• The location was ideal for this business trip.
• Used washcloth hung over the sink upon arrival. Shower didn't drain.

“The location was fantastic, the hotel name was impressive and it was only one night. but the bathroom was not clean upon arrival. There was a stale, used washcloth hung over the shower curtain. The tub didn't drain. I would not want to stay there again.”

• Two bad rooms this time, which is unusual here.

“I stay here about 15 times per year. Normally it is fine, deserving of 3 stars. But this time, a non smoking room at first smelled smoky. They gave us a different room, which we requested due to the smell. The second room had many carpet stains and strong deodorizer smell but was otherwise ok. This was only my 3rd bad experience here in perhaps 40 visits. One time I was given a room which was already occupied, and the desk didn't even apologize. The other bad time was being put across the hall from a revival meeting which had a lot of singing and shouting starting at 6:30am on a Sunday morning.”

• People were very helpful and friendly.
• Decor of the hotel looked very tired and not up to Sheraton standards.

“Hotel looked very tired, needs remodeling and redecorating. People were great - friendly, helpful and polite. Overall - OK, we had expected more from 3-star level Sheraton. There were no microwave or refrigerator in the room, ice machine on our floor was out of order and, since there no easily accessible stores or places to eat outside of the hotel, the only option to eat were expensive restaurant at the hotel. This hotel is OK for business not for vacations. GYM and pool were available but looked cold and empty - not very inviting, there were no hot tub. I have stayed at the Sheraton that were much better. Again - people did their best to make us welcome and comfortable, person at the front desk gave us detail directions and stay with us on the phone when we were lost coming there.”

• I liked the location of the hotel.
• I didnt like the front desk staff, during the day shift.

“Once we arrived at the hotel and went to our room, we found that the A.C. wasnt working and during the night the ceiling started leaking. After advising the front desk of the room condition, they set us up in another room. The second room was very nice and met my satisfaction.”

• The room was dirty, carpet stained badly, previous guests left hairdryer on sink.

“The room was not properly cleaned. The carpet was disgustingly filthy, a dirty washcloth was on the shower bar, the towel rack was broken. The front desk clerk asked me how the room was when I checked out. I handed the person a list. I was compensated the previous nights dinner as a courtesy.”

• The room was very comfortable and appeared very clean.
• I thought the front desk was unfriendly as they ignored my presence when I came to the desk for a while.

“This is an excellent hotel but I think the front desk personnel have to be retrained to greet and treat people in a friendly and welcoming manner.”

• I loved the bedding and comforter.
• I barely had hot water when I got in the shower around 9:30 am.

“I (25 yrs. old) spend the night in Hartford with my younger sister (15 yrs. old). She had her dance competitions at the CT convention center, both Saturday and Sunday. I was a bit nervous having to drive around and stay in a city I wasn't familiar with. However, the minute we find to the hotel I felt at ease. The Parking lot was very well lit and there was ample parking close to the front door. The staff was warm and friendly. I saw a hotel security guard that seemed to be keeping and eye on everything. I was delighted I was going to get a great nights sleep after a long day of makeup and jazz hands! Thanks so much!”

• Bed, size of room, furnishings.
• Room smelled of mildew. Blankets too heavy so either hot or cold.

“We have stayed here often and we like it. Lobby is attractive, everyone is nice. TV is good etc. fitness room, pool. However it is awful if you get lost, but if you don't, it is amazingly convenient to the highway and to Hartford proper. This time we stayed, I noticed the rug in the room needs upgrading, and the only other complaint was I couldn't get comfy with temperature. Blanket is really thick and ventilation system made me cold or hot. I couldn't get really comfortable but all in all I definitely recommend this hotel.”

• The staff was very helpful and friendly. Location and pool great.
• There were no other restaurants nearby on weekends in walking distance. A washer and dryer would have been good for us too.

“This hotel and staff couldn't have been nicer. A soda got spilled on a bed and the staff was up with clean sheets in minutes of the request. Any time I asked the front desk about anything, I was answered quickly and with a good answer. I asked for a pizza recommendation and was given one that was good as promised. The location was easy on and off the highway and close to the Convention Center where we were attending. The business center had interesting supplies but one computer with a teenager using it the entire time. I wish there was a washer and dryer onsite also.”

• That Wi-Fi was not available in room for free.

• The man at the desk the morning we checked out gave me good directions.
• Not ready for us. Troubles checking in. no shower curtain. Non responsive to our requests and I am shocked it was a 3 star hotel.

• Indoor pool was too cold to enjoy swimming.

