- Parking was flat fee regardless of how many times you came and left.
- Faulty doors and windows.
“When you hear the name Hilton you automatically think exceptional interior and level of service. While everything was good I would put it on the same level as a Marriot. The lobby was nice, but the layout was closed. There was an in house restaurant but I did not have the opportunity to try it. The rooms were standard size without too much glitz. The bed was amazing! Definitely looking for a Hilton bed next holiday season. We had an issue with our TV upon arrival and had to switch rooms and it wasn't a major issue but the 1st room had a much better view. Seemless transaction checking in and out which was a very pleasant surprise. Parking was our highlight as we could go in and out as much as we pleased for a reasonable flat rate.”

- Good room, good value.
- Windows were cold, and heat was hard to control.
“I guess Im ok with the room. The only problem, considering it's an older building, is that although the rooms were clean and space was awesomely maintained, the room thermostat was hard to control. We had double blankets on our baby girl, at first the room started out nice and warm, and then later at night it was too chilly for her. Other than that, the price paid was certainly worth it, seeing as how I had to stay in downtown Hartford anyway.”

“This is a great hotel, with great staff, room, and fitness facilities. (Fitness Room is Great). Natural setting, and trails, great! Only difficulty, which is a bummer, is finding it in the maze of roads. Its a shame it's difficult, because once you get up that hill, it is superb.”

- The location is superb; staff friendly, helpful, and the room met our expectations.
- I have no complaints.
“The Renaissance Hotel's location was convenient to all of downtown Seattle, especially the waterfront, the beautiful library, and the Seattle Art Museum. It contributed to a very pleasant Seattle visit.”

- The hotel was actually beautiful when I opened the door I was pleasantly surprised.

“I actually stayed at this hotel and the last time it was an unacceptable experience due to sewer smell and water spilling over the bathrooms floors that the executive assistant at Hartford Hilton wrote back to me a stay free, but then the new executive assistant says the old executive assist. No longer work there and can't honor my stay. I did not want to call service, but the bath towels smelled perfume. It was used. Also, when I plug the iron to the GFI outlet, the fuse blew; coffee was not done and then, I did not iron my pants. I did not want to complain to the Hilton, until I left and ended up not ironing my clothes or drinking coffee. Then, when we went for breakfast, the coffee downstairs M&M was so strong that I experience a rush in caffeine to the brain. I wished I had better experience, but this is the 2nd time that I experience such unusual experience.”

- The bed was great.
- A/C didn't work in our room.
“My friend and I enjoyed our stay very much. Although our a/c was broken and it was 87 degrees out. We made a call and they sent up a very helpful employee who fixed the issue, we thought. We left for our concert and came back to a 78 degree room! The same person was sent up again to fix it. It worked fine for the rest of our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed made me not want to check out the next morning!”

- The decor was beautiful, and the location was great.
- The bathroom was cover in hair, housekeeping left our room open, and most of the staff was rude.
“I will never stay with the Hilton again. The worst thing is that I wrote a complaint to them about their rude staff and how awful I was made to feel about complaining that my room had been left open all day, and I still have not received a reply. ”

- First time in Hartford. Amenities and location were good. Pleasant staff.
- No hot water at times. Windows in room do not open for fresh air.
“This was my first time in Hartford, ct and I was told by locals that the Hilton downtown is an unbeatable location. It's a 1 minute walk to the most remarkable restaurants in Hartford. Max and tribal kitchen. The staff, at the Hilton, was quite attentive and pleasant. Even though, there were issues with the hot water. I would still highly recommend this hotel.”

- The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Not much nightlife in that section of town. And no convenience/grocery store was closed.

- The mattresses and bedding were fabulous.
- The exercise room was too cold to even think about exercising in.
“Beautiful place if not a little on the Target trendy side. Great bathroom and bedding. Beautiful pool. Front desk seemed a little understaffed and parking ramp ticket had to be stamped every time you came into the hotel, which meant waiting for a clerk to be available. We were bummed that Internet access came with a charge, which we did not access because of the expense. Definitely pleasant. First time we'd been in a Hilton.”

- Only the lighting in the bathroom and the exorbitant business center fees.

