• Only wished there had been bacon for breakfast! Would have liked a king bed.

• We had a very noisy evening with no one from staff to quiet the guests.

“We had a great stay for our college touring. Most all the front desk staff was extremely helpful. Unfortunately one evening was awful-guests in the hall between 2-4am and no one on staff would come up to quiet them. They did however refund our money for that evenings' stay.”

• Nothing - the hotel was perfect.

“Located steps from the MIT campus, this hotel, while the "lower" end of the Marriot chain, is magnificent in every respect. The rooms are spacious suites, beautifully appointed, with superbly comfortable beds and even down pillows. The bathroom and kitchen were new, spotless and well appointed, with even a "welcome" package. The all-included breakfast was a delicious spread, with everything from cereals (hot & cold), mass quantities of fresh fruits, breads (bagels, muffins and do-it-yourself waffles) to eggs, sausage and home fries. I recently stayed at the 5-star Intercontinental Hotel in Boston, where you could not even get a cup of hot tea unless you paid $4 in the dining room or called room service. Frankly, I'd stay at this Residence Inn over and over - it was as comfortable as the Intercontinental, with greater amenities.”

• Location and cleanliness was excellent. Morning breakfast was outstanding!
• Lobby was sort of utilitarian.

“Excellent location in Cambridge---about 2 blocks from T Station on the MIT campus with Harvard being 2 stations away. Great complimentary breakfast and afternoon receptions, and very clean suite rooms. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Boston area.”

• Family-friendly hotel with helpful staff, clean and big rooms in a great location.
• Not well-marked on the street. We passed it a few times.

“This was an outstanding hotel that served our purposes perfectly. We are a family with two young children and we entertained old friends in the big rooms and had pizza delivered. Guests commented on how lovely the hotel was and we'd definitely stay here again. Hot buffet breakfast was also terrific and kids loved it.”

• Huge space and kitchen, free wireless.
• Noise from the renovate plan.

“The staffs are friendly. The room is huge with nice equipped kitchen, stove, microwave, fridge etc, really a family friendly place. One more thing I like about this hotel is that their bed is way much better and comfortable, compared to my previous experience in Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Also, free wireless and breakfast are hard to beat. Parking for one day is about $20-$25 depends on the public parking or hotel's. But during weekend, not too hard to find a street parking. Overall, this hotel is beyond our expectation.”

• The rooms were large and bright. Comfortable bed. Nice water pressure in the showers. Even the kitchen was very clean.
• Nothing to dislike, really.

“It provides an average, unobtrusive stay. There were no difficulties in finding it on the first time, or getting back to it after a day out. It is in a safe area, right next to a red line T stop. Breakfast is provided, so guests begin their days well fed. Nothing really stuck out, amazing or terrible. It provided the basic comforts, cleanliness, and safety needed to focus on the attractions of Boston.”

• I loved the kitchen inside the unit - I was not expecting it and it was a welcome surprise.
• I was highly unhappy that a $20 a day parking cost that was not disclosed in the information on the hotel website.

• Housekeeping was good, but not necessarily thorough.

“This hotel was within a few minutes walking distance from the Red Line so we could get there without renting a car. The rooms had a kitchenette and were perfect for families or those traveling solo. The hot breakfast was superb! I highly recommend this hotel!”

“This is appropriate for long-term stays as well as overnights. Our suite was very nice, comfortable. Recently built/renovated. New couch/daybed, bed, etc. The kitchen is included, along with silverware, fridge, dishes, etc. You could live there!”

“The rooms were clean and well kept. It was a little difficult to access with a car. The room had a kitchen which was nice and refrigerator. The buffet in the morning was excellent, included morning papers (Sunday times and globe) and free wireless internet. Excellent stay. There was some renovation in the public rooms.”

• Parking was expensive, but that is to be expected.

“I had a very good experience at this hotel; the room was lovely, and huge for the price. The staff was all very friendly. Although I did not take advantage of this, the hotel offered a free hot buffet breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• We had use of a studio apartment, very nice surprise.
• The hot breakfast buffet was not hot, or tasty. The food was dry and cold.

“I liked the hotel room very much, a lot of space, and a kitchen to use. The breakfast was pretty bad, after trying some of the "hot" food I opted for the prepackaged foods like yogurt and cereal and milk. The staff was also friendly. Another disappointment had to pay $20 for parking. I know it was Cambridge area, but $20 was too much for the night.”

• Cleanliness and friendliness of room service and concierge.
• Continental breakfast was terrible, the staff fought openly in front of us and closed the food service down in front of us; poor presentation of food.

“This hotel was under construction during my stay and the hot tub was broken. The hot breakfast was poorly stocked and we were made to feel that we were in the way when I asked for bowls, spoons, cups and food refills. My room was spotless and comfortable and was specially make up for me so I could be near my sons staying in another room. The front desk staff were gracious and friendly as were the room staff. I would stay here again, just ask that the breakfast staff be more patient and if you could use real dishes, that would help. Also, soy milk would be a great addition for vegetarians.”

• Newly renovated suite room was much nicer than expected for the price.
• Due to construction, the breakfast buffet was split between rooms.

“Excellent value for the Boston area. Three blocks from the MBTA, this suite hotel was newly remodeled and very comfortable. Skip the free buffet though and walk down to the Marriott.”

• Hard to find because the sign was too small, no lotion supplied, toenail on the carpet.

“Overall, my stay at this hotel was great - spacious room, friendly staff (including the general mgr), and the included breakfast, even with eggs & French toast, plus we barely heard any construction noise. However, there were a couple of issues - the small sign on the side of the building is easy to miss, so it looks like any other office building in the area, there was not enough shampoo provided and no lotion available (necessary when you travel with liquids is limited), and I found an old toenail on the carpet.”

• Very spacious room, large sitting area, very comfortable.
• Bathroom was very small, and no real room for privacy other than tiny bathroom.

“The room exceeded my expectations in its size. It had a kitchenette, complete with all of the tools one would need for preparing and serving a meal, except for food, of course. The location was nice because it was very near the "t" (Boston subway), which made it easy to travel around Boston Cambridge. The staff, also, was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast buffet was tasty and adequate. Something for everyone: eggs, toast, oatmeal, waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, and more.”

• The breakfast was excellent as was the set up of the room.
• Sometimes had to wait for front desk people to notice us since they were in the back, but very helpful when they got there.

“The sectional couch and full kitchen in the room were very nice. The TV could have been bigger since it was between the bedroom area and the couch it was sometimes difficult to see. The large breakfast in the morning was great and plenty of food and seating was available. The staff was very friendly and helpful although sometimes it took a few minutes for the front desk people to notice we were there and come out from the back to help us. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely stay there again.”

• The location to restaurants and the subway. It was in a nice area.
• It didn't have a restaurant in the hotel. They only served breakfast.

• The room was fabulous and the breakfasts were great.
• No prior warning that parking was an extra $20 per night.

“Wonderful room. Comfortable bed. Great hot tub when it worked. Parking was available, but too pricey and we were already locked into the room so had no alternative. Also, the desk clerk when we checked in was neither friendly nor helpful. Loved being so close to the T and near MIT and Harvard. Great place to visit Boston from.”

• Excellent location close to MIT and the T. Excellent Internet Access and breakfast.
• No express checkout available through the TV menu options.

“Very nice hotel and the room was nicer than Hyatt Regency room I had at the same rate. Internet, light dinner and breakfast are all included in the Marriott rate and all of these things cost extra at the Hyatt. Less than a block away from the Kendall T station and only steps away from the MIT campus. The room was fully equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, etc. This hotel definitely deserves to be 3.5 stars. ”
