“I feel that if they want to charge for parking then it should be part of the room charge and not an add on. I do not like surprises like that, they did credit me 20 dollars which was nice.”

• Convenient to shopping, convenient to the T, nicely appointed rooms.
• The only ground-floor exit directed you directly into valet parking traffic and a busy road.

“Hotel was very nice, very convenient to Back Bay, Newbury Street and two major T lines. The higher rooms must have spectacular views, but we still had decent views at the 13th floor. We noticed our sink was clogged when we returned to the room at 2 am and upon calling the front desk, they offered to have someone up to fix it immediately. We asked instead that they have someone come up around 10 am the next morning and they were right on time. Very pleasant service.”

“Location was top's for Boston. Room was nice and clean. The bathroom was in need of some work, it's just old and needs to be updated but was clean. Climate control and services were very good.”

• The heavenly bed and shower live up to their names.
• At $40 a night parking is way too expensive. Parking drive-up is extremely congested.

“The hotel place is in a great location, central to many attractions and dining. Check-in was quick and the free lemonade at the counter was welcome on a hot summer's day. Our room on the 13th floor was clean, and had a decent view of the south end. The heavenly bed and shower lived up to their names. Although the hotel was packed with guests, we never heard a sound in our room. When I called the hotel's service express number, the clerk was friendly, referred to me by name and was able to send up a porter and arrange to have my car brought around front quickly. I would absolutely stay here again.”

• Wonderful view, wonderful location, clean, friendly and very helpful staff.
• Could have used a night light in the bathroom.

“The hotel was very accommodating in allowing us to stay a couple of hours past the regular check-out time, keeping our luggage in a locked luggage room while we attended a wedding in another location and making sure we did not pay an additional fee for keeping our car in the hotel garage. The staff in the hotel were professional, gave excellent public service. The hotel was most comfortable and clean. We had a room with a spectacular view--from the 27th floor.”

“Great experience, great room. Accommodated us to check in early and get a King Sized Bed. Entire hotel is non-smoking, which is a definite plus. Also, had free wireless connection in the lobby.”

“For the price, this was below expectations. Bed wasn't made when we got there. Housekeeping never showed up during our one day in between nights. Bathtub was clogged. Called for a room service menu and it took over an hour to deliver at 11 p.m. on a Saturday, so the staff wasn't swamped. Not very responsive for the various problems we had.”

“This hotel is beautiful and the location is very convenient to the T, walking distance to Fen way Park, shopping and restaurants. I find it very discouraging to have to pay for internet services, $10.00 per day. As far as hotel restaurants, we did not spend time at these area, but if a place like Holiday Inn express or The Hampton Inn can serve a hot continental breakfast, why can a 5 star hotel offer complimentary muffins. Along this line, just because they have a stocked refrigerator in the room, I feel as if they should also offer said machines. Instead you are forced to pay $5.00 for a can of soda.”

• The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was roomy enough for two people.
• The registration desk on the second floor wasn't very convenient.

“The location is convenient to the Subway and Newbury Street. The check in staff was very helpful and efficient. We needed a rollaway and it was delivered very quickly. A good value.”

“If you want to be in the Back Bay, The Westin is a very comfortable Hotel to stay at. Service was excellent. Within walking distance to many sights. Public transportations nearby. Hotels in this class should not charge for internet use.”

• Great location, easy on site parking, good lobby bar, close proximity to shopping.
• Was charged for honor bar items we did not use, found clothing articles left in closet, needs to upgrade TV.

“The Westin Copley has the great benefit of location and convenience. The rooms have a spa feel with high quality linens, some special touches in the baths, and a modern decor. We were disappointed to find the room did not have a flat screen TV (I just recently returned from a Holiday Inn in Minnesota that had a flat screen TV) and to find a pair of someone's undergarments on the shelf in the closet.”

• Nothing much, it is a good hotel.

“We liked it, clean, close to everything in Boston, good restaurants attached and it is in the Prudential Center, which is great for shopping, if you are there in the winter you never have to go out into the cold to enjoy yourself.”

“Smack dab in the middle of Back Bay, this hotel is very convenient to almost anything in Boston. The accommodations are grand, the service helpful, and the beds. Fit for a king! I checked in with my girlfriend on a Saturday morning with a wedding in the afternoon. Not only did the hotel allow us to check in early (so we could nap) but we also discovered a great mall connected to the hotel that allowed my girlfriend to do some last minute shoe shopping! A great find.”

• Automatic charges applied to bill for mini-bar items that were not used.

“We contacted the hotel to notify them of our late arrival. We checked in after 11pm; our room was ready and waiting. Our room was on the nineteenth floor. It offered beautiful views of the city, luxurious sleeping accommodations. Our only complaint was the hotel's assumption that we had consumed a bottle of water from the bar in the room.”

“It was nice that we did not have to step outdoor to go to the hynes convention center-we could shop right there locally. Taxi's were available without wait. The beds were the most comfortable bed, I have slept in a hotel.”

• Connected to an indoor upscale mall.
• $80 of mini bar charges accidentally added to our bill, removed when we pointed out that we had not used at all.

“Conveniently located, short distance from the green line of the T, next to the Boston Public Library. The Marriott and Westin are hotel anchors for an indoor shopping mall, nice to grab breakfast at Au Bon Pain or Starbucks without going outdoors. Well furnished workout and pool area. 38 floors, but plenty of speedy elevators, only 1 time had to wait more than seconds. Bar was too crowded to find seating even with the overflow into the lobby on a Friday night. Rooms quiet, comfortable, great view. Overall favorite Boston hotel to date.”

• It was a great location, beautifully appointed, and amazingly comfortable bed/linens.
• Our dinner at on of the hotel restaurants was very pricey and less than outstanding meals.

“This hotel was really wonderful. Our room had a fabulous view of the city and Boston Harbor. The room was lovely and the bed was sumptuous! Very high quality linens that just oozed with luxury. The location was perfect for shopping, walking on Newbury street and dining. The hotel spa was excellent and the entire hotel staff was extraordinarily gracious.”

• Attached to a mall which was very convenient in the rain.
• Bathroom had souvenirs from last guest but what can you do?

“Overall the experience met my expectations. Of course that was a disaster, but that was what I expected. I think that only the most ridiculously upscale establishments can follow through with special requests. Minor issues, but telltale. Other than that, typical chain hotel room with great things around and attached to it. Great location.”

“Hotel was overbooked and we were placed in an adjoining suite of the governor's suite in two trundle beds that were rolled in. The next day we were moved to a junior suite and offered one night of valet parking free ($40). Upon checkout we had a valet parking charge of $120 for three days. When our car was brought out of the parking garage it was left practically in the street with the door open. We asked the valet if he was going to bring the car into the hotel driveway and he said it was our problem. We then went back in and they credited us another $40 for the rude service. Too much drama!”
