• The beds were awesome.
• No comment.

“It was nice that we did not have to step outdoor to go to the hynes convention center-we could shop right there locally. Taxi's were available without wait. The beds were the most comfortable bed, I have slept in a hotel.”

• Connected to an indoor upscale mall.
• $80 of mini bar charges accidentally added to our bill, removed when we pointed out that we had not used at all.

“Conveniently located, short distance from the green line of the T, next to the Boston Public Library. The Marriott and Westin are hotel anchors for an indoor shopping mall, nice to grab breakfast at Au Bon Pain or Starbucks without going outdoors. Well furnished workout and pool area. 38 floors, but plenty of speedy elevators, only 1 time had to wait more than seconds. Bar was too crowded to find seating even with the overflow into the lobby on a Friday night. Rooms quiet, comfortable, great view. Overall favorite Boston hotel to date.”

• It was a great location, beautifully appointed, and amazingly comfortable bed/linens.
• Our dinner at on of the hotel restaurants was very pricey and less than outstanding meals.

“This hotel was really wonderful. Our room had a fabulous view of the city and Boston Harbor. The room was lovely and the bed was sumptuous! Very high quality linens that just oozed with luxury. The location was perfect for shopping, walking on Newbury street and dining. The hotel spa was excellent and the entire hotel staff was extraordinarily gracious.”

• Attached to a mall which was very convenient in the rain.
• Bathroom had souvenirs from last guest but what can you do?

“Overall the experience met my expectations. Of course that was a disaster, but that was what I expected. I think that only the most ridiculously upscale establishments can follow through with special requests. Minor issues, but telltale. Other than that, typical chain hotel room with great things around and attached to it. Great location.”

“Hotel was overbooked and we were placed in an adjoining suite of the governor's suite in two trundle beds that were rolled in. The next day we were moved to a junior suite and offered one night of valet parking free ($40). Upon checkout we had a valet parking charge of $120 for three days. When our car was brought out of the parking garage it was left practically in the street with the door open. We asked the valet if he was going to bring the car into the hotel driveway and he said it was our problem. We then went back in and they credited us another $40 for the rude service. Too much drama!”

• Room and hotel is very modern, connected to the Prudential Mall and very accessible to everything in town.
• The staff did an ok job.

“Very comfortable beds, great location for Downtown Boston, restaurants was not very good and selection was limited to 'large, expensive meal' format. Great workout facility.”

• Clean, good location, friendly staff, very comfortable bed and bedding.
• The hot tub smelled badly. The pool was not as big as I expected.

“In general, it was a very good experience. We took our son to visit Boston University and stayed there. The parking fee was a little bit too high $40. It is $10 to Boston University by taxi if you are in hurry to get there. We had to because we were almost late for the orientation.”

• The room fully met my expectations and the beds were very comfortable.
• Need a better selection of restaurants that are geared for families.

“The hotel was clean the staff very helpful. However there needs to be a restaurant for families. The restaurants were geared for more sophisticated tastes, except for the bar, which offered pizza and burgers. Other then that, the hotel is great.”

• Staff very friendly; beautiful room; free river-view upgrade.

“The Westin at Copley Place is a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. We were very pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a Riverview room without even asking for an upgrade. At check-in, our two children, ages 4 and 6, each received a Westin Kids Club bag with a safari hat, several post cards, and crayons in it. They loved it and are still wearing the hats. The hotel is very convenient to get to by car, and is very close to the subway station.”

• The "heavenly bed" has such luxurious linens and feels so crisp and clean.
• The hotel building itself is too tall for my taste.

“The Westin Copley in Boston is centrally located to many city landmarks and universities. Best of all it is interconnected with the mall so you have accessibility to shops, restaurants and coffee houses - even in inclement weather, you don't have to go outside. I also love the fact that you can easily walk over to Newbury St. Parking is such a hassle there since it draws large crowds of people.”

• It was convenient, clean and had a great lounge with music.
• The lounge was very crowded.

“The hotel, from the valet parking attendants, to the employees in the hotel were very friendly and professional. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.”

• The radio was impossible to figure out. There was no listing of local radio stations. The drains in the bathroom made odd sounds at odd times.

