  • All conveniences from valet parking to wakeup calls and room service etc. were readily available.
  • Paper and plastic cups & drinking glasses.

“This hotel is situated on the river across from Cambridge. It is 10 min. from Logan Airport. Interesting panoramic views from your window. Has the most popular Jazz club in Boston if not Mass. Very comfortable suites including sitting area with flat screen TV and separate bedroom with TV also. Very comfortable bathroom with infinite hot & cold water with ample pressure even on the top floor. Would recommend to anybody. This will be my address whenever we stay in Boston.”

  • The swimming pool and hot tub were too cold.

“Very friendly staff. If you like Boston accents, this is your place -- everyone's from Rah-vee-uh (Revere). The rooms are large and comfortable. The pipes made a horrible squeaking sound but they were very quick to fix it. Only negative was the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was lukewarm, and the pool was freezing.”

  • Low pressure in the shower but other than that, good to go.

“Easy to get to from the highway, had its own parking garage, was welcomed with warm cookies when we checked in and 2 separate rooms for hour hotel room, one for sleeping and one for lounging. Also had a refrigerator which was nice.”

  • Walking distance to Harvard Square and the Red Line of the T.
  • The immediate surroundings, turnpike etc., make it unappealing right around the hotel.

“Hotel staff are wonderful! The rooms are large and well appointed. The suite only nature of the hotel makes the stay particularly comfortable. It is about a 20 minute walk to the T line at Central or Harvard Square. The walk in pleasant, but it does take some time. The hotel operates a regularly scheduled shuttle.”

  • Star rating and the comfy bedding.
  • Single beds.

“A bit outside of Downtown Boston, but perfect if you have a car. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but it is clean and well appointed. It was a little odd to have a living room / sitting area with a television in addition to a bedroom with two single beds. I'd much rather have a regular room with a double bed, but I guess the architect has spoken. In any case, I still slept like a rock and had a spring board for a few great runs along the Charles!”

  • It costs $30 extra to stay at this hotel. They charge for parking and internet access.

“They even offer free access to the internet for non-guests in the lobby, but charge guests $9.95 in their rooms to access the same signal.”

  • Nice decor, big spacious suite, friendly staff.
  • 20 minute walk from Subway.

“Very nice hotel. Lobby looks brand new, room was much larger than I expected. Staff was very friendly and was able to help us get everything we needed. They give you warm chocolate chip cookies when you check-in. Very comfortable place to stay. Only inconvenience is it is a 20 minute walk to the subway station. I would definitely stay here again.”

  • My room was next to the elevator and I heard the bell sound every few minutes all night long.

  • Noisy, lots of children running around, staff was not exceptionally friendly.

“I was extremely satisfied. The location was great and close to the city. The subway stop is not so close, but there is a shuttle provided by the hotel. However the shuttle runs at designated times and cannot be reserved until the day the shuttle is needed. There were lots of children staying here, so this is definitely a child friendly hotel but the noise level could be a bit too much for the business/solo traveler.”

“Excellent for the business traveler, particularly with a need for in-room meetings. There was a conference table for 8 in the room. A bit isolated; I had about a 10-min. wait getting a cab during morning rush hour. I would prefer a conventional blanket and sheets, but most hotel chains have switched, probably because it's faster to make up the room.”

  • The gym was excellent; beds were comfy, layout superb.
  • The couch in the Living Room was soiled.

“This hotel was very convenient, the beds were extremely comfortable and the room layout was great having 2 rooms with TV's. The gym was great. We didn't have time to check-out the sauna and pool. The front desk staff did have a bit of an attitude when we asked to have a different bed layout. My brother's room had only twin beds, which he didn't like, but the comfortable mattresses and bedding made up for the "slight". The room coffee packets were "weak", but there was coffee in the lobby with all the fixings. Overall, our hotel stay was excellent.”

“The room was okay. The hotel was far from public transportation (extra taxi costs), and the restaurant food was pretty bad. Took nearly 45 minutes to get a "crispy" buffalo chicken wrap that had the consistency of mashed potatoes (no joke).”

“From the moment I got to the hotel and got my "free warm cookie" I knew that I wouldn't have any problems with the hotel. What I saw next was nothing short of breath taking. The pool was nice, though just a bit too short for me to do laps in, and a bit cold. It was probably meant to be more for families than people looking for a good morning work out. In addition to this, the staff did everything within their power to help me out the next morning when my battery in my car died. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives.”

  • Service was the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. Breakfast was poor quality.

“If you want a base line room, with a refrigerator without a microwave then this may be your choice. Sofa bed was the most uncomfortable pull out ever slept on. Hospitals offer better quality blankets. Breakfast buffet was never attended to: no bowls ran out of food, food spilled into the counter.”

  • We held an event at the hotel on the first night. Even though I never met the hotel planner in person, every detail was taken care of.
  • The elevators to the parking garage were out of service.

“The view of the Charles River was an extra treat. The staff was very attentive. They called to make sure our needs were taken care of on more than one occasion. The suite was comfortable and quiet. Room service response time was only a few minutes. The staff was very polite at all times of the day. We visit Boston twice a year, but this was our first time at the Doubletree Suites. We look forward to returning.”
