• Enjoyed awakening to constructions noises.
• Having people stand outside door and talk most nights, Outside opening door.

“The hotel looks like an old travel lodge. They are in the process of remodeling to inside opening doors. You can hear people talk through the walls so hopefully they insulate the walls. I asked if they had laundry service and the front desk told me no, they do not wash your clothes for you along with the sheets. I had to explain that most hotels have a washer and dryer for guests. While eating breakfast the lady servicing the area responds under her breath to anything being said by the news commentator. They are trying to make the change to a real hotel. Maybe once the changes take place everything will come together.”

• Hard to find in the dark, even though it was on a main route, it was behind some restaurants.

• The staff set up a small table and two chairs outside of the room so we could play cards outside and would allow my father to smoke.
• Pool was closed, but I understand that maintenance and upgrades are necessary.

• Some of the staff was very helpful.
• The first room we were given was filthy, we were traveling with an infant and was told we just needed to keep her off the floor.

“The carpet in the room was damp and dirty. We had to argue with the staff to change our room Then we were hassled out of the original room forced wake our baby and move. The breakfast area was not kept clean the trash not emptied, tables on Sunday were dirty from Sat breakfasting.”

• Shuttle to the airport; easy check-in.
• Itchy, uncomfortable bed, loud AC, very noisy outside/ people knocking on door middle of the night.

“I may never stay at a Fairfield Inn again because of this place. It was the worst experience ever. The carpet felt sticky, the beds were horrible with just a sheet to cover ourselves with. The AC was too loud even on low. Would turn off and on all night and wake us up each time.”

• Clean, friendly, convenient to airport and restaurant nearby. Staff helpful.
• Not much negative.

“The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I was up to visit my son for Parents' Weekend and needed to stay near the airport for convenience. The shuttle to pick me up from the rental car agency was very slow, but the shuttle to the airport the next morning was on time thanks, I think, to the hotel staff. Comfortable, clean, and attractive rooms. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Good breakfast.
• Heating units are very loud in many of the rooms.

“This hotel seems to be under perpetual renovation, and this makes it a very good bargain for a Marriott class hotel. They have a generous continental breakfast and generally provide good amenities. The only issue is that the heaters tend to be rather loud in serval of the rooms.”

• Small lobby - front desk not too friendly - Couldn't get a king bed.

“Needed a room as we were flying. Sign said under renovation or would be. Third floor was indoors, but first and second floor rooms were accessed from outside. Our room was terrific. Bedding, shower, cleanliness.”

• The heater fan was quite loud, even on low setting.

“We were very happy with the hotel, staff, and location. As stated previously, the heater fan was loud but we had plenty of heat. Would definitely recommend to others.”

• All non-smoking rooms, no king sized beds.

“The hotel was in a good location. Construction was going on out front. The lobby area was clean but not overly clean. When I went to my room I was a little surprised as it was not as clean as I expected from this hotel chain. The bathroom specifically the tub and showed could definitely use a more deep cleaning as there was some mold that was visible. The rest of the room was adequate for the star rating.”

• Outside Entrances on First Two of Three Floors.

“The Fairfield Inn is all about convenience. It's situated just down the road from the major connector to the airport that has all the car rental companies. So drop off the morning of your flight and taking a shuttle is a breeze. There's a small fitness center I didn't try, an old lobby computer with internet service that is slow but free with a printer for boarding passes, and a non-inspiring continental breakfast that starts at 5am weekdays and 6am weekends. Ask for the third floor if you want to avoid an exterior door entrance to your room.”

• The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Clean and friendly staff.
• I had to unplug the heater; it worked great but was noisy. Came on often.

“I would stay here again with no doubt in my mind. Nice and safe and close to the things we needed to do. The 24hr coffee in the lobby was a great touch with hot choc for the kids. The continental breakfast exceeding our expectations. Was very happy with our stay.”

• Front desk staff was very attentive.
• Each room has exterior doors, not interior. Safety issue.

“Great location but does not have a shuttle. It uses one of the off site airport parking companies to pick up customer's from the airport. The staff was attentive, the lobby tiny as well as the dining area for breakfast. Rooms were nothing great and I can't recommend it for business travel because the internet access was extremely slow. Forget trying to download spreadsheets in outlook.”

“Overall: just ok. I have stayed at a lot nicer hotels for the same price. The towel bar fell off the wall and the faucet would not shut off without some messing around with it. Not terrible. Very average. I would rate it a 1 star. Staff not real friendly and the airport shuttle had me running late. Shuttle did not run on time at all; waited 20 minutes for driver to eat at the cont. Breakfast.”

• Very comfortable beds with a decent breakfast thrown in.
• Not up to Fairfield Inn typical excellent standards - seems to be a rebated hotel.

“Convenient to BDL and an acceptable hotel, but not up to the normal Fairfield Inn excellent standards Ive come to know. The rooms are outside access, mine had a funny smell (was that covered-up smoke?), small but acceptable bathroom. The beds however, were very comfortable. The hotel seems to be a rebated motel 6 or similar. Overall, reasonable 2 star value for price I paid.”

• Lots of pillows on comfortable beds.
• Claustrophobic bathroom.

“Overall this hotel was a comfortable place to stay. Our room was located just steps from the pool, where there were noisy swimmers until quite late at night, but that's not the hotel's fault. Breakfast in the morning had good variety and the staff was unfailingly friendly.”

“I thought, being close to the airport and things, that it would have refrigerators in the room. As a diabetic, I assumed I could keep my insulin in the refrigerator, but they didn't have one.”

• The continental breakfast was fantastic and far above expectations.
• They "accidentally" checked me out a day early and stole all my things. Then they tried to not compensate me for my losses.

“This hotel was absolutely fantastic, except for the fact that they stole everything I had in the room when they checked me out a day before I was supposed to check out. The customer service was horrible, but it was the best continental breakfast I have ever had at a hotel.”

• It felt very unsanitary, and the staff was never there!

“This hotel had outside entries to the rooms which made me feel unsafe for starters and then it appears they may have had water problems in the past as everything felt very wet. I didn't want to walk on the carpet with my bare feet. Additionally, the sink was clogged up and I just get creped out thinking that other people's "stuff" (i.e. hair, etc) was clogging up the sink I was using to wash my face! Sorry I couldn't give a better review. I usually like Fairfield Inns!”

• The staff were very helpful and provided a refrigerator for us, as our kids are diabetic.
• The breakfast room is extremely small and crowded. Hotel needs maintenance.

“Good location, near Hartford airport. Numerous restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful. Free Internet (wireless & via Ethernet cable). Free computer and printer in lobby - so you can check-in online and print out your boarding passes. Use of the free printer was very helpful. The air conditioning unit leaked onto the carpet in our room and one of our backpacks got wet. The toilet ran continuously. (You had to jiggle the handle to get it to stop.) The continental breakfast has good variety, including fresh Belgian waffles, but the room is extremely small and crowded. It should be three times larger for the size of the motel. If we had paid the going internet price on the Fairfield Inn's website we would have been disappointed.”

• It was nice, clean and in a good location with a gym.
• Very small breakfast area.

“I liked the location, next to good restaurants and the Bradley airport and also to Highway 91.Clean and excellent working parking space. Nice gym and a swimming pool.”