“This is an average hotel. Our main complaint was that the pool was too cold to enjoy swimming in. We did let the management know, but I'm sure that it would take hours to raise the temperature if they turned up the heat. We went there specifically to let the kids use the pool, so that was a disappointment. Other than that, the room was fine, nothing special, but adequate. Common areas were clean and staff was friendly.”

• Can't think of anything.

“With clean and well-equipped rooms, excellent service and accommodations, this downtown Hartford hotel is one of the best in the city. Location is park-like, safe, and right next to downtown and close to major thoroughfares. Parking is free. Free shuttle service has about 25 drop-off/pick-up locations for travelers who want to eat and drink but not drive. A choice of newspapers is offered for the reader in the morning. Work-out facilities are just above average, though. The pool is spacious and looked fun but did not try. Restaurant by the lobby was reasonably price and provided decent, timely service. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and the thermostats are easy to adjust. Overall, one of the friendliest hotels I have visited in quite sometime. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone. It's a winner by most, if not all, standards.”

• Great hotel, nice people!
• You are very close to the highway, and if your room is facing it the noise may keep you up!

“The room is clean and neat it is a nice place, but very pricey ( a liter bottle of Poland spring water was $4.50, the continental breakfast was $10.00). I would also make sure that you get a room not facing the highway or the noise will keep you up. There is a indoor pool here!”

“Conveniently located off I-84 and CT Rt-2, this Sheraton is better than the 3-Star rating implies. With friendly, competent front desk staff, an excellent restaurant and meticulous housekeeping staff. This Sheraton provides a comfortable, safe and relaxing environment that exceeded our expectations and made our trip to visit Mohegan Sun a pleasure. • Nice 3-star hotel.
• Cost of high-speed internet access expensive.

“Basically a nice 3-star hotel. Restaurant was not open that Sunday evening at 8:30 pm, but they did have a room service menu available. Also their charges for internet access seemed excessive. It was $9.95 for a 24 hour period that ran from 12 midnight to 12 midnight. So you would have to pay twice for a 1 day stay.”

• Beds were very comfortable. Easy to find, clean, except for tub.
• Shower walls looked like they had just been grouted and the residue left on the tile. Tub floor not clean, place was noisy.

“Hotel was beautifully decorated with nice, comfortable rooms and beds. Location is convenient and easy to find. The nightclub located on the ground floor meant it was noisy inside and out for our Friday and Saturday night stays. The tub mat was on the floor of the tub and looked like it had been used to protect the floor while someone grouted the tile on the walls. The grout had not been washed off the tile and the tub floor wasn't clean. The desk staff on Friday night wasnt particularly friendly.”

• Sheraton's bed and lining were extremely comfortable, and also house keeping didn't disturb us while we were sleeping in.
• One day during our stay, we didn't get fresh towels nor was the room cleaned.

“The Sheraton hotel has a great location, and the rooms are always clean when I arrive. The beds are extremely comfortable and I am guaranteed a good nice rest.”

“This hotel lived up to its brand name. It was clean and very bright in the lobby and in your room. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the room itself spacious and comfortable. I would definitely go back when I am in Hartford.”

• This hotel had free parking.
• The hotel doors slam loudly which you hear throughout the night.

“This hotel was a good choice for our night in Hartford. A cab ride from the hotel into downtown is around $7.50. I would not advise choosing to walk into the city from this hotel. The room was large, clean and well stocked with towels & toiletries.”

• The check in and check out was fantastic.
• Food was too expensive.

“It's a great location, and a nice, modern hotel. Food in the restaurant was good, but prices high. If there was a free breakfast, Id call it perfect.”

• The beds are incredibly comfortable. I love the down comforters and pillows. The bathroom is clean and adequate, the staff incredibly helpful.
• You could not walk into a town to have a meal outside the hotel. Nothing was close by.

“This hotel is conveniently located in the proximity of the Munich airport. It has a beautiful lobby that has fresh coffee in the morning, a fresh smoothie to greet you in the afternoon. The room is incredibly comfortable, room service is a good value, and the staff is incredibly polite and helpful.”

• The hotel was easy to find from the freeway.
• The hotel did not meet expectations for a Sheraton or for a "3 star" hotel.

“This was not a 3 star hotel, as indicated. I would give this hotel 1 star. Would not stay here again. The room was falling apart. For example the bathroom door knob was about to fall off and the electrical outlet was loose in the wall. Thought I might get shocked or pull the wiring out of the wall when unplugging my computer. They also charge for internet service in the hotel room. Told they do have free internet access in the business center, asked the hotel front desk for dining recommendations and was given a list of restaurants with phone numbers. The list did not include the address or directions to the restaurants nor did they give any recommendations.”
