- Highway access.
- No mini bar/location in general/mold in bathroom/sundries store closed 6 pm-7.
“I was disappointed in the overall stay. Bathroom had rust and mold. No mini bar. Had to pay to park in hotel lot. Sundry store in lobby closed from 6-7 pm had to try and find a store in the area. There is nothing around here, and I mean nothing in the way of restaurants and stores. Very industrial and corporate.”

- The hotel is dirty and the health club is disgusting.
“I was displeased with the quality of the hotel. The vent in my room was so dirty and the health club for 3 days in a row did not have anything to wipe down the machines and was out of drinking water. I complained each day and still nothing was done. The rooms need an overhaul.”

- The staff was awesome! Absolute 10. Very accommodating, friendly and went overboard to make you feel welcome!
- The pool area was a bit shabby and needed a redo. Hot tub wasn't working, etc.
“Overall, absolutely great hotel. Really great restaurant, extremely nice common spaces. Our room was a long walk from the elevator, which was odd, but the room was extremely nice and the bed truly was "Heavenly". The pool isn't quite what the photos suggest. The hot tub's 'bubbler' was broken, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is a bit out of Boston. With good traffic, 15-20 minutes. When we arrived, it took us 50 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport, but it was 6:00 pm and so was rush hour traffic. However, a comparable hotel in downtown Boston was at least twice the cost, and so I was very pleased with our selection. Waltham is actually a quite nice little town with a few restaurants, gas, pharmacies, etc. Again, overall, great hotel. I am simply trying to be very descriptive of our experience. (And the restaurant's chowder is excellent!).”

- Checking out; will not stay at a Westin ever again.
- Placed in handicapped, room by elevator (noisy), dirty sheets, lone kids roaming halls & pool, loud wedding party late night.

“The bathtub did not drain even after we reported the problem. Also, one of the electric outlets did not work so we had problems connecting a working light and the clock at the same time. This was also reported and they fixed this.”

- Friendly helpful staff. Loved the heavenly bed. Hotel room was lovely.
- There was nothing within reasonable price on the room service menu. Nothing for kids either.
“I loved the hotel. Everything was well-maintained, and the room was beautiful. The bed was the best that I've ever slept in. The workout room was great, and had a nice selection of workout machines. My only complaint would be about the pool area. I didn't have a chance to go in, because it was over run by young children, and no lifeguard was present. Even the whirlpool was full of kids jumping in and out, and this was later at night, 9pm.”

- The common areas were magnificently maintained and beautiful.
- The room was carelessly put together, the bed not made well, the bathroom was lacking toiletries. Neglect.
“I have stayed at this hotel before. And I have noticed it is not taken care of as it once was. I remember being floored at how meticulous the cleaning staff was and how luxurious the rooms felt. This time, I was not impressed and immediately forgot about my stay the minute I left. It was ok. It's losing its luster.”

- TV remote didn't work, replacement remote didn't work.
“Appears to be a conference center, so the parking was very crowded and the hotel bar was very crowded and noisy. I needed to extend my stay and the desk told me they were overbooked and I'd have to leave, but when I called reservations I got a room.”

- A glass was broken and we called up for maid service and the maid was heard complaining we didn't tip her as she was leaving the room.

- The smell of the candles and their line of fragrance.
- We lost our luggage & did not know it was sitting behind the desk for 4 days.
“These are always my favorite places to stay. I need my brother in law's help on a project for my business so I ended up bringing his whole family along for spring break. Our luggage was lost on our arrival to Logan airport from Chicago. Usually my family would be in Daytona beach this time of year but they ended up getting stuck in cold Boston so losing the luggage was the start of a train wreck. We couldn't get a hold of the airport after calling for 4 days and on Thursday (we checked in on Sunday) we finally got a hold of someone at the airport that told us our luggage was delivered to the west in on Monday morning at 4 am. My nephew had no clothes for the week and my sister had to go out and buy him everything new. They were kind enough to reimburse my sister for what she had to buy for the week and are now in the process of trying to figure out what happened. The pool was not working when we arrived and I don't believe this is a good place for children to stay because there is nothing for them to do. It is great for business travelers and I will stay again.”

- You can be close to Boston (15 minutes away) at affordable price.
- Hotel room was not a 4-star. It was more like 3-star room.

