“Hotel was owned by Sheraton. Recently sold to Radisson. I've known the hotel since built in the 80's and it was a fantastic place. Renovations being done now and housekeeping staff needs more intensive training on job duties and performance. I'm sure that with time it will once again be the jewel of hotels in NH that it once was. Pool & health club were good. Restaurant was good. General facilities good as well.”

- Room very tired, cracked sink, poor lighting, and dated décor.
“Adequate in its current state, presently being renovated. We had a very tired room, old, worn, not bright or fresh. Room maid knocked on door in very early morning to ask when we'd be leaving.”

- Used to love this hotel when it was a Sheraton.
- Extreme need for renovation disrepair everywhere.
“Always a favorite hotel, the Tara is now a Radisson. It was undergoing renovations, not a minute too soon. The heating system in the room was horrible, either freezing cold or much too hot, with no in between. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bathroom, while clean, was shabby. We did not visit the restaurant as spending $18.00 for breakfast is a little pricy for southern NH. There were many other dining locations outside of the hotel.”

- Staff went above and beyond customary.
- Nothing.
“The manager arranged for all hotel guests to have access to the concierge level due to a severe snow storm. Drinks, hot and cold snacks, friend staff made the stay even better than great previous stays at this hotel. Nothing could have made our stay better after moving into a new house the day of a major snow storm. This hotel, and it's staff, made it a relaxing and enjoyable evening.”

- It is a very nice property both inside and out, and we really liked everything about this hotel.
- The outside Radisson Hotel street sign to turn into the parking lot was not lit a couple of the nights we were there.
“This is a high quality hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was helpful and courteous. To be environmentally conscious, they give you the option to not have towels and sheets cleaned every day. There is a nice wireless area and bar for relaxing on the first floor. You will also find a little shop for snack food, a gym, and a pool on the property. It's a good location, with easy access right off of Exit 1, and it can be seen from the highway.”

- Looks like it is ready for a renovation.
“This is an older hotel that was clearly a notable business/function hotel at one point. It was built with character and attention to detail, but has worn with age. It is in a super convenient location with great potential to be an excellent hotel once again. Lobby/function area renovations were underway. Overall it little less than what I expected for a three star hotel, but I think if renovations are planned throughout the hotel it could be very nice. Room interior was pseudo business with a slightly worn appearance. Nice, but not very nice. Bed was comfortable with modern fluffy comforters and big 'ol pillows, a bonus for tired travelers. Light sleepers should bring ear plugs; the room HVAC cycles on every minute or so even when off.”

- Staff was friendly, excellent breakfast buffet, great location.
- Exterior warm and inviting, interior disappointing, common, dirty carpet.
“My husband and I were looking for a weekend away from real life. We were warmly greeted by the staff and encouraged to take advantage of their Friday evening free drink and appetizers in the foyer. We enjoyed ourselves, but were disappointed with the quality of the halls and parts of the room. Overall we were happy that we took the weekend away.”

“I liked the hotel very much. I was staying on a nonsmoking floor but the room next door has smokers in it. I complained to the manager and they suggested I move to another room. When I informed them that they should move the people violating the no smoking policy they finally took the hint.”

- Almost everything was shut down.
“The Radisson was a beautiful property with easy access to the freeway. It is undergoing a shift from Sheraton to Radisson, and the property made the shift fine, but the staff and the amenities are lagging. Pools not in operation. Restaurant hours not appropriate. No shop for small items for a traveler. I got my money's worth. I was there to write and rest and it was good for that. But had I wanted to do anything else, it would not have been available. What I got, was a good buy for me however.”

- The lobby is beautiful and the staff is fantastic.
- Age is definitely showing. Worn carpet beat up baseboards, dumpy over used furniture. TV bolted down and unable to be moved.
“Upon entering the hotel, one is greeted by clean and bright surroundings. After leaving the lobby, one has the feeling of a dingy, neglected hotel. Worn carpet beat up baseboards, walls in need of love and care. The rooms themselves are dingy with dodgy lighting and dented and scratched furniture. The couches are dumpy and the comforters even dumpier. Really needs some love and care. Room service food is bad at best. The food is greasy and industrial and way overpriced. I have even stayed at other hotels in the area that are a lower or no star rating and a bit more expensive but definitely a brighter feel. I thought I would give these guys one more time since being purchased by Sheraton but I think I might wait until the renovation.”

