“Outdated, poorly maintained, if my wife had been with me she would have refused to stay here. This was a typical example of foreign owners who are running this hotel into the ground with no intent to update, improve or even maintain the property.” Apr 18, 2008 by
Jeffrey from Binghamton, NY
“This hotel was good in a pinch. Other hotels were full in the area and it sufficed. Hotel staff didn't know the area well. We asked for a Wal-Mart or Target and they said there wasn't one low and behold we found a Wal-Mart a few blocks away. Same thing with McDonalds. The staff was friendly, just not from the area apparently.” Dec 19, 2007 by
Roger from Ashland, MA
“A mixed bag, but a decent price.” Oct 11, 2007 by
Bruce (. from Lisbon, CT
“It was over rated, but personnel were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, and the room although it needed some repair, was clean.” Sep 7, 2007 by
Rachel from Brooklyn, NY
“Its location was nice, but we did not get the type of room we reserved, the room was dirty and smelled bad.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Eric from Gaithersburg, MD
“This hotel was horrible. I don't mind staying in a dive, but I expect a chain hotel to have little better standards than that. Room smelled horrible when I entered it, the bathroom door didn't shut properly. Random cigarette burns in the curtains and lampshades and on the bed. Burns in the floor from the iron - Who does that?” Jun 13, 2007 by
Sandra from Windsor, MA
“It was dirty and was bear. It looked like a jail. Breakfast was not bad but other then that I felt like I was in a penitentiary. Hotel was not very good looked like something you would see in a horror film. Bring your own soap it smells bad. No hairdryer. If you are above 6 foot you would not fit in the shower. There was an adult exclusive channel that my children found and that was not good. Overall I would never stay there again it was terrible.” May 15, 2007 by
Tawana from Norwlak, CT
“I would only stay at this hotel or an Econo Hotel again if I was desperate.” Apr 19, 2007 by
Angel from Windsor Locks, CT

“Free breakfast, rooms clean with easy access.” Mar 3, 2007 by
Jess from St. Louis, MO
“There was such a strong smell we couldn't place, and thought the trays of stuff behind the dresser could have been a bunch of really gross air freshener, but they looked like ant poison trays, the towels didn't seem cleaned, there were holes in the walls, and there was a bunch of tape hanging off the lamps that had remnants of crepe paper hanging off it, guess the last people had a party. It was however decent priced and in a seemingly safe area, and conveniently close to Yale where I was visiting.” Feb 21, 2007 by
Latisha P. from Bridgeport, CT
“The hotel room was very good for the price that I paid for it. The room had a funny odor like the rug or there were some wet towels left there for awhile. Overall it was okay.” Nov 17, 2006 by
Priscilla from Quispamsis, NB CA
“It looks like they are renovating so I think it will improve. The front of the hotel is nice but the back is "less than attractive". The staff was friendly and helpful. It seemed that there were new owners from any other time I stayed thereżd.” Oct 18, 2006 by
Catalina from Freeport, ME
“It was better than I expected. Great price.” Sep 29, 2006 by
Nancy from Mathews, VA
“Clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was great.” Sep 13, 2006 by
Bobbie from Sanbornville, NH
“One star - OK for short money; Rt. 95 construction just outside. Hotel circa 1960's?Very basic. Bulletproof glass at reception desk, but didn't seem to be a bad area.” Aug 21, 2006 by
Denise from Norwalk, CT
“This hotel is NOT at all what I expected for a 1-star hotel. I was not expecting all the bells and whistles of say a Marriott but I was not expecting a brothel either. The attendant wanted to charge us $35.00 for checking in an hour before check in time although that fee was not posted anywhere The place was seedy, the carpets reeked of musk and carpet cleaner powder (a horrible combination). The staff was unkind and unfriendly. It looked as though the staff (probably part owners of this place) were family members who slept on sight. The "FREE" continental breakfast was a joke!” Aug 1, 2006 by
Tyler from Lafayette, IN
“This hotel is located conveniently next to a bus line just off the freeway and near to food and shopping. The rooms are well-maintained and clean and the staff is attentive.” Jun 19, 2006 by
Yixian from Rochester, NY
“That is clean, big space, comfortable, convenient very reasonable price. This year we will visit Yale University for a couple of times and we'll definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you.” May 19, 2006 by
Brandon from Omaha, NE
“For what I spent it was not bad. Everyone there was helpful. The hotel was fairly clean and safety did not seem to be an issue.” Dec 18, 2005 by

“Conveniently located right by interstate 95, it is easy to get to and leave. The staff is friendly. However, the room was cold when I first stepped in and the heater was not enough to warm up the place until hours later, when the temperature became bareable to sleep in. There are no iron in the room, which leaves a business traveler like me with wrinkled shirts for my clients (not a good look).” Nov 8, 2005 by
Melissa from Hoboken, NJ
“The lobby and other common areas were run down and dingy. The room itself was more comfortable, but the walls were so thin that we could hear the people upstairs and conversations from next door.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 26, 2005 by

“Granted I should have called before we went there but when I plugged in 3 people we should have had 2 beds. Staff was not accomidating in this matter, except to finally give us a roll-a-way that my 40 year old daughter had to sleep on when there were other rooms with 2 beds in them.Walls were paper thin, we were on bottom floor and we heard the people above us walking dropping things and making noices most of the night. When taking a shower water flooded the bathroom.Would not give me a receipt for staying there. All in all was not very pleased.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 15, 2005 by

“Room was clean, housekeeping good, unfriendly desk clerk, dark parking lot, rooms in rear of motel, no elevator, overall dinginess of outside of hotel, construction on the road,” May 30, 2005 by
Rex from Killeen, TX
“remember this is an old hotel; clean accomodations; courteous staff and good breakfast” May 6, 2005 by
Brenda from Manhattan, KS
“OK for one night, but didn't entirely feel safe.”
