• The hotel has its interiors done in a unique color scheme. Such as bright red and yellow colors, which are found throughout the inside of the hotel?
• I wish they offered complimentary breakfast.

“If you are visiting Cambridge-ma, I will recommend this hotel to be paid a visit. It is located in a decent locality. The staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious for guests with all amenities.”

• Trendy hotel, close to shopping and other facilities.
• Room was a tad smaller than I expected for a 4-star hotel.

“Excellent place to spend a leisure weekend. Close to many attractions and adjacent to the Cambridge galleria shopping mall. The best part is the Charles river boat tour which starts right behind the hotel. Parking is pricey as is in such areas.”

• Sister tried to send champagne to room, too complicated, gave up, were told untruth about restaurant reservation availability.

“Beautiful interior, very friendly staff. Added touches, such as wine hour and coffee setup in morning were a bonus. Food overpriced, especially breakfast.”

• Staff was friendly. Free wireless internet.
• Staff was not terribly knowledgeable about directions.

“The rooms were very comfortable, if somewhat aggressively decorated. The doorman greeted us by name when we got out of the taxi from the airport. The location is somewhat out of the way for Cambridge--Harvard Square is quite a hike--but for Boston it's great--Lychmere T stop is very close. Lovely views of the city across the river, and very close for walks along the river. It was a good value and suited our purpose very well, but if you want to be located right in the heart of things, stay elsewhere.”

• Very attractive decor, helpful and friendly staff.
• Hard to find due to detours because of a river festival.

“Hotel decor is very attractive. Efficient and pleasant staff. Very pleased with dinner at the restaurant. Complimentary bicycles are provided and there's a great bike trail nearby that travels along the Charles.”

• It was beautiful, clean and roomy. Bathroom was immaculate and gorgeous.
• No shuttle service, though this is not uncommon in Boston.

“The hotel presented as a friendly atmosphere. Is a unique and beautiful hotel. Has a wine hour in the evening and free coffee and tea in the morning. Room was quite roomy, with three comfortable chairs. Bathroom was exceptional, and unusually clean. Turn down service with chocolates.”

• The decoration was not my taste. It was kind of lass Vegas room style. But it's not a great deal, since I like everything else.

• Glorious decor, pet friendly, nice wine at the end of the day in the lobby.
• The staff at the desk is always giving directions so there is always a wait. Should be more organized.

“Love this place. It is so different from a boring Hilton or Marriott. They love pets, the decor is just grand and they are really into healthy living. The location here is not great, though, so everyone bogs down the people at the desk with requests for directions to the t. But when I checked in at the end of the day, I had just missed the free wine in the lobby and when I mentioned I was looking forward to a glass of wine, they sent one right up to my room. I wish the restaurant was better. But all in all, I could live at the Marlowe.”

• Comfortable bed, fun decor, free bikes to ride the Charles river.
• Location was ok not great.

“Had a great time, enjoyed going for a bike ride along the Charles river, excellent meal, meat and fish choices were prepared perfectly at the hotel retardant, bambina. Would highly recommend for a couples weekend or business traveler.”

• Great, funky, hip atmosphere & furnishings, excellent location.
• We asked for a later checkout, but were only allowed to extend for an additional hour.

“Excellent location, staff was exceedingly helpful; the accommodations were both comfortable and attractive. We dined @ bambina, the hotel restaurant, and were very pleased with our meal. Our only complaint would be that our flight did not leave until later in the afternoon and although we requested a later check out we were only allowed to extend 1 hour beyond the regular check out time. Therefore, we had to figure out what to do with our belongings until we headed to the airport several hours later. Overall, an excellent hotel we would be pleased to stay @ again.”

• The staff did not respond to any of my emails. Was not sure if they were having trouble.

• Funky, fun hotel with great spirit and at a great price.
• Valet parking attendant was rude.

“The location is a bit out-of-the-way, but the hotel is chic yet friendly. Love the water bowl and welcoming sign for dogs out front, and seeing furry guests trotting through the lobby. Appreciate the passes to play squash at nearby courts.”

