“I slept great after adjusting the temperature (it was really cold when we arrived). There was a lot of literature in the room and the lobby warning about thieves and such, which made the area seem unsafe.”

“I have stayed at this Holiday Inn on a prior visit. Really like everything about it. It has computer access for guests, an indoor pool, exercise room and in-room small refrigerator and a microwave oven as well as an iron & ironing board and a hair dryer. All my needs were met - would love to stay there on my next trip out.”

- My breakfast was cold and it tasted terrible.
“The hotel was ok. I had two situations that came up. First, my breakfast from room service was terrible! Second, I had an issue with a bill that was slipped under my door. The explanation I was given the next day was not satisfactory for me.”

- The beds, linens and towels were all like brand new!
- Parking lot was chaotic.
“We are vendors at the big e, which is a 17 day event, so we were at the hotel for 18 nights. Our stay was the most pleasant stay we have had since we started our business 5 years ago. We travel all over the country and stay in all kinds of hotels. This one is top notch and I cannot think of one negative thing to say. The maids did a fantastic job on our room every single day.”

- Room was clean, bed comfortable, no noise from other rooms.
- Breakfast buffet was terrible, management for breakfast was ineffective. No food, no juice. Awful.
“Although overall stay was very good, the breakfast buffet and staff were disappointing. Also the pool had no towels and when we asked for some the lady brought 4 for the whole pool area. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean, both the most important thing to me when I travel.”

- The location was close to six flags.
- Much of the advertised amenities were not true.
“We chose this hotel because it was close to six flags new England and it had an outdoor pool with a continental breakfast - it had neither of these! It had an indoor pool that was overcrowded, too hot, and not clean. Although, I am sure you rely on the hotels for the information I think you verify what they say - there were other inaccuracies about their advertisement from your site but these were the two big things that many our mini-vacation a let-down.”

- The food at the restaurant was mediocre.
“I was very pleased. The hotel is clean and the staff was friendly and they have free Wi-Fi. Its an older property, but its well kept and the room was comfortable. There are no stores or things to do within walking distance; the neighborhood is a parking garage and some offices with Hooters across the street. Its a great place for a business traveler or for families that are there for other attractions nearby.”

- Halls were untidy; restaurant ran out of food, odor in, lounge of stale beer.
“This unassuming hotel is in need of renovation. Their lunch-time meals consisted of pre-packaged foods for sale in the lobby. The halls and lounge were quite dirty, while the room was okay. I was shocked to find a dead bug on the floor. The bathroom in the room was in dire need of renovation - replacement of the toilet seat and shower curtain, etc. I would not recommend this hotel.”

“we went for breakfast at the restaurant on the 12 floor and order our meals, asked for 2 kids cups with lids was told they had none. Five minutes later two other family came in with kids and got kid cups. It did not make any sense why my kids who I had the youngest 2 years old and 6yrs old was not able to get those cups. And it was the same people taking the orders.”

“First day there, after we checked in, they told us they had no running water, due to some major plumbing issues. We had to use a port-o-potty outside in the back of the hotel! This is no lie. Floor we stayed on smelled of mold/mildew. Pool was disgustingly dirty. Most motels are in better repair than this hotel. Disappointed.”

- The room was clean and inviting and the staff very helpful.
- I am an outside speed walker and the neighborhood was not the nicest, but the hotel did have a treadmill as an option.
“On my second stay at the Springfield Holiday Inn, I was again pleased at the cleanliness and inviting quality of the room. The staff, from the reception desk, bakery, etc. was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay there again as my daughter is in a nearby college and we visit periodically.”

- The staff was plentiful and willing to help with directions around town.
- I didn't feel safe to walk outside it surroundings even though it was downtown.

- Booked us in room already occupied. Cobwebs all over the ceiling of room.
“This hotel had wonderful staff at the front desk as far as courtesy and friendliness go. However, they gave us keys and sent us to a room, which was already occupied, and the guest was in the room and napping. Not a nice thing to have happen. We then had to hang around in the hallway waiting for another room to be found and for keys to the second room. Bad start. The room we were given had no wastebaskets and we had specifically called and asked for a smoking room, which we got, but not a single ashtray. In addition, the curtains were very sheer with no drapes to pull over them. Nice if you are an early riser, but very annoying for me to have the sun streaming in at 6 a.m. when I wanted to sleep. Lying in bed, I looked up at the fancy woodwork on the ceiling, only to note that it was covered with what had to be several months¿ worth of cobwebs. I would have second thoughts about booking this hotel again.”

- The location, directly off the freeway and close to downtown. Excellent restaurant with great view. Business center.
- Soda machines not working or empty; Ice machine broken.
“This Holiday Inn dates from the late 1960's. Some hallway carpets were worn and dingy. In the bathroom, the heat lamp switch was missing, the lamp itself was not working and the fluorescent light was flickering. These matters were corrected promptly. Maid service was responsive and well done. Free parking is a real plus in a downtown hotel. The restaurant, on the top floor, has an excellent view of the city. Food was very good and the service was prompt and attentive. The hotel is good.”

- The room was very nice and atmosphere in the lounge was very friendly.
- The view was not very nice.
“The room was very nice and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed the large pool and the friendly atmosphere of the lounge staff and patrons. The locations is very convenient to highway access, but the location does not make for a very good view of much of anything.”

- Room was nice and pretty close to my destination of Springfield Marriott
- Room had not been cleaned when I checked in
“Nicely proportioned room. Television, shower worked well. Bed was comfortable. Only complaint is that I checked into a room had not been fully cleaned.”

- toilet was cranky, no waste baskets in bathroom, nor in room, tv had no sound, fuxzzy picture
“room service got order wrong, wait for breakfast delivery was over 1/2 hour, toilet nearly non-functional, tv not working, no wate baskets in room, nor in bathroom, room #711”

- It has free hi speed internet, and a bar in Hotel.
- Was told not to walk around the area to any near by places to eat at night by myselt.
“It is a standard Holiday Inn.”
