“The Biltmore may be a old hotel with a history but, for this day and age it is inadequate for todays tourist.” Jun 19, 2005 by
Jill from Mountain Top, PA
“The Biltmore is an older hotel conveniently located in the heart of Providence. The staff is helpful and the rooms clean. The mattress, however had lost its ability to provide support and the pillows were flat as well. Parking costs an additional $20 something a day plus tips for the valet every time you take the car out. Still the beautiful wood varnished lobby and restaurant provide a warmtn as well as a genteel look into what I imagine a gentleman's club might have looked like at the turn of the last century. There is computer access in the lobby for guests to use to check E-Mail or print documents.” Jun 17, 2005 by
Merlin from East Lansing, MI
“Fine, historic hotel. Of course that means that the rooms show a little age. I liked the hotel, but my door was difficult to open.” Jun 13, 2005 by
Michelle from Sandwich, MA
“I was disappointed in this purchase for a couple of reasons. The only reason I even got a hotel room in Providence was so that I wouldn't have to pay for parking while while on a trip leaving TF Green airport. The one hotel I ended up with didn't supply shuttles to the hotel, or free parking. All of the 2 star hotels and the rest of the 3 (including 3-1/2) star hotels supplied all of these amenities, and unfortunately the Providence Biltmore website wasn't clear on that fact. They charged $24 bucks a day for the available valet parking they did have which was almost twice as much as I had to pay if I just parked my car at the airport. The things I liked about the hotel were the McCormick and Shmick's restaurant, the location if I wasn't needing airport arrangements, and the comfy bed and linens.” Jun 13, 2005 by

“Older hotel but stately - close to everything downtown - excellent restauarant” May 18, 2005 by
Christopher from Virginia Beach, VA
“Beautiful hotel, located in historic downtown Providence. Convenient to everything! Courteous, professional staff. Immaculate facilities. ” May 15, 2005 by
Jane from Needham, MA
“I was confused by the hotel and how it markets itself through their website as a first class destination. On one hand, the lobby and ambiance when arriving was great. but as I exited the elevator onto my floor, the hall was drab and empty. almost as if it was an old city apartment building. it appeared like much of the hotel had not been renovated after all. just the lobby and the interior of my room. The staff was courteous and helpful. the room very comfortable .but I felt un-comfortable in the big empty un-renovated hallways that appeared deserted on a Wednesday evening during the business week.” May 9, 2005 by

“Overall Excellant” May 7, 2005 by
Al from Highland Park, IL
“Way above average facility, exceptionally fine staff, an overall delightful experience.” May 5, 2005 by
Jeremy from New York, NY
“The Providence Biltmore is a lovely old hotel in downtown Providence with gorgeous interiors and excellent service. The only drawbacks are that due to its age, noise carries easily between rooms, and there is absolutely no affordable parking. Your only option for parking onsite is Valet parking, which is $22.00 a night for hotel guests. Even with a good priceline deal, that makes it a little expensive for the budget-minded traveler.” May 3, 2005 by
Herb from Houston, TX
“Well located in CBD and close to the Providence Mall shopping center. Access is difficult for the new comer. Room was nicely appointed - hotel built in 1922 so some features were dated. No high-speed computer access that I saw. But, good value for the price I paid.” Apr 25, 2005 by
Paget from Wallingford, CT
“A hotel beyond the modern franchisee of today......a touch of old and still alot of class.......” Apr 24, 2005 by

“room 526 bathroom has paint peeling off the wall.
