- Very fast check-in, clean & attractive rooms.
- Room service made several mistakes which caused one of us to wait two hours for the meal.

- Location very convenient to point of interest.
- Break fast was to be complimentary ended up paying over 110 dollars 1 day of breakfast for 6.
“We had a view of the bridge. My 10 year old left them a letter telling them how she really enjoyed her overnight stay. However she was asleep when our toilet backed up and towels had to be placed through out our floor as rugs were soak and wet. Front desk didn't make mention of our night as this happened during the night when my 14 year old got up to use the bathroom. it interrupted our sleep.”

“Could have had the option of a room where smoking is permitted. At the minimum, a smoking area for smokers. The Sheraton is right next to this hotel, would have preferred staying there. Overall very satisfied!”

- The hotel staff was responsive, and the food great.
- Due to a conference going on there were extremely loud kids on our floor, but that is circumstantial.

- Very convenient, clean, comfortable bed, nice sports bar.
- Bathroom too small, in-room movies ridiculously priced @ 13.99.
“Overall, enjoyed our stay immensely. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The location was great also, as we walked most everywhere. Bathroom was too small though, barely fits one. And the in-room movies are way too expensive @ $13.99. Wouldn't even pay 7.99. Friendly staff, nice business center to print directions if needed. Great sports bar attached.”

- The communication of the employees, and the fact that my packages were hidden from me.
“This is a nice hotel but the overall attitude of the staff in regards to incoming packages was one of "he can have the packages when we are ready to give them to him. "This was over 24 hours after they were actually delivered and caused me to miss very important meetings with my clients. Seeing as how I was their client I would have expected at least an apology, but there was a general sense that it was my fault for shipping items there and following the exact instructions that they gave me over the phone.”

- The pool deck had food crums on it for two days.
“This was nice a hotel in a very convenient location for the sites that we wanted to see. The room was well furnished and the bedding was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The exercise room had brand new equipment and well maintained. Our only complaint was that someone had been eating in the pool area and there were crums on the pool deck. The crums were still there on the second day of our visit.”

- Let us stay 2 hours past checkout to use the pool, etc., because we had a 2 p.m. meeting in the city later that day--very nice!
- We were disappointed in the whirlpool. It did not bubble up like usual.

- The rooms were beautiful and clean.
- The pool and health club were closed for renovations. We did use the Sheraton's pool across the street.
“The rooms were very spacious and clean. However, the health club and pool were closed for renovations, which no one told us about till we went to the pool to use it. We went to the front desk and they said we could use the Sheraton's health club and pool if we showed them our Marriott key card and brought our Marriott towels with us. The Sheraton's facilities were nice, but I wish someone had told us about the pool closure before we went to use it.”

- I loved the convenience from check in to check out also the geographic location close to Bars as well as restaurants.
- No complimentary breakfast but even without it I enjoyed my stay.

- Easy access from highways 91 & 391. Turnpike nearby. Endless dining options close by.
- Sheraton directly across the St. Had festival of trees for $5 admission, Marriott offered nothing for holiday travelers.
“Check in and out was a breeze. The hotel and rooms have declined somewhat over the years Ive stayed here. If I were to complain about anything it would be that not much goes on in the hotel. I would also love it if overnight parking was included in price. For the money it was/is a great value and hotel!”

- Modern, easy access to parking garage, friendly staff.
- First room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. The hotel nickel-and-dimes you for everything.
“The Marriott Springfield is a nice, clean, professional hotel. Nothing stood out as exceptional, but a few issues left a bad taste in my mouth. Our non-smoking room had a distinct odor of cigarette smoke. We called the front desk and were promptly given a new room. Second, the hotel nickel-and-dimes for everything. I realize that many hotels do this, but I still expect better from a hotel like Marriott. Parking for hotel guests was $11, soft drinks from the machine were $2.00 each, and movies in my room were $10. Overall, not bad, but certainly nothing exceptional.”