• Front desk was very helpful in guiding me to hotel. Hotel very clean and luxurious. Loved the mall next door.
• Had to pay for parking. Very difficult to find entry via underground parking garage for mall. Accessibility and location of door - poor.

“This hotel is beautiful. The room is very comfortable and nicely furnished. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Finding the hotel door on lower level c of garage was difficult. More signage is definitely needed.”

• Had to pay $20 a night to self- park. Valet was $28.

“Right next to the galleria mall in Cambridge. Walking distance to Lechmere stop on green line t. Staff was either very helpful or too rushed to help. Nice room, nice hotel. Near Boston.”

• Elegant simplicity, excellent location for shopping and dining and subway.
• No refrigerator.

“My spouse and I were pleasantly surprised with the hotel accommodations. The hotel had an elegant yet "hip" decor and feel. The hotel was attached by an indoor walkway to a 3-story shopping mall with eateries. Parking was also conveniently located below the shopping center, making it easy for us to park for the weekend and merely walk everyplace. We were also within a 10 minute walk to Boston's subway system. We enjoyed the walking path along the Charles River which was directly across the street from the hotel. We had a perfect weekend and would appreciate visiting Hotel Marlowe in the future.”

• Excellent Concierge. Staff seemed to enjoy their job and be proud of "their hotel".
• I wish the location were closer to a T stop.

• The staff was not very helpful. It took 45 minutes for them to pick up the phone at the front desk.

“I've stayed here twice and would stay here again. Staff is fairly attentive, everything is modern and hip. Rooms are clean. Some outside rooms have good views of the Charles River, but there is some street noise at night (and sometimes the ventilation systems kick in). The inside rooms face the courtyard and are also nice (more quiet). Great for all types of travelers.”

“The exotic decor was a pleasant surprise, and I very much enjoyed my last minute stay at this city hotel. While the hotel is not really in the heart of anywhere in Boston or Cambridge, there are some nice restaurants in the area, and it is very convenient for mall shopping. The shuttle bus to Kendall Square provides easy access to the Red Line, so you don't really need your car here. I really enjoyed the afternoon wine reception...a nice touch.”

• The leopard print terry bath robes were an interesting touch.
• I had made a reservation for a room with 2 double beds for 4 people and got a king with a roll away. There was no record of the # of people.

“The staff is very friendly and professional. The decor is decadent and luxurious. The wine and cheese hour in the evenings was a nice touch. The location is right around the corner from the Museum of Science and a T stop which makes it very convenient.”

• Not near a T Stop. And the hotel brunch was weak.

“It is luxurious, comfortable and sublime. I will be back, for sure. The decor is so over the top. I felt pampered most of the time, but the Sunday Brunch was poor and you need a taxi to get here.”

• The service was great.
• Valet parking was not so great. they said it would take about 15 minutes for them to retrieve the car, but in most cases it was more like 25-30.

“It was a good hotel; very convenient. however, next time we will know not to use the valet parking and just self park for less $.”

• The decor is really beautiful and unusual and there are lots of thoughtful little touches all over.
• The cleaning staff didn't do a great job in our room.

“The hotel is wonderful - the staff at the front desk was incredibly helpful with getting us dinner reservations and giving us directions. The decor is beautiful and unusual - no beige carpeting here. Plus there are lots of nice touches - like free wine tasting every evenings, umbrellas in the closets, and complementary yoga bags delivered to your room. However, the yoga TV channel was down for the duration of the stay, so we were unable to use it. Also, the cleaning service didn't do a great job - they didn't throw out empty bottles and didn't put our ironing board back in the closet (though maybe I'm just being too picky). The complementary Internet access in the room was wonderful and we both wanted to bring the chairs and the bed home with us - super comfortable!”

• Nearly new, looks like it was built yesterday. Extreme decorating. what is that, a mink throw on the bed.
