• The location is great and there was free parking.

• The bedding.
• Did not have free internet.

“Hotel did not have a restaurant. The breakfast service was extremely slow. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table, then finally after sitting for 15 minutes had to walk around and look for someone to take my order. If I can get free internet at 2 star hotels.”

• Location! and comfy beds.
• The AC kept turning off during the night they have a sensor on it so if you don't move it turns off.

“I was very please with the deal I got on this hotel. Though I wish WiFi and parking were free it seems that other hotels like a Holiday Inn express these are free but not at this hotel. Which they should be since potentially you are paying more to stay there these amenities should be included.”

“Hotel is located in downtown of Newport and is very close to the Wharf and a lot of restaurants and tourists sites. Also, it was an information center next door to the hotel. The swimming pool in the hotel was small and there were a lot of small kids who occupied the whole place. The breakfast in the hotel was very expensive and we ate at the Newport Creamary which is located within 5 minutes drive from the hotel.The restaurant in the hotel was expensive but the food was excellent.The parking garage was expensive also.”

“I would highly recommend this hotel. We chose this place to celebrate our 30th. This was more than we expected. The location was perfect, the lobby and rooms were impressive, an excellent value, close to restaurants, wharf and shopping.”

• Location is great. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
• Daily parking fee, and the restaurant was expensive.

“Hotel lobby is upscale, and very clean. Actual hotel room was rather small. Beds were very comfortable and the linens were also modern and comfortable. Very nice fitness room with state of the art equipment.”

• Comfortable bed and a/c was quiet, able to sleep.
• Wasn't easy to figure where the staircases were if you wish to use them instead of elevator.

• The location was perfect.
• The parking garage was an extra charge and it didn't provide adequate space.

“We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The roomservice was great. The pool was well maintained and the kids really enjoyed the late night swims. The location was downtown easy walking distance to the harbor, shops,and restaurants.”

“This was a luxurious hotel with a lovely view of the harbor. The lobby reception area was beautiful. The room decor was very appealing. The bathroom was more spacious than most.”

• Service, accommodations, value, and location. Food, quality, health club.
• Only some of the rooms face the water.

“We just went there to have fun, and boy did we ever. You can't beat the location of this place, walk to everything and anything you could want to get to. Talk about great staff, they all seem to really love what they do, everyone so helpful and in a good mood. They have a really cool bar with so much to look at, and the restaurant is nice - seafood, reasonable priced but we only went there for breakfast which was really excellent. The rooms have everything you could want in them, super clean and comfortable, even refrigerators and safes. Well worth it. Best ever.”

“We had to leave that night unfortunately due to the perception of bad travel weather the next day which broke my heart the staff was overly accommodating to our needs really wish we could have rescheduled our stay due to our untimely departure.”

• The hotel gave us free parking for our entire stay.
• Our room overlooked the lobby of the hotel, the hotel left lights in the lobby on at night.

“The hotel was pretty good. We stayed on the 7th floor but overlooked lobby which wasn't the best. Because we stayed during the Valentine's Day weekend the hotel gave us free parking in the garage below. The only problem was the hotel was packed so the pool, hot tub and the parking garage was usually full. The hotel was nice, but we've stayed in nicer hotels in Newport.”

• Room location was awful! Our window overlooked hallway &elevator.

“Typical Marriott- nice downtown location. But
beware of hotel room locations - many overlook the hallway. You have absolutely no view and must keep curtains closed. Who in the world designed this layout.”

• The bed was atrociously soft.

“Nice hotel, nice location. The hotel was clean, well kept, and nicely decorated. The view of the harbor was nice as well. My only complaint was the bed which was so soft that I couldn't get a good night's sleep. I was left exhausted and with a backache. A firmer bed would have made this an excellent stay.”

Spa and pool area, the best I've seen even having 3 racquet ball courts with no additional charge for rental of equipment and court. Rooms tastefully decorated in nautical theme with flat screen TV. Best place to stay in Newport.

• The room was not cleaned one night and fridge was not emptied.

“Over all the hotel and staff was good. The room cleaning was not very good. They did not clean our room one day and we had to call to have it cleaned when we returned that evening. Also, cleaning crew left previous occupants drinks in fridge.”
