• Seemed to be in middle of remolding. No ice, no printer for computer.

“I think this hotel may be ok in the future if remodeling is completed. Many things out of order during our visit.”

• No free internet access; no local sports TV (no Red Sox game).

“Very disappointing for an alleged 3-star hotel. The hallway smelled, the fan in the bathroom didn't work. Worst of all, there was no wireless internet access and a cable modem was available only for a $10 daily charge. If one- and two-star hotels can provide this service, and other Sheraton hotels do, why doesn't this one?”

• The place was either under construction or was being renovated.

“The Sheraton had a temporary office space with only computer/printer combo. The lobby was installing furniture and computers, but none were able to be used. They might have had breakfast for some club members, but none for anyone else. I would not chose to stay there again. Give me Hampton Inn anytime.”

“It's difficult to review as the hotel is under renovation and I suspect it will be different in a few months, right now it's out of date and a little dilapidated, but that's why they are renovating!”

• Hotel was under construction/renovation.

“The public rooms were awful. Restaurant in a conference room reminded me of a school cafeteria. The lounge was in a hallway. No atmosphere. Not even a TV in lunge area to watch sports. The Radisson down the street was a much nicer hotel.”

• This hotel has the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced.
• The room was an odd mixture of Super 8 and Deluxe.

“This hotel room was very plainly decorated for a 4star room. The furniture was ok, but the floor was sopping wet at the entry. The mattress and linens were super comfortable. The in-room coffee maker came with Starbuck's (wonderful). The bathroom had real granite countertops and nice towels, but a hotel bathroom is a hotel bathroom! What can I say? This room was a basement room and had no view to speak of since it was below parking lot level. Having said this I must say that the hotel is currently under renovation so it will be worth checking out in a year or so.”

• Very convenient location to the airport!
• Undergoing renovations; registration was not up to the standard Sheraton has to offer, but it was not a problem to us.

“It was awful. Broken toilet. Noisy. We needed a place to get some quiet after caring for dying parents and this wasn't it!”

• The pillows on one of the beds did not have cases on them. I had to call the front desk.

“I'm sure the hotel is nicer however, they were going through renovations so everything was misplaced. They did the best they could under the circumstances.”

• Despite construction going on the trip was very much enjoyable since we were placed in a bottom-level room on the other side of the construction area.
• Tattered lamp shade, a light bulb was out, top comforter was too lumpy (my wife complained), and my wife likes to use the internet. She brought her laptop.

“Construction is going on, but don't be deterred as we were given a nice room in a section far removed from that section of the hotel. The indoor pool was shut down, so we didn't get a chance to swim in it despite our bringing our bathing suits. The hotel affords a driver to Newport from war wick, so you can make a daytrip and be back in Warwick for supper! My wife and I had stayed at the Sheraton/Providence before and like the hotel.”

“Despite being actively under renovation, I thought the stay was well. It is a 10 minute drive from downtown, clean rooms & very comfortable beds which was nice for a change. 2.5 until construction is done.”

• The hotel is under reconstruction. Mass confusion. Dusty, noisy, etc.

“While undergoing remodeling, the front desk consisted of 2 folding tables with 3 computers and chairs and one staff member, and was located in a converted bedroom, as was the business center. The lounge and restaurant were in the hallway leading to the conference rooms. Although the staff was friendly enough, they were extremely understaffed and we had to wait for assistance. We were never disturbed by air traffic noise, but the construction noise began at 7:00 AM. Carpets were worn and soiled - I wouldn't have considered walking barefoot in my room. Thankfully, our room was non-smoking, but the side entrance (where we had to enter, as the front entrance was blocked for construction), was littered with cigarette butts. I'm sure when the renovations are complete, this will be a very acceptable hotel, but in the meantime, it should not be considered anything more than economy.”

• Fire alarms sounded 2 x's after midnight.

“The hotel was under renovations, the pool was not accessible, the restaurant was in a tiny room and the lounge was in a hallway. The first night we were there, the fire alarm went off at 12:15 am. We left the building and the fire department cleared the hotel so we went back in. That afternoon at 5 pm the fire alarm went off yet again We evacuated the building and it was once again cleared by the fire department. I spoke with registration (which was located in a room because the front desk was under renovation too) and they said they didn't know why the alarms went on but hoped it wouldn't happen again during the night. We should've been told that the hotel was under renovation and that the 3 star hotel was actually 1 star.”

The carpet was poor, the bathrooms were small, the door was difficult to close, there were food trays left in the hallway, the front lobby was under construction, the pool was under repair, the front desk was in a small conference/office space.”

• It was practically soundproof. Great for being right beside the airport!
• It was undergoing construction. The fire alarm went off twice. Parking was cramped. An outlet did not work.

“The room was very comfortable. Stylish, decently clean, very quiet for being beside the airport. Front desk staff was not particularly helpful and parking was tight.”

“Dirty, sad excuse for a hotel. Under construction. They initially placed us on the basement floor which smelled the most of mold (although the entire hotel did) unhelpful and unknowledgeable staff. This is a 3-star? more like 2-star at best.”

• The continental breakfast was pretty good.
• The rooms where horrible. The experience was simply bad.

“The day of my stay, I walked into this hotel and was forced to enter around a small side entrance. The hotel is currently under construction and due to this, the receptionist and staff is setup in these makeshift offices, in actual hotel rooms. That I could honestly deal with. The check in line was a bit long due to this, and I could handle this. What I could not handle was the fact that the moment that I walked into my room, the stench of strong mildew almost threw me backwards. Since the hotel was full, I could not get a different room. The AC barely worked and just when I thought it couldn't get worse, Everything in the room was moist. My comforter, the floor, the couch cushions, even the lamp shades. It was as if the sprinklers were on. And when I wanted to complain, I had to knock on another's guest door on a different floor, because our phones wouldn't work. The experience was simply bad, and for a frequent traveler like me, I don't think that I could ever stay at this chain again. As a national radio DJ, a move all over the place and this site, and locals were one of my worse. I hope that things improve over there.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• It was under remodel construction.

“Overall, the hotel was fairly nice. It was undergoing a remodel and so the lobby and entire front of the hotel were closed down. They had converted one of the hotel rooms to the front desk. Because the some of the rooms were also undergoing remodel, there was sometimes a chemical smell (maybe paint or paint thinner) that was very strong and definitely didn't smell like it was healthy for us to be breathing. Other than that, we had a nice stay and it was right by the airport.”

“Hotel staff told me that nothing could be done about the mattress and I couldn't get another room because they were booked solid. I was stuck in the same room with the defected mattress.”

• I liked the free parking.
• Why would a pool be closed during high season? They were not working on that part of the building while we were there.

“Our room was very dark and humid. You have to wear shoes, cause the carpet was kind of squishy. Also the pool was not available due to remodeling. That was a major let down. Who would remodel a pool during high season? When we asked the staff for local directions such as where is the closest grocery store and where is the bus stop, they were totally clueless.”

“We found a cockroach, an earwig, and a mosquito in the room. The exercise room was being remodeled. Internet access was a $20 a day charge! Overall, it was not what I expect from a Sheraton!”

“Basic, clean. They accommodated our request for 2 adjoining rooms. Staff checked with us shortly after our arrival to see if our rooms were acceptable. I was traveling with 2 senior citizens (80 year olds), and we needed a place to stay overnight for an early morning flight. This hotel fulfilled our needs.”
