• The fresh warm cookies at check in.
• It was far from the lake.

“The room was clean and comfortable. Although it was a bit small. Room service ended at 11:00 pm which was just when were getting back to the room. I would certainly go back!”

• Superb staff; very attentive to our every need, plenty of staff always on duty, nice rooms.

“Great place to stay for the price we paid. We used their workout room both days we were there. Starbucks directly across the street and great place to buy wine next to it called Cheese Traders.”

• Room accommodations and appointments were very good as were beds.
• No king beds avail at check in.

“Burlington Doubletree met all expectations. Very clean rooms, good staff. I left computer items in room and staff recovered them quickly upon my calling hotel and held for pick up.”

“As far as Burlington goes, this is probably the nicest hotel in the area. The staff is friendly & helpful, the shuttle is free and will take you anywhere, internet is free, printing is free, and the business center is free.”

• Nothing. The staff was rude.
• The staff was rude. They made me stay in smoking room even though non-smoking was available.

“This staff was very rude, they treated me differently than other guests. They would not move me from smoking to non-smoking even though they were available. My room smelled like an ashtray and the smoking rooms are way in the back of the hotel. It is like you have some contagious disease. You can smell the smoke when you enter the wing that houses the smoking rooms. It was a terrible experience. Lastly, although minor they did not even offer me the warm cookie that is the trademark of Doubletree. They were giving them to everyone else who checked in and when I asked for one they said oh you want a cookie.”

• The help was very friendly and accommodating.
• The rooms with two double beds were pretty small.

“The hotel is nice and in a good location. The staff vas very friendly and the overall experience were enjoyable. I would not hesitate to go back to the Double Tree should I come back to Burlington.”

• The comfy bed and wireless internet!

“Hotel was amazing! I love Double Trees! This happened to us (quite a problem since my husband and I are allergic), but the hotel was able to move us into a non-smoking room.”

• The location was a mile from where we were visiting so very convenient.
• The room was very small, and faced directly out onto the parking lot.

• Nice location. The linens were lovely and the beds really comfortable.
• The smoking rooms were horridly smelly.

“The hotel was nice. Not as grand as the Sheraton down the street and the pool is small and only 5 feet deep. The beds were comfortable. The restaurant was very modest.”

• Lobby is nice, hotel restaurant food is good.
• People at front desk not helpful or cooperative.

“Hotel is well located, and clean, except for the corridors were being renovated so they were very messy. Staff were not very cooperative they gave us a smoking room, two beds, my wife is asthmatic and needed a non-smoking room. Even if room were available they didn't want to give us one because they wanted to have them for clients paying more money for the room as the smoking ones are the less popular.”

“I would have liked connecting rooms which they did not offer and the renovation of the hotel was not attractive but the location was right where we needed it and the staff was very helpful and friendly.”

• I did not like this hotel. This is not a 3 star hotel.
• Looks dirty and the room had bad odor.

“I would not recommend this hotel. The hotel needs major renovation. Listening to a dog barking in the hallway during the night was annoying. This falls short of being a three star hotel.”

• Room smelled disgusting, smoke, cigarette holes in curtains.

“Staff tried to assist, I had called prior requesting a no smoking room, but when I arrived I was told it was not possible. I had a seven year old with me and she was affected by smoke. They did try and they tell me they ionized the room, but I am not sure for there was little difference. Hard to believe that smoking rooms still exist.”

• Same location as seminar, good restaurant, easy access to highway.
• Smallest bathroom every, smoking room, noisy.

“This is a former Ramada and truly not of Double Tree standards. Rooms are small and bathroom with toilet and tub was so small I had to turn sideways to shut door. Could hear phones ringing in adjacent rooms. Good restaurant, good location.”

• Warm cookies were a nice touch.
• TV was old.

“Had an emergency fire at 5:30am and had to leave the building for 20-30 minutes. Hard to get back to sleep, checked-out at 9 and when I asked about it they offered us a free breakfast in their restaurant.”

• The location and staff assistance was very accommodating for all our needs.
• The hotel could use some renovations. This seems to be a popular tourist destination and more attractive accommodations would have been nice.

• We had to keep after the house keeping staff for towels and coffee and the amenities that go with them.