- The friendliness of the front desk staff.
- Carpeting throughout the hotel looked old and somewhat dirty due to age.
“Location was great, plenty of restaurants and shopping. Fitness room was great, especially since it had free weights and weight training machines, pool area was clean. Unfortunately, the rooms did not have NESN (New England Sports News) so we had to watch the red sox in the lobby, next to the bar. It was not conducive to kids wanting to watch their favorite team in their pajamas. It should be in every room.”

- Pool too far from room. Did not vacuum or dust room the first day. They never did dust the top of the bed rail. Carpet in hall needs to be cleaned.
“Very pretty hotel on the outside. Beds were very comfortable. The room was not cleaned as much as I would like. I really liked the pool/whirlpool. I was just too far from the room. Also, one night when we came in around 1:00am the key to the room did not work. So we had to get someone to our room on the fifth floor to let us in.”

- There was mildew growing on the walls of the shower stall.
“The overall experience was ok, mainly because the shower stall had a serious amount of mildew growing in the stall. Which makes a person think that if they cannot clean the obvious actually how clean is the rest the room. The front desk staff was very helpful and willing to try.”

- The lobby was bright and cheerful with nice floors.
- After you left the opulence of the lobby, you went to the hall in your room and noticed the wear and tear.
“Overpriced but expected in an area with few upscale hotels. Rooms are worn with carpets and baseboards showing real wear and tear. Nicks and damage to furniture. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff could use some etiquette and service lessons. No really nice restaurant but a pit with a large screen TV in the side of the lobby. Would choose the crowned plaza over this place but the location is near shopping so choose your poison.”

- The gardens and exterior are lovely.
- Room smelled like smoke; poor quality furnishings and carpet.
“The hotel looks a castle from outside, beautiful pond and gardens, romantic setting. The staff is professional and courteous. The hallways and room I stayed in, are dim, out-dated, and unattractive. I met some business travelers who return there annually for a convention who love the place. It may well depend on what type of room (price-range) you stay in. For one night traveling it was okay for the price.”

- There are only a limited amount of rooms with king sized bed and it is first-come first-serve.
“From the outside, this hotel looks like a castle. It is extremely convenient, right off of the highway. There is an upscale feel to this property, and the staff was courteous and professional. The room was very nice, the bed was very comfortable, and there were at least six or seven pillows on the bed. ”

- The feeling of tranquility. Very relaxed.
- No dining facilities. But food is provided at the lounge.
“If you want comfort, tranquility and a laid-back atmosphere while on business or leisure, I would recommend this hotel.”

- Majestic lobby.
- Needs major updates to room and hallways.
“My wife and I were disappointed with the age and decor or lack of in our room.. We actually checked out a day early to stay at a better hotel suite. Homeward suites much nicer accommodations..”

- The lobby was beautiful, internet access off lobby, nice bar.
- Pool was closed, bathroom sink stopped up, light switch by front door broken.
“The staff was friendly. The room was bare and colorless. Bed comfortable. Bathroom sink blocked. Window decoration peeled off. Light switch by the front door broken. The hotel was very quiet, which was great. Very convenient location to the highway. Charged for local phone calls. Easy checkout from the room. The kids were really disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance.”

- Clean and great location.
- Pool closes at 8:30pm Saturdays & 7:30pm Sunday.
“Overall the stay was fine. When we arrived there was no parking close to the hotel due to a marine¿s ball with over 300 marines plus guests that was taking place. You couldn¿t get into the lounge (too crowded) to have a drink. Not the quiet weekend planned! The room was clean but the furniture was definitely outdated and needs to be replaced. We were very disappointed that the pool area was closed 8:30 and 7:30 on the weekends. We were able to use it for 20 minutes the entire weekend. Would I stay here again if I was looking to stay in the same area, probably?”
