- I liked the location and the service.
- It would have been nice if they had a shuttle to and from the airport.
“The hotel was in a wonderful location across from the Charles River and about a mile from the T-station. The people working there were friendly and very helpful. We felt very comfortable and relaxed. There was so much to do in the city we were unable to take advantage of the hotel's indoor pool. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.”

- The staff was friendly at all times, even when just passing by in the elevator, and called me by name when on the phone or approaching the desk.
- The dinner food was not as high quality as I would have expected.

- The young man at the customer service desk was friendly and helpful.
- The location is horrible, you can't walk anywhere, the shuttles are sporadic, taxis expensive.
“If it weren't for the location, we would have enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree. The accommodations were fine. However, the inconvenience of the location colored our entire trip and made everything more difficult and expensive. There is absolutely nothing within easy walking distance, including restaurants or convenience stores.”

- The staff was extremely helpful.
- That I had to pay 25 a night for parking.
“The Doubletree Guest Suites is a comfortable and reasonably priced (for the area) option. My experience there was quite positive. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, the room was similar to more expensive places in the area - very clean, quiet and pleasantly designed. The drawbacks for me were that it was not located near public transportation and I personally don't like driving in that area because parking is so impossible to find. The only other thing was that there was no place to buy a bottle of water for less than $3.00 - I had to go to the restaurant to purchase this. Generally speaking my experience there was very positive and I would definitely stay there again.”

- They put me into an awesome king suite.
- The room was disgusting smoking and windows didn't open.
“You are entirely likely to be put into a disgusting smoking room. In this case, the windows didn't open, so there was no relief! So although the suite was awesome, with a view, and way exceeded my expectations in terms of space. Banned smoking already. Also, the walk to the T was a bit far, but quite pleasant once past that big interchange off the mass turnpike.”

“I had made a request before check-in that I was assured would be honored. When I arrived, the request had not been honored. To rectify the situation, the Asst. Front End Mgr. was going to ruin another family's vacation to rectify the error they made. Not good business - unscrupulous - I checked out and went to another hotel that matched and surpassed this hotel comfort and amenities.”

- The bed/room was terrific with awesome view of Boston.
- Front desk staff didn't seem eager to help or knowledgeable.
“Overall, this was a great stay. I had a corner room on the 10th floor that provided great views of the Charles River. The bed was overly comfortable, and the room was renovated. My interactions with the front desk staff (twice) were less than desirable however. I had a smoking room, however I have a mild allergic reaction to smoke. She told me tough luck and my only option was to get a machine to ionize the room (I declined). There is a door to get access to my actual room door (corner room). It took ten minutes for her to figure out how to give me a key to open this when I probably should've been given that key in the first place.”

- A bit off for users of public transport. Hotel shuttle bus makes up for some of the inconvenience.

- Huge suites; pet friendly (with doggie biscuits); great view; top notch service and helpful staff.
- Parking was a bit expensive - like the rest of Boston, though.
“The lobby was nicely appointed and clean. Our room was lovely - a big suite with a king bed and a terrific view over Memorial Drive and the river. We were able to watch fireworks from the hotel! We like to travel with our dog - he's a medium sized sled dog mix and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a little bag of gourmet doggie biscuits at check-in. Service was fantastic. We also used their complimentary shuttle on time and quick transport. Overall a great experience.”

- No WiFi access in the guest rooms and no television remote.
“I was astounded at the quality of the hotel. It was excellently located and our room was great. The service was above and beyond. They were apologizing and offering compensation for things we hadn't even realized were problems. I do have some small suggestions for improvement though. The rooms did not have WiFi access or remotes for the television. Also, the pool seemed rather small for such a large facility. Lastly, there are no restaurants in a close proximity for anyone with out a car. So if you didn't rent car, be prepared to either walk a mile or rent a taxi for meals if you want something other than the hotel restaurant. Overall, my wife and loved the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

Pool and spa heater was broken the whole Memorial day weekend. Ordering food from the kitchen downstairs results in a $3.00 hotel delivery charge. Parking at the hotel is $25.00 a night for guests.”

- Hotel charges for overnight parking, yet is not in a downtown location.
“Overall, was a good room. We asked for non smoking room but allotted smoking. The hotel was booked and they couldn't accommodate a change. While there was some odor of smoking apparent, thankfully it wasn't like staying a few nights in an ashtray.”

- Paper and plastic cups & drinking glasses.
“This hotel is situated on the river across from Cambridge. It is 10 min. from Logan Airport. Interesting panoramic views from your window. Has the most popular Jazz club in Boston if not Mass. Very comfortable suites including sitting area with flat screen TV and separate bedroom with TV also. Very comfortable bathroom with infinite hot & cold water with ample pressure even on the top floor. Would recommend to anybody. This will be my address whenever we stay in Boston.”

- The rooms were big and comfortable.
- The swimming pool and hot tub were too cold.
“Very friendly staff. If you like Boston accents, this is your place -- everyone's from Rah-vee-uh (Revere). The rooms are large and comfortable. The pipes made a horrible squeaking sound but they were very quick to fix it. Only negative was the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was lukewarm, and the pool was freezing.”

- They gave us hot cookies when we checked in.
- Low pressure in the shower but other than that, good to go.
“Easy to get to from the highway, had its own parking garage, was welcomed with warm cookies when we checked in and 2 separate rooms for hour hotel room, one for sleeping and one for lounging. Also had a refrigerator which was nice.”

- Walking distance to Harvard Square and the Red Line of the T.
- The immediate surroundings, turnpike etc., make it unappealing right around the hotel.
“Hotel staff are wonderful! The rooms are large and well appointed. The suite only nature of the hotel makes the stay particularly comfortable. It is about a 20 minute walk to the T line at Central or Harvard Square. The walk in pleasant, but it does take some time. The hotel operates a regularly scheduled shuttle.”

- It was very clean and luxurious.
- I am afraid of heights and they had glass elevators.
“The room was spacious and clean. Hotel staff gave me a cookie when I checked in. I was on the top floor and had a great view of Cambridge.”
