“Overall hotel itself was quite good, very clean and luxury. Also its location is awesome, just outside train station is located (Prudential Station). But the staff including manager was not friendly and helpful to its guest.” May 17, 2008 by
Samantha from Boston, MA
“Loved it! Restaurant was nice, gym was nice my view was wonderful and the surrounding shops and restaurant also made the hotel in a perfect location to visit Boston. I was a week early on the pool.” May 7, 2008 by
Jennifer P. from Chelmsford, MA
“I wouldn't stay there again, but overall it wasn't bad.” May 2, 2008 by
Jessica from Edinburg, TX
“I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Boston who needed to stay the Hynes Convention Center. The train stop was right in front of the hotel and it was a $1.70 to get to the airport from the hotel via train and same getting there. Thanks for making my first time using you all a great experience.” Apr 29, 2008 by
Jeff from Belle Mead, NJ
“It is in a great location right across from the prudential building. The concierge was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were nice with little extras like a single cup coffee maker and a big flat screen TV.” Apr 27, 2008 by
James from Bellaire, TX
“Nice rooms.” Apr 25, 2008 by
Zoot from Exton, PA
“Not bad, but not four star either. The room was clean and neat but the next morning my in room coffee maker had not been cleaned and my shampoo and soap not refilled. When I asked about a cafe for breakfast the staff and manager didn't know of anyplace in historic Boston expect for Starbucks. The concierge however, was helpful and knowledgeable, just overworked. Room not ready at 2:30, said they would call me. They did, at 5:30.” Apr 13, 2008 by
Mahin from New York, NY
“Rooms were clearly newly renovated and looked nice. Comfortable beds as well. Not much else is good however: Construction and renovations continue with no notification when you are making a reservation. Service is awful. Front desk manager is very junior and not experienced. Climate control does not work properly. Our room was pinned at 75 degrees during the night. Not good sleeping temp. They moved us after we complained about temp and noise to a room that was even more noisy! Hotel tried to make amends by buying us dinner at Brasserie Jo, nice gesture but not nearly enough especially since the restaurant is just ok. I left very disappointed and will never return.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Alan from Dana Point, CA
“A great European feel right in Copley Square. Joe's is an excellent restaurant with a French feel.” May 2, 2006 by
John from Los Angeles
“Great hotel in a terrific location. Walking distance to Fen way Park. Across from the largest mall in Boston. Great Gym. Awesome staff who were so nice. Felt like a bed and breakfast. This is our new favorite hotel in Boston. Loved the rooms. Small TVs but big room with nice robes and great views. Highly recommend.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 4, 2005 by

“The rooms were small and dark, the bathroom was not updated, the bed linens were old and scratchy, and the hotel staff had no respect for their guests. Jun 4, 2005 by
Wendi from Maine
“This hotel is in an ideal location, but it not as nice as many of the hotels in the area. I would rate this hotel 2 1/2 stars. If I had paid full price I would have been very disappointed.” Oct 4, 2004 by
Lawrence L. from New York, NY “Nice and clean, out of the downtown area.” Sep 20, 2004 by
Patricia C. from Holden, ME “I liked the Colonnade in Boston for the convenient location to the Prudential Center and other area shopping. I also liked going outside and to the Boston T subway within a minute walking distance. The hotel staff was courteous, friendly and the concierge was especially helpful with directions and maps. The only problem I had was there were no bath towels for showers. I had to call the desk twice, once at night and then again in the morning to request towels which were promptly brought to my room. Other than that everything went well and I would stay again at the Colonnade.” Sep 20, 2004 by
John M. from Sharpsburg, GA “The room was the problem. It was a 2-star room in a supposedly 4-star hotel. Plumbing was problematic, could not find an outlet for the iron (had to fish a power strip from under the bed), the carpet and bed were not nice, and there was no coffee maker which I appreciate in the morning. I would have had one at a Hampton Inn or something like that at a much lower class of hotel.” Sep 20, 2004 by
Christiane B. from Tucker, GA “The Colonnade's location is excellent. T rail is directly in front of the entrance. Walk to Fen way. Lots of places to eat (and shop) at Prudential Center across the street. Limitation: not even a coffee shop or machines or coffee in room on site- food/drink restricted to an expensive rather formal restaurant and a hotel mini-bar.” Sep 19, 2004 by
Kathleen K. from Bethel, CT “We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was close to many great restaurants, shopping and historic sights. Boston is fun!” Sep 18, 2004 by
Margaret O. from North Woodstock, NH “We loved the location of the Colonnade. We were able to walk everywhere from Fen way Park to shopping at the Prudential center and Newbury Street. The hotel was very clean and well kept with a polite, efficient staff. The hotel did not offer valet parking. However; the parking garage was adjoining and very easy to get to. The morning we were departing they began drilling in the room next door, extremely early in the morning, waking us up. When we asked them to stop they did for a few minutes and then resumed drilling shortly after. When we complained at the desk, they did not seem to know anything about it. Overall, I thought the hotel was just o.k.” Sep 18, 2004 by
Bob Z. from Cupertino, CA “Service and amenities were good, but a little below what I expected. The alarm clock didn't work and was replaced after I called maintenance. A light bulb was burned out and was replaced after I called maintenance. The maid service didn't clean the room one day until I called, and I didn't receive a newspaper on 2 out of 3 mornings.” Sep 14, 2004 by
Patricia G. from Adams, MA “We stayed at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston and it met all our expectations that we needed. We were there for the Jimmy Buffet concert at Fenway, and with the help from the staff at the hotel, the provided both written and verbal directions along with their own recommendation as to how we could get back and fourth. I highly recommend this hotel. It was also very easy to get to from the Mass. Pike.” Sep 13, 2004 by
Karen M. from Coral Springs, FL “The hotel had construction work going on all day starting early in the morning. When you called to make a complaint they were pretty nasty. I would never stay there again or would I recommend the hotel. POOR customer service.” Hotel Representatives:
