“Hotel was incredibly convenient right off the thruway and in the middle of many opportunities for visiting. Hotel staff was great except they did not see how easy it would have been to accommodate a person with their pool....when I called they said it was accessible but not with ladders and no steps. The room was small but accessible. The bathrooms were great!” Aug 11, 2009 by
Theresa from Nevada City,CA
“Beautiful hotel with great staff. Only complaint - thin walls, noisy neighbors - we contacted the front desk, yet no one ever asked our neighbors to quiet down.” Aug 9, 2009 by
Laura from Harrison,NY
“We have stayed at the Colonnade many times because of the hotel itself and it's location in Boston.” Apr 27, 2009 by
John from Anchorage,AK
“The room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Well located near shopping, and the Boston attractions. We stayed there while running the Boston Marathon. Food was good in La Brasserie.” Apr 27, 2009 by
Jo Ann from Brooklyn,NY
“It was pure luxury.” Apr 3, 2009 by

“This is my first time to Boston and I don't think I'd bother trying anyplace else on my next trip. Right in the heart of town in the back bay of the city.” Nov 1, 2008 by
Julia

“Excellent location. Excellent room. Self-park garage with elevator access into the hotel is exceedingly convenient.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Beth from Libertyville, IL
“My family enjoyed a long weekend in Boston. The hotel was in walking distance to Fen way and Quincy market. Granted we like to walk and it's a great walking city. The hotel was very clean and the beds some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. It was also quiet. The rooftop bar was spectacular.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Richard from Falmouth, ME
“My wife and I had a wonderful time at this property. The location was right across from the Prudential Center and there was a green line station right at the door of the hotel. The room was excellent with a wonderful bed and high quality linens. The workout room and roof top pool were a nice touch. I was very please with the entire experience.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Caroline from East Williston, NY
“It was clean and sophisticated with modern decor.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Teela from St. Louis, MI
“The service was great and helped with questions about transportation and places to see. When we first arrived we had a problem with our toilet running, after a call to the front desk a repair man came right up and fixed it within ten minutes of our call. That's service! The hotel itself was very beautiful and elegant. We definitely got our money's worth. The hotel is located in a great spot. It's not to far from area attractions and the Subway is right next to the hotel. If you need a taxi the bell hop is right there to assist you. Overall this hotel was worth every penny and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely go back and refer this hotel to a friend.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Connie from Temple, TX
“I was very comfortable and felt safe at this hotel. I was located very close to the Hynes Convention Center where I was attending a conference.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Tiffany from Villa Park, IL
“Wonderful hotel in Boston. The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood with a mall across the street. It is very clean and has beautiful rooms. The only complaint I have is that the pool closed early, at 8 pm and it was a very small pool.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Robin from Atlanta, GA
“The Colonnade Hotel was great! We were traveling with our teenagers and were able to get two rooms for a very reasonable rate. The front desk personnel were very accommodating and let us check in early. The rooms have been recently renovated and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the plasma TVs, mp3 player/clock radio and new coffee maker. The hotel is close to shopping, dining, and the subway. The roof top pool is nice and we had a great breakfast in the bistro downstairs. We would definitely stay there again!” Jul 11, 2008 by
Mark from Gainesville, FL
“Excellent place to stay. Friendly and accommodating staff. Very modern decor. Rooftop pool is great fun. Overall terrific stay.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Emilio from Desoto, TX
“The convenience of this hotel to the T train was superb. Having the ability to come and go safely throughout town is a big plus. Its proximity to other venues in Boston makes it the ideal place to lodge. Malls, trains, Duck Tours, etc. Thanks for a great experience.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Reza from Matawan, NJ
“Copley Square is an excellent location to stay in Boston. However, this hotel does not have any ambiance. The lobby is very small and not a place to socialize. It is only good for checking in and out. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. If you lock the bathroom door, which is a sliding door, the lock can get stuck and you can be trapped in the bathroom, which can be very scary. TV reception is poor, which makes the large flat screen TV's in the rooms seem like a waste. Overall, there are better places to stay in Copley Square.” Jul 9, 2008 by
John from Haverhill, MA
“Great location, very comfortable with a great view.” Jul 7, 2008 by
Kay from Dallas, TX
“I like that the Subway stop was right outside the door so you could easily get anywhere. The linens were fresh and new. The view was lovely and the restaurant was very good. I felt very safe. The staff was ready to answer any questions and very helpful. The doorman was very nice!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 27, 2008 by

