• Convenient location.
• Room smelled a little musty.

“It's very functional
and appropriately a 2 star hotel. It is clean, provides all the basics but none of the frills. The restaurant served a modest breakfast buffet but service was not good (they appeared shorthanded). Our room was clean but smelled a little musty.”

• Well laid out, clean and nicely furnished.
• Poorly signed for entering parking area;pain to access with round about.

• Room air was not on upon arrival, restaurant AC broken.

“The room AC was not on and the air was stifling. On the way to the pool we passed stacks of mattresses in the hallway and a slug on the floor next to them. I had the keys fixed and reported the slug to the front desk. While in the indoor pool, a severe lightening storm came and lasted a while. They left several sliding doors open and allowed guests to continue to swim at the risk of being electrocuted. While we were sleeping the AC finally kicked in and we awoke shivering. On the way to our complimentary breakfast we saw the smashed slug next to the mattresses people will one day sleep. The restaurant had a wait of 45 minutes. Many tables were left unused and they ran out of butter and cream cheese. During check out the clerk asked how my stay was and I explained how it was very nicely and received a blank stare, zero compassion and an 'I'm sorry'. I stay in this town every other weekend in the summers and I will use a different hotel next summer.”

• It's close proximity to family and friends.
• Only two entrances to rooms.

“Quiet considering it is just off a main road. The exterior grounds are well maintained. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The pool was a plus and it too was kept in good condition. Interior courtyard garden lovely as well as functional. Public areas (lobby, restaurant, etc) comfortable and welcoming. The staff was terrific and very helpful. We were offered a complimentary continental breakfast. To be kind, complimentary or not, it was not of our liking. We ate elsewhere the remaining three days. With a little effort this could be a 4 star hotel. The 3 star rating is a fair appraisal. We would stay there again.”

• Helpful manager came right away when called to repair a continuous running toilet.
• Continental breakfast was less attended to than I expected it should have been!

• It was dirty, and staff rude.

“If you want location this is hotel for you, Staff was rude. About check cashing which they have in the book in the room. Table was dirty, carpet wasn't vacuumed bathroom hairs all on toilet, sink restaurant -serve was slow. Forgetting what we asked. Gave us chicken that was recooked. He then got busy and didn't come back for our money.”

“The room smelled like ass and the fire alarm went off in the morning through the whole hotel for at least a half hour on New Year's Day. Perfect way to start the New Year hung over and unable to sleep because of a loud beeping noise.”

• The staff was exceptionally understanding- I was staying for my brothers funeral.
• Construction in rooms on both sides of me. I finally fell asleep and the drill woke me.

“I liked the staff & the facility. The pool is nice for a family. Although the food is good, the hotel restaurant closes at 9pm, and bar at 11pm on a Friday night. I would have rated the hotel & services higher if there was a place for friends to gather- other then the lobby after 11pm. My stay was non-traditional and I had friends & family visiting at odd times. The staff was quiet and understanding of my needs.”

• The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
• There was no lamp on the night stand. I had to get out of bed to turn off the lights.

“I had an overall pleasant stay. The room service was fast and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast buffet was very satisfying. I would definitely stay again.”

• Depressing decor. Drab, dreary, and out dated.

“Small town, so choice is limited. Also likely the reason it is a basic hotel. Rooms need to be updated. Cigarette smell in the halls. Room had an unpleasant odor.”

• The staff was very friendly & tried to be accommodating.
• Under construction.

“This was a terrible experience. I had to change rooms 2 times! 1st time because of how the noise, 2nd time because of the fumes from the newly installed wallpaper, paint & flooring! The construction crew was working in the rooms next to me I checked in at 9:30 pm & didnt get a chance to relax until 10:30 pm from switching rooms) they should have closed the areas under construction. I definitely should not have been charged 100.00 per night for this unacceptable conditions, and I definitely should have had the notification that this hotel was under construction because I would have never stayed there. I also have pictures of all the crap laying around in the hallways if you want.”

• Extremely comfortable bed, fast and easy wireless internet access.
• The quality of food offered at the "free" buffet breakfast was mediocre.

“Rooms were impressively quiet despite noisy individuals in adjacent rooms. Beds were extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the free buffet breakfast left a lot to be desired - rubbery scrambled eggs, greasy sausage patties, and a toaster but no bread to toast in it. However, overall it wasn't a bad place, and it was much better than the nearby (and only slightly less expensive) super 8 where we stayed the previous night.”

• Convenient location to baseball fields where we had games, good breakfast and wait staff.
• Dirty room (hair in bathroom, beer bottle and cigarettes on balcony), ceiling of room in disrepair, uncomfortable bed.

• Proximity to final destination.
• Road construction made it somewhat difficult to access.

“My stay at this hotel was an enjoyable experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. I was able to accomplish what I needed to do without having to worry about whether my lodging needs would be taken care of.”

• The atmosphere was welcoming, secure and relaxing. We felt at home immediately.
• I wish the pool were open earlier in the morning.

“The hotel was great. It was one of the many things that made our stay in the Keene area enjoyable. Every staff member we met was friendly, helpful and efficient. We will definitely consider returning.”

• Free internet access in the lobby; mini-refrigerator in room
• Could use a remodel in rooms; a bit of a smell in the rooms

“The hotel is located on the outskirts of town, yet easily accesible to all major areas. The lush green trees surrounding the exterior is very appealing, although the interior could use an update. They are in the process of installing an elevator at this present time. The rooms are fairly large and include amenities such as a TV with remote, mini-fridge, side table and chairs, and in the bathroom, a hairdryer for convenience. A sliding glass door leads to a parking lot, which was a nice feature.”

• Switched rooms due to poor cleanliness/bad odor

“Staff was very helpful when we requested a different room. Parking lot was well lite. Info book in room was very helpful. Beds were very hard (good if you like that,we didn't) Will definately use again. Cut cost almost in half.!!!!!!!”

“I rated our overall experience at 3" as at approximately 12:45am, the fire alarm went off and continued to sound for several minutes. We did not receive any explanation at checkout and did not receive any type of compensation for this major disruption during our overnight stay, which I believe the hotel should have offered."”
