• Kitchen with full size refrigerator.
• Asked for smoking room with queen bed, got non-smoking double bed.

“Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location is a little farther from SoNo than I would have liked but it was less than 15 minutes by car.”

• The kitchenette facilities were a real convenience.
• The steep and winding access road could be a danger if there are reckless drivers coming in the opposite direction.

“The accommodations are clean and comfortable, and rooms are equipped with the conveniences of a kitchenette. With only three levels, elevator service is quick and responsive.”

• The rooms were clean and the location was convenient.
• The room reeked of cigarette smoke and the bed and pillows were hard as a rock.

“You get what you pay for, and this hotel was worth the $55.00 that I paid. Overall, it wasn't bad for a one night stay, but I wouldn't want to be there for more than two nights. The location was great, the check-in clerk was VERY helpful and courteous. Downside was that the bed was very uncomfortable and the room reeked of cigarette smoke.”

• Very good and friendly staff/front desk.
• Need to have better quality towels and inventory in kitchen lots of items are missing. for i.e. somecc rooms have pots/pans next rooms they are missing.

• Great kitchenette.
• My room was bitter cold that night. I have had that problem before here too.

“There is no better buy for your money than Homestead Suites. Kitchenette is great, room is nice and feels like home. Only complaint is that I have had trouble several times getting heat in my room. Vastly better than the Four Points down the block.”

• It was close to my destination.
• Halls smell funny, rooms are small, no amenities, no shampoo in the room.

“Its like stepping back in time, the hall smell, the rooms are small, bring your own shampoo. They do not provide anything. The coffee was not bad, otherwise stay somewhere else.”

• I liked being able to fix my own meals and iron my shirts.
• I missed having an oven of some sort. Spatulas/turners need to be replaced occasionally.

• No pool.

“The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our children, as well as us. Unfortunately, all of their rooms have only one queen bed, but they made sure the gave us a room with a pull out sofa. It worked out well.”

• The kitchen was a bonus, close to Merritt parkway and stores.
• People making noise at 4am.

“This is a great value hotel, the kitchen is stocked with the necessities, there are stores nearby including 24 hr drugstore. The staff was friendly, the only criticism was that requested a non smoking room, not an option when purchasing and the room we got stunk of smoke, the window was wide open, on a cold night, and it looked like the cleaners hadn't been through it yet, fortunately they had a better room, it was no big problem switching, the new room had the heat cranked up; we ended up having to put the AC on to get it reasonable. All in all we would stay there again.”

“Suprised to find front desk closed when we arrived at 11:30 pm, but clerk was alerted to our presence by phone and we registered within minutes. Grounds and room were very clean. No shampoo - perhaps because it was an extended stay facility?”

• Has kitchen facilities which is very convenient
• Hotel could not find my reservation. BIG MESS

“Hotel could not find my reservation upon check in. I had no option but to pay the regular rack rate after arguing that my negotiated price was much lower. 10 minutes after finally getting into my handicap room, the front desk called and said they had found my reservation. Very annoying and rude hotel staff. Did not even apologize for the inconvenience.”

• The staff was very frindly and helpful The room was large spaces and very clean. It was just perfect.

“The location was perfect the hotel it was 5 mintues away from my home and Iwas surprise to know that there was a place like this one so close to my home. I would stay there again and agin when I come in to town.”

• I believe a 2 star hotel should provide Daily Maid Service, this hotel does not.

“I've worked in the Stamford, CT area for the past couple of years although I live in Houston, TX. So I live in Hotels 48-50 weeks of the year. I've stayed in the Homestead Suites in Norwalk about 5 times over the last couple of months. I'm not to picky when it's just me, I'm strictly looking for a good price. When my family comes along I stay somewhere else. ”

“Very steep drive with several hairpin turns on slush & ice was scary. Main Street Norwalk stretches the length of Norwalk with many convolutions- hard to follow - did not know hotel next to Merritt Pkwy till cop led us there.”

• Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Fully equipped kitchenette with coffeemaker, dishes, etc.
• From 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. no one at the desk.

“I would stay here again. Very quiet area, friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms - even when you walked into the room (we are smokers & stayed in a smoking room) it didn't smell like old stale smoke. Lots of stores close by for anything you might need or forgot to bring with you. Restaurants close by, easy access to all travel routes.”

• It was very clean, comfortable and had all the amenities I wanted. Would stay there again and recommend it to others. Staff was great!

“For extended stay, this is an excellent choice. It had all the amenities necessary (kitchen, high speed internet access, laundry, etc.) to make life easy away from home. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely cordial and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience.”

“This hotel is located right off the Merritt Parkway and near Rt 95. It's clean and comfortable. The beds aren't as firm as I would like them. The noise from other levels can be annoying. It's definitely a good value as hotels in this area are very pricey. The closer you get to New York the prices are always higher.”