“Colonnade was a steal at the price. Newly refurbished, very luxer with nice amenities, it's perfect for a couple looking to get away. The housekeeping staff was fairly loud in the hallways in the morning, though, and the soundproofing could have been much better. My attempts to sleep in were thwarted.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Sarah W. from Bronx, NY
“Nicely renovated!” Jun 9, 2008 by
Kristen from Manchester, CT
“NA.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Sally from Westport, MA
“The Colonnade has come a long way. It is beautifully renovated. Clean, modern, comfortable. It is a 4 star plus.” Jun 4, 2008 by
Paul from Canton, CT
“Nicely renovated hotel in a very convenient location. Still showed some of its old bones (lack of true air conditioning, thin walls that let me hear everything next door), but happy.” May 30, 2008 by
Chris from Tampa, FL
“Great location and room but lacks attention do guests needs. We had to change rooms due to poor air conditioning and they made no apologies about the inconvenience. The issue was still present in the new room and we spoke to other guests and they were actually changing hotels due to the poor air conditioning. It was finally fixed over 1/2 way through our stay. We spoke to the hotel managers several times about fixing the issue and they couldn't deliver.” May 28, 2008 by
Nick from Narragansett, RI
“Outstanding in every respect. Roof top pool and bar deserve special consideration!” May 27, 2008 by
Samuel from Pittsburgh, PA
“Overall hotel itself was quite good, very clean and luxury. Also its location is awesome, just outside train station is located (Prudential Station). But the staff including manager was not friendly and helpful to its guest.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 17, 2008 by
Samantha from Boston, MA
“Loved it! Restaurant was nice, gym was nice my view was wonderful and the surrounding shops and restaurant also made the hotel in a perfect location to visit Boston. I was a week early on the pool.” May 7, 2008 by
Jennifer P. from Chelmsford, MA
“I wouldn't stay there again, but overall it wasn't bad.” May 2, 2008 by
Jessica from Edinburg, TX
“I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Boston who needed to stay the Hynes Convention Center. The train stop was right in front of the hotel and it was a $1.70 to get to the airport from the hotel via train and same getting there. Thanks for making my first time using you all a great experience.” Apr 29, 2008 by
Jeff from Belle Mead, NJ
“It is in a great location right across from the prudential building. The concierge was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were nice with little extras like a single cup coffee maker and a big flat screen TV.” Apr 27, 2008 by
James from Bellaire, TX
“Nice rooms.” Apr 25, 2008 by
Zoot from Exton, PA
“Not bad, but not four star either. The room was clean and neat but the next morning my in room coffee maker had not been cleaned and my shampoo and soap not refilled. When I asked about a cafe for breakfast the staff and manager didn't know of anyplace in historic Boston expect for Starbucks. The concierge however, was helpful and knowledgeable, just overworked. Room not ready at 2:30, said they would call me. They did, at 5:30.” Apr 13, 2008 by
Mahin from New York, NY
“Rooms were clearly newly renovated and looked nice. Comfortable beds as well. Not much else is good however: Construction and renovations continue with no notification when you are making a reservation. Service is awful. Front desk manager is very junior and not experienced. Climate control does not work properly. Our room was pinned at 75 degrees during the night. Not good sleeping temp. They moved us after we complained about temp and noise to a room that was even more noisy! Hotel tried to make amends by buying us dinner at Brasserie Jo, nice gesture but not nearly enough especially since the restaurant is just ok. I left very disappointed and will never return.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 24, 2008 by