- Super clean and nice room. Very good staff. Pool and Jacuzzi are great.
- Parking is expensive (14$ a night). Internet is expensive (10$ a day) but secure.
“I hear that was the best hotel in Springfield and that's true. The rooms are very nice and clean. Plenty of room to put our clothes and stuff. Staff very friendly and both restaurants are good (specially the "Currents" with Ray at the bar). I'd really appreciated the apple and the bottle of water each morning, with the smile at the same time. On the other hand, downtown is desert. There's nothing to do after 6pm. Appear not to be safe to walk alone. I highly recommend this hotel.”

“The hotel was difficult to find. The carport area was lined with cars, causing a backup onto the street. The room felt a bit damp. Aside from that, I found the service, appearance, restaurant selection, parking, and view to be absolutely wonderful. I was a bit surprised that there was no WIFI access and that there was a charge for an internet connection. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and I give it a rating of 9 out of 10.”

- Beautiful inside and gorgeous view!
- Staff was not helpful about transportation, attractions, and our room was not cleaned for day 2.
“We have stayed here before and have always been unexpected traveler. Never asking for anything and accepting what your get. However, this is a 3 star hotel and I expect service. Our first night was great, great room, view and amenities. We had to recheck in for our 2nd night and got no service, no clean towels, no beds turned down. I called for clean towels 2 times 3 hours apart before I got clean towels. I made my own bed, just like home. When asking about local attractions and transportation we were suggested to look in a phone book and call a cab. Classy. I think next year we will stay at the Sheraton across the street, at least they offered a complimentary shuttle to the mall.”

- No breakfast included. The lobby was under construction. No free internet.

- The hotel is downtown in a convenient location and has a great sports bar and mall attached.
- No significant issues.
“I am a repeat customer to the Springfield Marriot. It is a quality hotel, conveniently located to downtown with easy freeway access. The hotel is attached to an area of shops and a sports bar that are very good. The front desk staff was helpful in obtaining discount Six Flags tickets and coupons for the entire family. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. They've earned my repeat business!”

- The staff was always courteous.
- We were promised a roll-away bed and it never came. The AC didn't work in our room. We had a miserable night!

When we arrived at around 9:45 p.m. we were offered a roll away bed and told it would be in our room in 30 minutes. An hour later we called the front desk and were told there was no roll away beds. When we called later to report that our A/C wasn't working, we were offered a different room. A little later we found out there were no other rooms available. We spent a miserable, hot night. A staff member told us we should get a full refund for this hotel stay.”

“The hotel was convenient and easy to find. The beds were very comfortable, the room pleasantly decorated. The pool and hot tub were great as well as the health club. I would easily stay here again.”

- Very comfortable room with full amenities.
- Parking fee was high, an extra $12.00.
“Very nice facility with excellent beds, nice restaurant associated with it. Only downside is the parking fee is steep, feel they should compensate the fee for hotel guests (it is at one end of mall).”

- Rooms were a nice size and beds were comfortable. Lobby was very attractive.
- Having to pay $13.00 to park our car. The noise being the hotel is located next to the freeway. Hotel location downtown, not great.
“This is a very attractive and up scale hotel, sort of. Having to pay $13.00 to park our car, ruined it from the get go. Downtown is a pain in the butt and the noise from the roads made it difficult to sleep. Nice room and comfortable beds.”

- There were no bad surprises when we got there - everything was as promised.
- I would rather have free parking, but that would not stop me from staying there.

- Great pool area and hot tub. Comfortable beds.
- Did not have free internet access in the rooms.
“The hotel has a nice 6th floor fitness/pool area. The same floor has a grassy outdoor area which we found refreshing for an urban location. The hot-tub and pool area were great, but we wished the hot tub had better jets. Our room had very comfortable pillow-top beds. We were very satisfied.”

- I liked the comfy beds, and the cookies set out in the lobby!
- The extra charge for parking, jeepers! $13 a night!
