  • Location
  • Bathrom small.

“Was a little worried after booking due to some reviews. Staff was wonderful, very polite and attentive. Room had a pull out couch as well as queen sized bed. Bathroom was very small, but it is an old building so that is to be expected. Breakfasts were great in the AM, usually went back to the room due to the limited space in the breakfast area. Would definitely return!”

  • Nothing.
  • Internet not working, stuff incompetent.

“This is the worst hotel I ever visited. The rooms are tiny and in a bad state. The service is ridiculous, e.g. within 4 days they did not manage to get the internet working. The breakfast room is simply unacceptable as well.”

  • Rude staff, unprofessional, disorganized, lost my reservation, accusatory (even though their fault).

“Anybody who is considering staying at the Milner Hotel should think twice. I made a reservation to stay here about a month before my stay. I arrived in Boston (flew in from Toronto) and took the 25 minute cab ride from the airport and found the Milner Hotel. The receptionist at the front desk said they had no record of my reservation. I gave her a confirmation code, but she said it wasn't valid. I asked to speak with her manager but she said he was not there. After an hour of talking on the phone to my travel agent (and her talking to the receptionist), we gave up and went elsewhere (the Milner Hotel was full, as was the entire city virtually because of conferences in Boston at the time). The only hotel we could find in the city was the Embassy Suites - nice place, but $350 a night! One month later, I received a charge on my credit card - for a no show charge - from the Milner hotel! I called my travel agent - she called the hotel. They did not return her call (big surprise) until she threatened to fly down and call CNN as this experience was horrible. Finally the manager called back. They had spelled my name wrong, AND had put my reservation down for the wrong month! The manager had to put my travel agent on hold because "the cleaning staff were in a fist fight". Although the manager did refund the no-show charge and credited my credit card for the difference for one night between the Milner ($150) and the Embassy Suites ($350), it was not worth the hassle and the Milner's rude staff. I suggest to avoid this hotel at all costs. They are unprofessional, rude, disorganized, and above were accusatory to me even though it ended up being their error. Go anywhere else but the Milner.”

  • Reasonably comfortable bed. Make your own waffles included.
  • Doggy down-trodden room. very small, ugly decor, unfriendly obnoxious clerk.

“Stay here only if you can not afford anything else. We were given a lousy small room just a few doors from the main check-in desk. It was on a busy street at street level. I strongly do not recommends this hotel. A cruddy place.”

  • Excellent free continental breakfast.
  • Older, a bit of an odor. Very small rooms.

“Good value for downtown Boston, but not very elegant. Not fancy, but it's a clean but older place to stay.”

  • The breakfast.
  • Totally unacceptable, blanket ripped, sheets for pull was not even the right size, queen bed, twin sheets given not worth what I paid.

“This is not a hotel that should charge the prices they did, we confirm reservation for non smoking accommodations for up to 5 people, When we arrived they were originally going to be give us a room for 2 adults. As for as your customer service goes, they were worst than the clerks at the hotel. At least the hotel was helpful and tried to help us as best as they could. Your customer service staff, were ill manner and did not even know their own product information. I tried to ask for to speak to a manager and was disconnected. Not happy with my experience at all.”
