• The facilities are great.
• The staff is obviously accustomed to servicing a specific type of person. Diversity training should be on their to do list for their staff.

• The hotel staff was very professional and extremely helpful.

• Terrible (soft) mattress - we both had sore backs after our stay.

• The bed was so comfortable. The furniture in the room was nice.
• No fridge or microwave in the rooms. If you requested one, there was no guarantee you would get one. The signs in the hallways were wrong.

“My hotel stay was great. The bed was so comfortable and the linens were crisp. The view was nice and it was relaxing. The only issues I had is they don't have rooms with a fridge & microwave. If you request one, there's no guarantee you'll get one. The hot tub looked like I hadn't been cleaned in a year. It would be nice if they updated the signs (that direct you to your room) in the hallways.”

• Would prefer that you didn't have to ask for microwave and that it be included in all rooms. It didn't have brochures for immediate local attractions.

“The grounds were well kept as was the hotel. The parking areas were well lit. It was conveniently located to retail stores and eateries. I especially like the fact that it is a non-smoking facility!”

• They were doing construction in the rooms.
• It was noisy with staff on the 2nd floor in the early mornings.

“When they finish their renovations they will be great. However, one should be aware that with the room renovations going on, they are doing work in the mornings. So, if you wish to sleep late then do-not stay.”

• The bed was comfortable and beautifully appointed.
• There was no mini-fridge or microwave in the room and the door rattled noisily.

“This Marriott is an older hotel that is in the process of renovation. That may be why it seemed to be a little disappointing compared to other Marriott's where I have stayed. I'd be willing to give it another shot after the improvements are complete.”

• As always staff was friendly and it is very comfortable.
• Can not believe that Marriot still charges for internet service. I stay in hotels all over the world and Marriot is the only one still charging for in.

“Staff always has a smile and warm greeting. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I have eaten at the restaurant in the past the food is okay, over priced but okay.”

• I thought the king-sized bed, pillows, and duvet were comfortable and luxurious. The patio was a nice surprise.
• I thought the sheet thread count was substandard.

• Rooms were comfortable and larger than expected.
• Noise from hotel construction.

“This hotel is great. I imagine the prices will skyrocket when the renovations are completed in June 2008. The hotel lobby bar is nice, the salad I had wasn't too great but the burgers looked good. Nice business center to use internet for free. Printer wasn't working but that's ok. Rooms were spacious enough to spread out a little. Make sure to ask what floor construction is being done one if you want to sleep in. They were obviously laying hardwood floors directly over my head the morning , wanted to sleep in.”

• The friendly and helpful service of the staff.
• The rooms are outdated.

“I love staying at this hotel! The ambiance in there is wonderful with candles burning and at night the smell of freshly baked cookies is wonderful. They are in the midst of renovating so I didn't get to sleep in but was awakened to a drill and hammering on a Saturday morning but the rooms will be nice and refreshed once they are finished updating so I am looking forward to seeing the outcome.”

• They still charge for internet service; even third world countries do not charge for wireless service. It is like having a bed with no pillow.

• The staff was wonderful. The front desk also had cookies, apples and hot cider in the afternoon.
• Small, cold pool. Not a lot around the neighborhood.

“We stayed at the Trumbull Marriott while in town for a sporting tournament. It was quiet, clean and friendly. The front desk provided hot cider, cookies and fresh apples in the afternoon, which we much appreciated. The staff was very friendly, always saying hello, and very kind to my two little kids, despite being a hotel catering to the business traveler. My kids loved the hot tub, because the small regular pool was much too cold for them. There isn't a whole lot to do around the neighborhood, except for a Target, upscale grocery and strip mall. We had to drive 10 min away for chain restaurants and much further for other diversions.”

• The hotel lobby was decorated nicely.
• The hotel rooms looked as if it belonged to a Days Inn.

“I was checked in by the Asst Hotel Manager. She was quite pleasant. The housekeeping staff was quite helpful by locating my power cord to my laptop that I left behind. For the price I paid I guess it was reasonable. Other than that it was a good stay.”

“When I checked in, I was advised that the hotel was overbooked. I was given a hospitality suite (for meetings). There was no bed. I had to wait an hour for a roll up cot to be provided. I am positive that I was singled out, over other quests checking in.”

• The restaurant is over priced. Parking is sometimes far away from the hotel.

• They treated us to a free Sunday brunch.
• Floor was flooded by window, called hotel full no other rooms available.

“Beds were not comfortable, bathroom was not real clean, carpet was wet in front of the window, when we call about was just told hotel was full, kids were playing in the hallway with bag transporter, hitting walls this was after 11 pm, had to call security for this, not a great trip.”

“I always enjoy staying at the Trumbull Marriott. Initial impression is always welcoming and sophisticated. After that, you are left on your own. This is a quality hotel with a friendly staff. I would like a little "something" with the morning coffee as there is little time for me to eat before I leave.”

“There was no concierge which would have been helpful as a tourist looking for areas of interest. Dinner was good, but breakfast was not edible: artificial waffles, artificial maple syrup, artificial whipped cream, even artificial strawberry sauce. The eggs were from a carton.”

• One bank of elevators. Had to walk 100 yards to our room.
