“Basically this hotel was exactly as described: great location to Fenway Park but nothing fancy! The room was ugly and we had a view of the rooftop air conditioners. The TV did not work and the front desk didn't really seem to care. It was very quiet though which was surprising for it's city location. We will stay here again because it is a 5 minute walk to Fenway and the parking was only $18 - a good deal in Boston!” Jul 28, 2009 by

“This is a nice hotel for people looking for a place to stay if going to Fenway Park. I would highly recommend it.” Jun 12, 2009 by
Reid from Palmyra,PA
“Hotel was okay. I was not told of $26 per night parking fees or Boston city tax of 12.5% by hotel. This added an additional $80 to my bill, and I am extremely aggravated by the oversight.” May 21, 2009 by

“Conveniently located, reasonably priced, pleasant personnel throughout.” Sep 14, 2008 by

“Hotel was right in Kenmore Square. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. We would gladly suggest the Buckminster to anyone looking for a good value in Boston.” Aug 30, 2008 by

“The lobby and the rooms of the hotel were very clean, the family stayed only for over night purposes. We would recommend anyone to stay there. It's just a hop to the fen way park area.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 5, 2007 by

“I loved my stay at the Buckminster! I only stayed one night and wished that I could have stayed a week. I had made plans to go to a sox game and I was really worried about booking this hotel because of reviews that I had read on this site and other travel sites. I have nothing to complain about. We stayed on the 6th floor and had a great view of fen way. The hotel is old but not dirty. The room we stayed in was large and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Also, the wooden shutters blocked out the noise from the street. The next time I stay in Boston, it will be at the Buckminster.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 9, 2007 by

“Dirtiest place I ever saw - overpriced - good location.” Feb 22, 2006 by

“They were welcoming and friendly. The hotel; however, was undergoing renovation. Will be better when finished. No restaurant.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 10, 2005 by

“Unassuming, clean, friendly, ordinary rooms in a very central location. In the heart of BU campus, with ATMs, cafes, bookstores, train and bus stops, parking garages (several) across the street. One can walk to Pru, Fenway, Newbury, and Brookline. Front desk was accomodating to requests for extra pillows, ethernet cables. Cleaning staff was diligent and there are laundry rooms on each floor. High-speed internet in every room - a boon, since there are virtually no internet cafes in Boston and wi-fi spots (StarBucks) are a joke. There are 2 parking spots in front of hotel doors, on Beacon Street, that do not require $$ (reserved valet spots, but the hotel does not have valet and the spots are available on a 1st-come basis) and plenty of metered spots along Beacon as well as Brookline. Maluken is a great little restaurant, just off the lobby that serves early breakfast and good sushi. My room had a view of I-90, my old apartment on St. Mary's street and the Photonics building and a slice of Fenway park lights.” 5 of 6 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
