• Could walk to our daughter's college, connected to the mall.
• The lighting in the hallways - dreadful yellow. Parking $40! We parked else where and walked.

“Very convenient - to the T, to shopping, to museums, to colleges - Room was nice and had all the amenities. Bed comfortable. No complaints.”

• The location is excellent, the rooms were modern and the beds were very comfortable, helpful staff.
• The pool area is nice, but not overly warm or tropical which is a nice touch at other hotels I've stayed at.

• The hotel was lovely. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We had a great view of the Charles River.

• I liked the location of this hotel. Staff was great. Shopping was attached.
• Restaurant was very expensive for breakfast.

“Really enjoyed our visit to Boston and this hotel. First class service and rooms were great and very clean. The location was great because it was close to the T and also had a wonderful shopping mall attached to the hotel.”

• Beautiful and except for bad dining experience a perfect place to stay.
• Paying $40 per person for breakfast.

“This hotel has the best location, is super deluxe, clean and was a real treat. At breakfast the next day the server asked if we'd like juice before we saw that it was $4.00 per glass.”

• Beautiful view of Charles River.

“We were greeted in a professional but very friendly manner. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite which and was just perfect. The bed as all Westin hotels was incredibly comfortable and our stay could not have been better. I highly recommend this hotel.”

• Loved the smell, the heavenly bed, and shower. Good service and an oasis in the city.
• Lobby is a little cold. Turner restaurant ignored me as a single person so I left before I ever got a menu.

“Room decor was restful and contemporary. Wish there was an i Pod player. I had a drink in the lounge good service at sushi in the restaurant then went to Turner's and was ignored. So I left and went to The Palm. Had a good dinner at the bar with excellent service. Had spend a full week in the Harvard dorms for an intensive workshop and needed one nice night before I headed back for another week of dorm food and single beds. The Westin was all I knew it to be.”

• I shouldn't have to pay for internet access.

“My experience in this hotel was just short of perfect. Parking was a bit expensive ($42 per night) and they charged for internet access. The staff was very nice and the room was excellent.”

• Great location, easy to walk all over town, walked to Fenway and to Downtown.

“The Hotel is in a great location, near everything. Easy walk to Fen way Park, Newbury St., Boston Common, and near public transportation. It's also attached to a mall that connects to another mall and several hotels. The hotel staff was excellent, I arrived at 8:00am on a red eye from SFO, not thinking I would be able to check in until the afternoon, I was very happy to check in and get some sleep that morning. The restaurant is excellent, I had the chowder and a salad, the bar tender was great. He recommended some good nearby nightlife. Overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel and could stay there again if ever in Boston. I had a great time in Boston and the hotel was one of the reasons why.”

“This hotel is situated in the heart of Copley Square. Shopping, dining and sight-seeing are all a hop, skip and jump away from the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and the staff is very welcoming.”

• Very convenient to downtown Boston.
• Only had valet parking that cost $48 per night for guests.

“Big bullet item - they charge for any internet service (wireless and wired), I didn't need it, but if I had been on business travel, that would have been a big inconvenience. The front desk is slightly understaffed, I waited in line for about 15 minutes, but once I was served, the staff was very polite and extremely helpful. Room was fairly spacious compared to others of a similar rating that I have stayed in. Staff was very helpful (from front desk to valet service). I was surprised to see how friendly they were when I walked in dressed in jeans and T-shirt (they realize that I am obviously willing to pay for their room, so what I look like isn't important) and they were warm and hospitable towards my 4 kids. Rooms were overall very nice - bathroom had some cracks and needed a little TLC, but not by any means dirty or overly run down.”

• Concierge was great! Location perfect.

“Westin service was great! From the concierge, check-in staff, maid service, all was what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. Rooms were comfortable but not overly done, location was perfect, gym and fitness area were excellent. Must say concierge was very helpful, great suggestions, really interested in making the trip a memorable one.”

• The waiting time for the elevators during a major holiday.

“We enjoyed our stay on New Year's Eve. Our 1 hour drive to Boston took us 3 hours due to a snow storm. It was a relief to arrive safely. Once there we were able to begin the festivities of 1st night. Though we ventured outside with 0 degree winds and enjoyed the family fireworks display around 7:00 pm, we enjoyed our walk through the mall to the Convention Center to enjoy the festivities inside. We brought our New Year in at the Bar 10 located inside the hotel. It was a very enjoyable and fun experience that I will definitely repeat. The hotel I found to be the perfect location and the staff very helpful and friendly.”

• Lounge was crowded and had horrible dance music. I could not picture sitting for even one drink.

• The management was accommodating when we expressed a concern.
• The bed was nice, but the room was not as nice as the bed; it was fine, but the furniture was a bit outdated for a 4-star hotel.

“When we got to the room, there was a terrible, strong air freshener smell that made me nauseous. I called the front desk and they immediately moved us to another larger room with a really nice view. This was really nice of them and I appreciated it.