“I choose this hotel mainly because it listed having a whirlpool. The whirlpool was out of order when I arrive. somehow I was never told. To make up for it Some promises where made to me. I was offered a room upgrade and some meal and room service vouchers. I changed rooms and the new room was exactly the same as my previous room. So much for my "upgrade". Upon checking out my charges included things that were supposed to be comped based on my meal vouchers. When I spoke to the manager on duty, he explained that he didn't know anything about my situation and that a refund for these charges would not be given. All in all I was very disappointed with how things were handled. I will also note that the hotel was only 5% full during my stay.”

- The room was big, beds really comfortable, slept like a baby.
- Can't find anything I did not like, except no diabetic syrup in restaurant, but bananas did the trick.
“The staff at this hotel really try to go out of their way for you, the rooms are great and the service was excellent, they even upgraded my room for me with no hassle Concierge even printed out items from map quest for us. Parking is very convenient, even with a big concert going on and all parking places being taken, they had saved spots for Hilton hotel guests. I give this hotel a 10+.”

- Blankets and towels were good quality.
- No fridge or MW in room. $10 for Internet. $15/day parking.
“Rent a fridge for $10/day! I don't think so. Pay for Internet access that is touted as available? Never had to pay for that before. Same for parking at a hotel, even in a city. To top it off, the first room assigned to me had another couple in it already. The second room was small, with 2 full size beds. Cramped and uncomfortable. ”

- Clock had the wrong time and could not be changed by me. I had to wait an hour to have a maintenance man come and open the clock and change it.
“The hotel was very clean, check in was smooth. The parking garage was very crowded due to a concert across the street. Beware of the restaurant, I ordered a pastrami sandwich and had to return it because the meat smelled really bad.”

- Lobby/lounge area congested/loud.
“My husband and I have stayed at this hotel a number of times during our sons college life. The majority of stays were fine, even before the renovation. This last time (for his graduation) was the worst, and thankfully the last. When we first walked into the lobby from the parking area, we were greeted by the booming music from the lounge which was directly adjacent. First turnoff, after traveling three hours. Desk clerk could have been a LOT more guest friendly. After brining our bags to our room, we decided to go to the lounge for a relaxing drink, and by this time the music had stopped. We found seating, but at the expense of having to look at other seating areas that had been left uncleaned by staff. Glasses, napkins, seats askew. That was unnecessary, and not at all providing for our comfort. As they say in customer service, "it's the little things".”

- The Crabtree and Evelyn products, thick towels and fine linens were wonderful. It was also very clean.
- I did not like the very expensive parking that was assessed. I wish the room had two queen beds instead of two double beds.

- It was located close to where I wanted to be and room service staff were at least nice.
- The general lack of hospitality of the staff.
“Fire alarm went off late at night-staff had us outside (in freezing temps) and never bothered to inform us we could go back in. After having to ask if we were okay to return the staff said we would be camped breakfast in the AM, only to have it charged in full to me.”

- The restaurant was good.
- Too many fire drills, walking down 17 flights and standing in the cold.
“The hotel had two fire drills over the weekend, which adversely affected my niece who was competing in the junior Olympics. I understand there have been more fire drills in the previous few weeks. My legs are still sore several days later from walking down 17 flights, and standing in the cold.”

- Location.
- I was very disgusted by the Jacuzzi. There was dirt foamed up against the side of the walls. And then my robe got stolen from the swimming pool are.
“The hotel looks nice at first but beware. As my wife and I entered the pool area there were kids in the pool and two women who seemed to be employees on their day off. We saw a Jacuzzi and hopped in. Quickly jumped back out because we almost threw up our dinner. The hot tub was filled with dark dirt foam around the sides talk about nasty. And then my robe also got stolen from the swimming pool area. You have to get through 2 key access doors to enter the pool area. I really doubt guests are going to pay that much for a night in Chilton to steal a robe. Oh, and they seem to have problems supplying foot water no hot water at night and also in the morning Stay away from this hotel unless you want a miserable time. At least that's how it was for my wife and there'll stick with Marriott next time as we usually do.”

“I had to call 3 times for the hotel staff to ask neighboring guests to quiet down. When we brought this up to the staff the following morning we received an unapologetic reply.”

- Fantastic room, great view.
- Overpriced parking.
“This hotel is in fantastic spot in downtown Hartford. The Chinese or deli is cute and it has a little solo bar. The staff is wonderful and the facility is fabulous. The room was spectacular for the price and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The only problem is parking in a garage. Cost $15.00 a day.”

- The bed was extremely comfortable.
- The pipes made a lot of noise.
“The hotel is in a convenient location. Easy on and off access to route 84. The hotel was remodeled and is very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.”
