• Comfy bed and couch.
• Smells outside and carpet in our room was sticky.

“One side of the parking lot smells like septic, same as one year ago. Don't park your car there.”

• The bellman was extremely helpful, as were the breakfast servers.
• The bedding was used and had to be remade with fresh linen.

“If you don't mind a lot of ill mannered children running around alone, without parental supervision. Then this area is for you.”

• Clean, comfortable rooms. Helpful staff. Pool area clean as well.

“This hotel seems well run. My room was very good, but my parents room was somewhat noisy over the hotel's bar on Saturday night. The lobby was large and comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel to others.”

• Rooms and common areas of the hotel were very clean and well maintained.
• Nothing!

“Pros - This hotel is an excellent value. It is well kept in and around the hotel. The rooms and interior of the hotel common areas are very clean. Nothing is broken and everything works as though it is brand new. Complementary coffee, tea and cocoa was available for 24 hours with cookies and fruit Mon-Thurs evenings. Free internet access with printer was available in the lobby as well. Access to the highway and local streets is excellent. Two major restaurants share the hotel property. Although we didn't use it, the Long Island Railroad station is in very close proximity to the hotel with complimentary hotel shuttle service. We would definitely stay here again.”

• No complimentary continental breakfast.

“This hotel was well managed in every sense of the word. We were invited back by our friends for a party at Flushing Meadows in Queens, NY on 5/17/09. We would like to stay at a comparable hotel for a senior couple. We would like Nassau or Western Suffolk County, NY for check in on 5/16/09 and check out on 5/18/09.”

• Clean, wireless internet, felt safe.
• Service is very slow.

“Hotel was clean and safe but service was very slow. Requested towels 2 days in a row. Once at pool and once for room. Both times had to wait half hour and call again before receiving them almost an hour later. Also in lobby requested luggage cart waited 20 minutes, requested again and was told she forgot to call for it.”

“This hotel is conveniently located near the LIRR and Macarthur airport with free shuttle service available to both. It is clean and the service is fast and friendly. On site pool, lounge, cafe and computer service makes this hotel an easy choice.”

• Desk staff was very helpful and accommodating with special requests.
• Canned music near the elevators.

“The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful, and the bar was attractive and well stocked. My group was traveling for a wedding, but families with children and more time would have loved the indoor pool. We were very satisfied.”

• I asked for early check in and late checkout, and it was ok cleaning people were great.
• The ice buckets were not clean (looked like mold on the top part), and the carpet could be replaced.

“I thought it was a very nice hotel I thought coffee at 6 is great but not at 7 on weekends I would like to have coffee as early as possible mostly I enjoyed my stay.”

• The elevators were very slow, the staff was not very friendly, they couldn't reset the key card until the third try.

• The lack of a complimentary breakfast.

“We enjoyed our stay; however definitely feel that a complimentary breakfast should have been available. The large buffet available was too expensive and too much food for travelers needing just a continental style meal. Considering there are no near by breakfast options - the lack of the complementary continental meal was a definite detriment.”

• The doors shut quietly - no slamming!

“This was such a nice hotel. I loved the doors to the room - they shut very slowly and quietly, no slamming. The staff was helpful and pleasant, the room was large and well maintained. I will definitely stay there again.”

• The location is a touch tricky to find, but not too bad.

“Exceptional Marriott Courtyard with queen sized beds. My husband and I were traveling with our 2 grown children and were very comfortable in this room. Although continental breakfast was not included, there was a restaurant on the premises. We chose to keep drinks and fruit in our fridge and found a great bagel shop nearby.”

• Upon entering hotel, smelled pot in lobby entrance, and disturbed entire night due to parties in rooms.

“I submitted a complaint after stay with details of experience and awaiting response to complaint. While I cannot blame the hotel, the hotel is overall responsible for conduct of guests, and ensuring other guests are not impacted by others' negative behavior.”

• There was no smoking allowed except outside the hotel.

“The hotel was immaculate, clean and very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Location was very good. Two other restaurants located outside the hotel which we did not get to dine at but it was nice to have a little variety close (walking distance) just outside the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.”

• There was not enough parking, do to restaurants that where close to hotel. Restaurant patrons used hotel parking at night.

• Noise was loud walls are very thin can hear the TV in the rooms across the halls.

“I checked in to MU room around 6:30 pm drop my bags off and ran out the door. I have a brother in the hospital and I wanted to see him before visiting hours were over. I came back to the room around 11:30pm. I showered around 12 am. As I am showering to my surprise I realize my bathtub was not cleaned at all by the cleaning staff as a toothpick was left where I placed my soap. Needless to say I was very upset. On my way out I complained to the manager, who said she would take care of it. Well I guess she did, she sent up a "little" care package of 2 water bottles and a free breakfast. I showered in a dirty tub and that's how you compensate. No thank you I will never stay or recommend this hotel never!”

• Hotel card readers are buggy. I was locked out of my own room and locked out of the pool!

“The staff is very friendly and nice. The hotel is smoke free which is great. There's free internet and cable TV. It can get pretty noisy sometimes. If people talk in the hallway, you can hear it in the room. I didn't get much sleep the first night of my stay.”

• Clean, attractive, comfortable room; personable front-desk staff; nice pool. Loved the all-hours mini-mart!
• Breakfast in restaurant so-so quality and overpriced. Ironing board in room 325 needs replacement.

“My family and I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. The key elements were their-reasonable price per New York/Long Island standards; room was attractive and very clean; comfortable beds; safe, convenient location and parking; friendly, professional front-desk staff; pool, hot tub, gym were nice, with generous open hours. Our favorite item was the in-lobby mini-mart type snack bar, where you could buy snacks and beverages anytime and just bring them to the front desk to be charged to your room. It was very nice, as weary, out-of-state travelers, not to have to search out a 7-11 after arriving off-hours, having driven 250 miles with a 7-year-old (why haven't more hotels thought of this? Our family of three, happily spent $30 at the mini-mart in just 36 hours!) Overall, a good value for the travel dollar. We would stay at the courtyard Marriott Long Island Macarthur again.”

“Room service took two hours and was wrong twice. housekeepers stole my gold chain and pendant. people partying next door and hotel management did nothing about the noise. worst hotel stay ever.”

• The hotel was very nice and very peaceful.
• The bathroom was huge but the sink was very small and no place to put our stuff.

“We were genuinely surprised with the quality of this hotel. It was a lot further out than we would have hoped to have stayed and it was a bit inconvenient trying to get back onto the highway but the hotel was very nice and the staff was exceptional.”

• THE MATTRESS WAS THE BEST AND MOST COMFORTABLE WE HAVE EVER HAD we slept very well...

“We were in town for a family gathering and a graduation, I only wish we could have stayed in our room more and also wish we had more time to enjoy the pool, the kids loved that part! The rooms were very clean, quiet and dark when shades were drawn so we could sleep in extra long! It was an EXCELLENT choice, we were offered another hotel stay for free (on them) from a relative, but I'm glad we paid for this one ourselves as we got the rest we needed between "gatherings!”

“Nice clean hotel very modern, nice to have a computer in the lobby for use. Location is off the highway nothing nearby. Red Lobster and Barbecue place to eat. About a 10 minute walk to Lirr transit station. Hotel provides a free shuttle their or the airport very nice. I asked for a ride to train station and must have been busy and called a cab for me instead. Overall, a nice place to stay.”