- Hotel was quiet, very clean, nice rooms.
- Restaurant breakfast much too expensive, difficult to get a cup of tea or coffee without dining in the hotel, need options for hotel guests.
“Front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Not a 4 star hotel, amenities a bit lacking, couldn't get a cup of coffee or tea without leaving hotel to go to dunking donuts-hotel restaurant much too expensive for quick breakfast, room service very high priced-priced for business travelers with expense accts. Location not the greatest, you need a car-absolutely. Rooms quite nice, very clean and that¿s a huge plus.”

- I needed something from my car after it was valet parked, and they wouldn't tell me where the car was
“The hotel was easy to see, but it was difficult to get to the entrance. There were no lighted signs to show the way at night. The staff was cordial and professional, but they wouldn't tell me where my car was valet parked when I needed something out of it. The room was well appointed, pretty standard fare, but the dual showerheads, and thick bathrobe were a bonus. The bar was expensive,$8.30 for a top shelf gin and tonic, but it was strong and ample. Room service breakfast was on time, hot and good. Overall a nice hotel.”

- Informative, very professional staff. Clean and very nice common areas. Outstanding brunch. Comfortable rooms. Very very pleasant accommodations.
- Location could be a little further than might like if need is to be in downtown Boston, but train is 10 minutes away.

- The light and open feel of the entry and dining room.
- Strong smell of smoking in the hallway to the room.
“I felt that this hotel was a bit worn for a 4 star hotel. The surface on parts of the limestone (?) sink in the bathroom had ink stains and was worn, for example. Also holder for the room keys have a notice that you are automatically accepting paying for a USA today newspaper and if you don't want it you have to return it to the desk for a $.75 refund. That and the $9 per night parking charge - in a suburban area where there were few cars in the garage, seemed to me to be uncharacteristic of a 4 * hotel. On the other hand it is definitely more comfortable than the Sheraton that is over Rt. 90 in Newton and that is a 3 *.We had a room with 2 double beds, we are used to a queen size bed and were surprised but found we were uncomfortable in this smaller bed. The mattress was also too soft for me. We ordered the usual bacon and eggs with toast a la carte breakfast, and service was slow - few waiters. they clearly expect people to choose the buffet which we thought was too much food and too expensive. ”

- The wait staff in the restaurant was very attentive, and the bartender at the lobby bar was very nice and friendly. We have been here before.
- Not this time but one other, my son was with us and he stayed on the sofa bed and it was horrible.
“I think this is the best hotel in Waltham, although I have not stayed in all of them (only 2 others). It is convenient, clean, friendly.”

- It was clean, comfortable, easy to get to, good location for access to Boston.
- The is highway construction around the hotel, so getting to restaurants etc. can be tricky.
“My husband and I were taking our daughter to Boston University and I could not find a hotel that was available in Boston that would fit our budget and was a 3+ star hotel. This location was just 10- 15 minutes outside of Boston and very accessible for Route 90. We will definitely stay there again when we visit, the price and hotel quality cannot be beat.”

- Room was very quiet.
- Bathroom vanity was too small. No cooler or microwave. Hotel wanted $50 for late check out.
“Overall this was a great hotel at an outstanding price---when I tried to add a day at the front end (early arrival) they wanted $70 a night more than we paid. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The location was very good for west Boston. We'll go back if we're in that area again.”

- The price was reasonable.
- The room is not 4 star quality (wall damage, older stained furnishings and fixtures).
“A decent hotel if it can be had for a decent price, but don't expect 4 star quality once you leave the lobby. The room we had was on the second floor and had older stained furnishings and bathroom fixtures. Repairs or renovations to the room were sloppily done (you could see cracks and seam lines in the walls, the air conditioning unit was exposed, etc).”

- Beds were so comfortable.
- Not really convenient to Boston/not really kid friendly.
“The hotel was beautiful. pool nice. Gym excellent, public transportation would take forever to get into Boston and wait till after rush hour and driving in a breeze. Parking in Boston not bad $30.00 a day. There were quite a few kids at the hotel but I found it to more suited for travelers and couples. The restaurant looked great but not for kids.”

- The Heavenly Bed is amazing.
- The hotel was great.
“The Westin in Waltham was amazing. I called ahead to confirm a very late arrival (3 am, due to a long drive), and the front deck staff was very pleasant when we arrived at 3:20 am. I only wish we had more time to spend in that luxurious, well-decorated room. We sank into the Heavenly Bed, and very much enjoyed the dual shower- head and curved shower rod that gave lots of elbow room. All in all, another great stay at a Westin.”

- Being able to check out via the television.
- Long walk to parking garage and elevator cleanliness.
“This hotel is nice. The problem is that the elevators (which were not very clean) were on the opposite side from the parking garage. This meant that the walks from car to room are very long.”
