- I did not like the room location. It was next to the heating/cooling units outside the window. Noisy.

- It was the perfect location to Quincy market where we went out for the night.
- A neighbor yelled at us when we got back. But that was quick and not their fault :).
“A group of us went into Boston for a Bachelorette party. We were shocked when we saw how nice the hotel was for the price we paid. It was a walkalbe distance from Quincy market (in heels and everything!). Everyone who worked there was extremely nice and we really enjoyed ourselves!”

- The rooms are very small. We were in a "larger" room, but it was still cramped.

- There wasn't anything we didn't like about this hotel.
“Staff was polite & accommodating. We arrived early & checked our luggage with the concierge. The location of the hotel was excellent - only 3 blocks to Quincy Market & Fanuiel Hall in one direction & a few blocks more in the other direction to downtown Boston & Boston Commons. The room was small, but with well-appointed modern features. Very comfortable king-sized bed.”

- The proximity to waterfront attractions was a plus. Beds and pillows were really comfortable.
- No coffee pot in room. Coffee urns in lobby were not kept refilled with hot coffee when we were in lobby.
“Check-in process was quick and efficient. Our room (king bed) was comfortable, though not particularly spacious. The bed itself, and pillows in particular, were extremely comfortable. We did not eat any meals in the hotel restaurant, which appeared to be upscale (i.e. Expensive), but did enjoy a drink in the bar before going out to dinner. The chairs in the seating area of the bar were stained and unattractive and the bar service somewhat lackadaisical, but the wine selections were quite acceptable. The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance of the aquarium, Faneuil Hall/ Quincy Market and "T" Stations. Staff was friendly and helpful in providing directions and recommendations for places to eat. Overall, our experience at this hotel was a positive one.”

- I liked that we needed a room key for the elevator to go up. This ensured that no one off the street could go up to any floor.
- Our room was not cleaned for the 2 nights that we stayed. The potato chips in the mini bar were 2 months past the expiration date.
“The hotel was clean and attractive. The beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I told them that our room was not cleaned while we stayed. They asked if we called but I didn't, since we were out all day sightseeing and to the Red Sox game at night and didn't return until after midnight. I wasn't going to call for housekeeping then. I had to get towels off the housekeeping cart by myself. They also need to check the expiration dates on the items in the mini bar in the refrigerator in the room, if they are going to charge $2 for a small bag of chips. But the front desk took off the $4 mini bar charge from our total bill since our room wasn't cleaned.”

- The staff was friendly and helpful, my room was large, attractively decorated and clean.
- Television set was small and far from the bed and the charges for internet were overly expensive.
“This hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of Boston, yet still has a feeling of being tucked away allowing for a nice quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city when the touring is done for the day. My room was comfortable and attractive and all employees of the hotel were very eager to please. My only complaints were the high price for the internet and a rather small clunky television set which was a little hard to see from the bed.”

- The location was fantastic! Only steps away from Faneuil Hall & waterfront. Only 10 min. walk to North end!
- Room small, ran out of tissues & toilet paper, maid rinsed used glasses & returned.
“This hotel is in a wonderfully convenient section of the city for tourists, even though it has a high level of business travelers. You are only steps away from the waterfront and Faneuil Hall. A 15 minute stroll will get you to the Old North Church in the North End. Public transportation is less than 5 mins away. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable.”

- The rooms were extremely clean with very comfortable beds and down comforters. Nice big size bathroom with all the amenities.

- Not enough storage only three small drawers in the mini-bar TV cabinet plenty of room for a dresser.

- Nothing to note.
“Great hotel. At first, my room was next to the elevator, which was very noisy. At my request, they promptly moved me to a quieter room. Valet parking is only $15 per night very reasonable compared to other Downtown hotels in other cities. Rooms are huge compared to most, and well appointed clean too. Location is very close to wharf and Faneuil Hall also close to a few metro stations. I'd stay here again.”

- Friendly staff and nice scale, could walk to a lot of interesting things.
- Not to close to Subway station. The bath had no towel bars or grab bars, also a magnifying mirror would be nice.

- They would not work with me on extending my stay at a reasonable cost.
“This is an excellent hotel. There is hot cider in the lobby at night and the coffee pots in the room are excellent for making your own in the morning. The in-room movies were great. The bathrooms had plenty of counter space, in contrast with another hotel I stayed in nearby. An excellent choice.”