“The Westin is a high end hotel, with well trained staff. The Copley Plaza Westin is no exception. The location is great and the rooms have good views. The rooms are not as soundproof as they might be and the bathroom drains seem to make sounds when upstairs bathrooms are being used. The in room radio was not of high quality, so did not function well. There are at least 5 NPR stations in Boston and not one of them could be received on the radio.”

• Gym was so-so, wait at front desk was a bit long.

“Ideally situated in the heart of downtown Boston, the Westin Copley Place has a wide range of amenities on-site including restaurants and upscale shops. The design isn't particularly stylish or romantic, but the rooms are spacious and clean.”

• Coffee pot was missing & bathroom was not clean.

“The room was spacious and comfortable. My main complaint was the door that connected our room to the adjacent room was paper-thin. I was awoken at 2:30am by a phone conversation of the guest in the next room (it sounded as if he was sitting at the foot of our bed). The air vents in the room were caked with dust and the coffee pot was missing. While the location of the hotel was great, I feel too many details were overlooked to justify a 4-star rating.”

“The hotel was accommodating. I enjoyed my stay there. The room was nice, and spacious. I wish there were less-expensive restaurant choices available and free internet access. My experience, although, was very positive.”

• The prices of the food. The prices should encourage people to eat at the hotel. We ate only once.

“It was one of the finest hotels that I've had an opportunity to visit. Very comfortable, clean, and is located in the heart of Boston. Everything that we could have asked for as a place to spend our honeymoon. AWESOME!”

• Convenient location and superior room amenities.
• Room service menu was too expensive to order from, especially with restaurants nearby.

“I found the hotel to be quite comfortable, and within very easy access of public transportation, shopping, and dining. It definitely met my expectations. My only qualm was that some of the room amenities were not clearly explained; specifically a movie I rented did not clarify that it could not be paused or rewound once ordered, and there were bottles of water next to the TV which did not indicate that they would be charged to the room simply be being moved off their stand, which of course I did to examine them before returning them to their space, assuming that I would only be charged if they were actually consumed. After being charged I still didn't consume the bottle of water I paid for, believing that if I were to move it again the room charge would be duplicated.”

• Dog friendly, no pet fee. Convenient area to walk dogs. Provided bowls and dog bed.
• Valet parking = $40/night, was not expecting that.

“Westin is one of the best hotels in Boston. Everything at your fingertips, attached to the mall, one block from the T, pet friendly, no pet fee, great bar in the lobby. Perfect.”

“Good stay overall. Called about parking and were told valet parking available. When arrived was told our ford expedition was too big and we had to find parking ourselves, even though other oversized vehicles were parked in front of hotel!”

• Expected 4-star to be plusher-this was comfortable, but like Sheraton level.

• Location was excellent; Convenient to public transportation, restaurants.
• Honor bar, please, $4.95 for a bottle of water? Plastic cups in the bathroom. Small bathroom.

“I was expecting something nicer for the Westin. The 3 star was far superior in the pool and spa area (dressing room with lockers right next to the pool/exercise area). The Westin staff were all great. The location is wonderful-inside access to Copley Place and then to Prudential shops. Was very nice on a blustery snowy day”

“Excellent overall experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone .The hotel bar was awesome. Sorry I did not try the fish restaurant there but ran out of time. Location was excellent. Staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful.”

• The lack of soft drink vending machines.

“A very well situated four-star hotel with a well-trained staff. Turner fisheries restaurant is absolutely first rate. I didn't check out bar 10 in the lobby, but it must be doing something right because it was packed. For some odd reason, the hotel offers ice machines, but no soft drink vending machines. The clerk I spoke with suggested I go across the street to a CVS to buy soft drink. I thought that was a little shabby. Overall though, an excellent hotel for business travelers, and couples who want a nice getaway in Boston.”

• Public spaces/lobby was crowded.

“The hotel was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Boston. We did not spend much time in the room and it was located nearby to many attractions as well as to public transportation, so we were easily able to get places on foot (thanks to maps and directions for helpful staff) or by train/bus.”

• Location to where we wanted to be in Boston.
• All of the elevators had a failed inspection sticker in the elevators.

“Beautiful Hotel, great location to the back bay area. Nice shops included in the Hotel complex. Great choice of restaurants and watering holes in the complex. Excellent staff and very fast and efficient.”
