• Location, good condition, and attentive staff.
• Bath room had only a toilet and a tub. Could they stick a shelf and a hook in there?

“For the business traveler in the Boston Area, this is a good value and a comfortable place to end the day. Good room. Good size desk for work space. Good shower and bed. Room layout is not boring.”

• I appreciated the staff and their willingness to change our room which was overwhelmingly engulfed in perfume.
• The mattress was odd and uncomfortable.

“This hotel is conveniently located between our children one in Back bay Boston the other in Cambridge. The front desk as well as restaurant staff were courteous and professional. However, the comfort level of the mattress had changed since our last visit to this hotel. It was uncomfortable and as a result we would not choose this hotel again.”

• Comfortable, clean, updated, and just overall a great hotel.

“This Marriott definitely exceeded my expectations. From reading prior reviews I was a little hesitant, but this place is very nice. I highly recommend staying here, plus, the red line is right outside.”

• They had a very helpful and nice reservationist.
• They had the worst concierge in the world, really rude.

“I've been at this hotel before, and was able to give my car to a valet, and was treated like royalty. This time it was full and we had to park it ourselves. They should have the capacity enlarged. The attendant was curt and unfriendly, also.”

• Parking garage is expensive, so go for the valet!

• The skyline view and the T stop in courtyard.
• Extended my stay and they did not see reservation and locked us out of the room the last day. Pay parking $30/day.

“This hotel was very nice. They have Starbucks in the lobby plus a food court. Odd these things closed early on a Saturday before 4 PM. Cabs always waiting and T stop is right in the courtyard. The valet service was $30/day and totally not worth it.”

• The internet wasn't free. I've stayed at other Marriotts with free internet.

“This was a great deal. I stayed at a Marriott in Canada, and had a remarkably better experience at the Cambridge Marriott. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers.”

• The staff was friendly and amenable.
• The pool and hot tub were closed.

“We were disappointed when we were told that both the pool and hot tub were closed for our entire stay. We were told we could use the facilities a few doors down at the Residence Inn, however when we arrived there ready for a hot soak the tub was empty, After expressing the disappointment to the front desk person, he apologized and compensate us breakfast and parking. Handle it very well. The facility itself was very nice and comfortable. We would stay there again.”

• The hotel was in a very convenient location.

“The rooms in this hotel are posh! The fluffy comforters and pillows were a welcome ending to a very long day of enjoying Boston/Cambridge and all this area has to offer. On the way to your room, or before heading out for the day, grab some complimentary lemon or cucumber water - it's located in the elevator lobby. Overall, we enjoyed this hotel immensely and plan on making a return trip.”

• They should offer discounts at the parking garage.

“Overall was clean, neat. They let us check in early but then the garage charged us 2 full days for 27 hours of parking. The hotel itself was fine but the pool was not inviting. Room service was excellent and quick.”

• Hotel readily fulfilled my request for double room.
• Parking was extremely expensive.

“For anyone with a fear of heights, this hotel might present somewhat of a problem: there are 20-some stories, and the rooms have full-length plate glass window-walls forming one corner of the room that looks out over Boston and Cambridge. The beds are rather soft, with an odd combination of pillows--large square ones you would not use under your head, and then very small ones for sleeping that vary significantly in firmness (one was exceptionally soft, the other uncomfortably hard). We did not spend much time in the hotel, arriving late at night and checking out the next morning, so we had no time to sample amenities, but there was a Starbucks in the lobby and a T-stop in the courtyard. Also there were large carafes/urns of iced water--one with lemons, the other with cucumbers--in the lobby right next to the elevators, which I appreciated. We had little interaction with staff, but all that we encountered were pleasant.”

• Cost of parking $30/day.

“Wonderful breakfast buffet, comfy cozy bedroom with amenities. Excellent location to subway for ease in travel throughout the city. Good staff, felt like I was in a quality hotel.”

• Its convenience to public transportation and the views were phenomenal.
• The air conditioning was not functioning well in the hot weather.

“I really liked the location, although it was . As I said above, the AC had very limited controls and it would not get the room chilled down much. I like my hotels to be very chilly. I did appreciate the multimedia port next to the television; it was very convenient. I would stay here again, but if I had another AC problem, I would have to complain.”

• The room service was excellent, fast, prompt, hot and great food.
• The room air quality, ventilation was poor. Windows should open for air.

“Overall appearance was very good, clean. Valet and welcome were superior. Check in was immediate, staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Good location to Downtown Boston. Beds were super comfortable, room service was on time. Hearty plentiful breakfast, great food. Superior value for Marriott through Priceline. The only thing I was unhappy about was the very poor ventilation system. The room had floor to ceiling windows which were unable to be opened. The windows can be usable and still be safe. The air system did not ventilate the entire room. It worked correctly but just didn't freshen the entire room. Overall I would definitely stay here again.”

“This was a very pleasant, high rise hotel in a neighborhood. The area has few restaurants or watering spots, but there was an excellent movie house that plays art films as well as new releases close by.”

• My son really liked looking out the corner window from out 11th floor room. Convenient to MBTA red line.
• Nearby parking expensive;
  less than
  3 hours equals full day price; no in/out privileges.

• Nice staff; fantastic bed; comfortable room.
• Charge for WiFi exorbitant (13 dollars "noon to noon").

“This is an extremely large, well-serviced Marriott in the Kendall Square (MIT) area of Cambridge. Staff is excellent; room more than adequate; great bed and bedding. Quiet. I was annoyed by the 13 dollar a day Wi-Fi charge (noon to noon), but maybe that's not a concern to most folks. Location is not central to Cambridge, but right near T (metro).”

• The front desk staff was very nice and when asked for a nice room. They provided us with a big corner room.

“Great hotel, great staff. The pool was a decent size and the jacuzzi was a nice relaxer. The only problem we had was our bathroom light kept flickering on and off. We asked front desk to fix it. They promptly scheduled someone to check it while we went out for dinner. Unfortunately, the light could not be fixed. But we were not offered to change rooms.”

• Direct access to red line subway, in minutes in downtown Boston and Harvard Square. Breakfast was
  well priced. Nice pool/spa.
• The area is not comfortable for walking, has no charm.