- The location was very good, three blocks from T stop.
- Room was very small for four people, although the rooms sizes are probably variable.
“The marble floors and chandeliers in the lobby was a nice touch. The elevators were spacious; the hallways with an interesting choice of carpet- although they were a bit narrow. All of the workers here were kind. The library was a bit disappointing though; the internet connection had a range of good to disconnected, mainly leaning towards the disconnected side. The books were drab- although it was interesting to see what seemed like nearly every encyclopedia known to mankind, they were just that. Encyclopedias. I don't really know why they had them all, but who on earth did they expect to read them? Heaven knows I never saw a soul reading one. In conclusion, it was a posh place, but with some unnecessary embellishments.”

- The Hilton was in a location convenient to where I wanted and needed to go. I liked the luxury feel of the rooms.
- The restaurant was very pricey it did not compare to surrounding restaurants. And I could hear people slam their doors while I tried to sleep.
“The Hilton Boston Financial District is a beautiful hotel located next to Quincy Market, the Waterfront and many other attractions. A quick taxi ride can get you to shopping and historical sightseeing. Although it is in the Financial District, it is not just for the business traveler. It will be loved by all hotel connoisseurs.”

- Very good in room Lavazza coffee, and at the lobby in the morning.
- Trash and bits of food found in the hallway on regular basis; some of the food, like a half eaten roll, remained there for hours!
“Recommended for business travelers. Staff professional and friendly, but the hotel experience overall is a bit rough around the edges at times: lobby ran out of gratis morning coffee on two occasions, there were bits of trash left in the hallways for hours on end over the two days we stayed at the hotel. All these little problems started to add up, and gave us the impression that the hotel management was not really on top of everything. Location is okay, but isolated from the everyday activity of a city.”

- Outstanding staff, clean, great food.
- Parking was $38 a day found it for $27 for 2 days two blocks away.
“Location is great, staff is awesome, rooms are nice, parking is a issue they charge $38 per night, I found safe public parking two blocks away on milk/Oliver st for $27 for two days, so if you don't mind walking other than parking my stay was great and the staff were helpful, courteous and friendly.”

- Comfortable beds, nice neutral colors, and an amazing bathroom.
- If not familiar with the Downtown Boston area, this hotel can be difficult to find.
“I am familiar with the Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall area of Boston, but with all of the one-way streets in the area, this hotel was somewhat difficult to find. After getting situated, the hotel's location was very convenient, and in decent walking distance to everything that I was looking for, including 2 "T" stations. During the first full day of our stay, the city broke a water main or some type of steam pipe right outside the hotel, and the hotel actually ended up being without hot water and heat for about 8 hours of the day. I thought the hotel staff handled this situation fairly well, and felt that they were pretty honest with their responses about the situation. They did offer to refund our money if the situation did not get corrected. We went out for dinner and to a couple of local pubs, and by the time we returned, the heat and hot water were restored. The hotel has a very nice and convenient workout center on the basement level with all of the basic necessities. Overall, I liked the hotel, especially for the value, and I would definitely stay there again when visiting Boston.”

- Upscale hotel.
- Did not live up to 4 star expectations.
“We had a disappointing experience at the Hilton. Upon arriving, the entrance was crowded, we took care of ourselves and getting our bags to the room (not what we'd expect from a four star hotel). It was a romantic birthday get away. When checking in - we were informed that a steam pipe burst and there was no hot water or heat in the hotel. It was supposed to be restored that evening - it eventually came on in the early morning hours. We did not receive any accommodations for this inconvenience. The hotel lounge/restaurant was not of four star qualities - the setting was okay, we've been in nicer places. The whole experience was mediocre.”

- It was conveniently located and less expensive than other similar hotels.
- The suite was small and I had no hot water.
“The hotel is located in Boston. Although not the most ideal location, a short cab ride anywhere you need to go. The suite was much smaller than expected. The room and hotel was very clean. However; there was no hot water and expected some sort of a comp since I had to take the coldest shower of my life before going out on my girlfriend's birthday.”

- Great Location.
- Very disappointed with size of room. We were also given a view of the hotel air-conditioning unit.
“The Hilton Financial is in a great location if you're looking to take in some of Boston's attractions. It is walking distance to Fanuel Hall/Quincy Market, The Freedom Trail, and the aquarium. As for the Hotel, I thought the room that was provided to us very small with a view of the Hotel Air-conditioning unit. I'm not sure if this was just bad luck.”
