very helpful staff, and walk to t-line.
- No on site laundry, not near any restaurants, have to pay for in-room wireless connection.
“Excellent location if attending an event at Boston expo center. Good for a short business related stay at reasonable price. Not set up for long term stays for any reason. Other areas around the city are better suited for long term visitors also at reasonable cost. No onsite coin laundry! Will not stay at this location again when touring Boston.”

- I loved the symbolic offering of a warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in to the hotel!
- I cannot think of anything. Keep up the great job!
“I would most definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to Boston someday! I felt extremely comfortable and pampered when at this hotel. I was treated like a king and warmly greeted and welcomed by all the staffs at the hotel made me feel welcomed, valued and appreciated! The hotel is within walking distance to the JFK/UMASS subway station to get around town without the need to use your own car and expensive parking in the Downtown Boston area. But overall, this hotel exceeded my greatest expectations!”

- The hotel is very clean and the welcome cookie is not bad too.
- The hotel charge $10 dollars for the wireless, and the charge $10 dollars for the parking.
“The good things about this hotel were that it's very clean, staffs are nice and the welcome is not bad. But, as for the travelers or even business travelers, I think the hotel provide free internet is import and the hotel charge $10 dollars for the wireless. The only one u could have free internet is to go to their business center (which have 2 computers and 2 printers (was not working at the time) or to bring your own cable line and connect the internet at the lobby. Also, the hotel is not located in downtown and the charge $10 dollars for parking. About the parking, I'm not satisfied too. When you check in the staff will ask you if you have your own car and they ask you to sign up. They will give you a ticket for parking just prove that you live in the hotel and the fee for parking is $5 dollars less than who just park there. There was no one looking after the customers car and the back of ticket that gave by the staff said: we are not here respond for customers cars if the got damage or stolen! So why do we need to pay $10 dollars for them?”

- Small lobby, understaffed or the staff was inefficient at check in. It took too long to check in.
“Large, comfortable beds w/ cool nice sheets. Food area is like a deli or sub shop but what I had was good and not too over priced. Van service to Logan was prompt and well run which was important. Front desk was slow and the elevators closed too quickly. I actually bruised my arm when the door shut on me before I expected it too.”

“Overall, the hotel was nice. Having access to a computer was good and their restaurant was good even though it wasnt your typical sit down and order restaurant. Room was clean and being able to take a shuttle downtown was good. $10 for parking wasnt a bad thing because of the shuttle service to downtown.”

- The staff, the door to door shuttle service to all areas of Downtown Boston, help with nearby attractions and restaurants, and friendly assistance.
- It was a bit run down (stained rugs, peeling wallpaper).
“Absolutely awesome staff, able and willing to go the extra mile. Nice room for the price except for what is described above. Would have been greatly enhanced by a pool, or a general statement upon check-in that the beach was around the corner!”

- Bedding extremely comfortable.
- Unfortunately, my room was next to the elevator which created noise with people getting on and off the elevator during the night.
“On the whole, we were extremely pleased. I was traveling with my son, his wife, and their children. Other than the elevator noise, I found both rooms to be quite suitable for the price and the staff was very courteous and helpful. I would stay there again and make sure my room wasn't next to the elevator next time.”

- Not a lot of dining variety onsite and no pool on the premises.