“A great European feel right in Copley Square. Joe's is an excellent restaurant with a French feel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 2, 2006 by

“Great hotel in a terrific location. Walking distance to Fen way Park. Across from the largest mall in Boston. Great Gym. Awesome staff who were so nice. Felt like a bed and breakfast. This is our new favorite hotel in Boston. Loved the rooms. Small TVs but big room with nice robes and great views. Highly recommend.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 4, 2005 by

“The rooms were small and dark, the bathroom was not updated, the bed linens were old and scratchy, and the hotel staff had no respect for their guests. Jun 4, 2005 by
Wendi from Maine
“This hotel is in an ideal location, but it not as nice as many of the hotels in the area. I would rate this hotel 2 1/2 stars. If I had paid full price I would have been very disappointed.” Oct 4, 2004 by
Lawrence L. from New York, NY “Nice and clean, out of the downtown area.” Sep 20, 2004 by
Christiane B. from Tucker, GA “The Colonnade's location is excellent. T rail is directly in front of the entrance. Walk to Fen way. Lots of places to eat (and shop) at Prudential Center across the street. Limitation: not even a coffee shop or machines or coffee in room on site- food/drink restricted to an expensive rather formal restaurant and a hotel mini-bar.” Sep 20, 2004 by
John M. from Sharpsburg, GA “The room was the problem. It was a 2-star room in a supposedly 4-star hotel. Plumbing was problematic, could not find an outlet for the iron (had to fish a power strip from under the bed), the carpet and bed were not nice, and there was no coffee maker which I appreciate in the morning. I would have had one at a Hampton Inn or something like that at a much lower class of hotel.” Sep 20, 2004 by
Patricia C. from Holden, ME “I liked the Colonnade in Boston for the convenient location to the Prudential Center and other area shopping. I also liked going outside and to the Boston T subway within a minute walking distance. The hotel staff was courteous, friendly and the concierge was especially helpful with directions and maps. The only problem I had was there were no bath towels for showers. I had to call the desk twice, once at night and then again in the morning to request towels which were promptly brought to my room. Other than that everything went well and I would stay again at the Colonnade.” Sep 19, 2004 by
Kathleen K. from Bethel, CT “We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was close to many great restaurants, shopping and historic sights. Boston is fun!” Sep 18, 2004 by
Bob Z. from Cupertino, CA “Service and amenities were good, but a little below what I expected. The alarm clock didn't work and was replaced after I called maintenance. A light bulb was burned out and was replaced after I called maintenance. The maid service didn't clean the room one day until I called, and I didn't receive a newspaper on 2 out of 3 mornings.” Sep 18, 2004 by
Margaret O. from North Woodstock, NH “We loved the location of the Colonnade. We were able to walk everywhere from Fen way Park to shopping at the Prudential center and Newbury Street. The hotel was very clean and well kept with a polite, efficient staff. The hotel did not offer valet parking. However; the parking garage was adjoining and very easy to get to. The morning we were departing they began drilling in the room next door, extremely early in the morning, waking us up. When we asked them to stop they did for a few minutes and then resumed drilling shortly after. When we complained at the desk, they did not seem to know anything about it. Overall, I thought the hotel was just o.k.” Sep 14, 2004 by
Patricia G. from Adams, MA “We stayed at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston and it met all our expectations that we needed. We were there for the Jimmy Buffet concert at Fenway, and with the help from the staff at the hotel, the provided both written and verbal directions along with their own recommendation as to how we could get back and fourth. I highly recommend this hotel. It was also very easy to get to from the Mass. Pike.” Sep 13, 2004 by
Karen M. from Coral Springs, FL “The hotel had construction work going on all day starting early in the morning. When you called to make a complaint they were pretty nasty. I would never stay there again or would I recommend the hotel. POOR customer service.”
