“I would recommend the Inn to anyone. Well located to explore the north shore of Long Island. Good restaurants and bakeries nearby.” Dec 12, 2008 by
Scotter from Olney,MD
“I enjoyed staying at the east Norwich inn and I'd stay there again. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a pleasant, quiet, homey place to stay in the Northern Nassau county area. The staff was friendly, parking was easy. There is an excellent steakhouse right next door. The room was basic, but fine and very clean.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Lynn from Hamburg, NY
“The hotel is a great place for a quick get-away or for a longer stay. Rooms are quiet, no hall noise or room noises heard at all. I'd stay here again, for sure!” Jun 28, 2008 by
Dr. C. from La Grange, IL
“I subsequently had a medical emergency with my daughter and had no way to call out and front desk staff would not do anything without me making a trip to the lobby. While rooms were clean, they were poorly maintained with cracks in walls, bathroom door coming off hinge, moldy grout, etc and some staff was overtly surly.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Charles from South Riding, VA
“Value was good for the area. The room itself was very clean and included a refrigerator. I would say not to be put off by the fact that this is not a big hotel chain. Be wary about the fact that the hotel states it charges a 30% mark-up on local and long distance calls made from the room, although, in reality, I was not charged for the 1 local phone call I made. Good for business or pleasure and quite a few great local restaurants.” Jan 29, 2008 by
John from Coventry, RI
“Staff was helpful and friendly. Nice location for NY travel east, west or south (hotel is already north).” Dec 2, 2007 by
Ha from Quincy, MA
“I stayed here for a business trip to Long Island. The price was very affordable and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the room. The staff was also very friendly and pleasant to work with and continental breakfast was fresh. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable clean place to stay for business and are on a budget.” Nov 19, 2007 by
John from Prospect, KY
“A nice enough place to stay. Next to a great steak restaurant. Breakfast (complimentary) was adequate. Nice enough.” Aug 20, 2007 by
Kathleen from Sharon Hill, PA
“Nice quiet place, clean. Nice room for the continental breakfast. Easy to get to different highways.” Aug 19, 2007 by
Craig from Pompano Beach, FL
“I liked the hotel, but I think it was further away from my desired location.” Aug 13, 2007 by
Kathy from Corona, CA
“I didn't realize we were in a busy traffic area - the hotel is a country inn nestled in a wooded area. Perfect for long walks. A wonderful restaurant is on the premises, separate from the hotel - very exclusive fine dining. Highly recommend this hotel for” May 12, 2007 by
Joe from Ballwin, MO
“I was reasonably happy with the hotel because it was comfortable, quiet, and affordable. However, it is not well-suited for most business travelers because of the lack of on-site dining and no internet access in the rooms.” May 6, 2007 by
George M. from Bedminster, NJ
“It is pleasant, very clean and quiet. The neighborhood is also very pleasant. I would certainly consider staying there again.” Apr 10, 2007 by
Kim from Eagle, CO
“I grew up on long island and understand the demand simply isn't there, but perhaps if a convenient location such as the east Norwich inn would remodel the hotel and turn it into a motel-style facility.” Dec 9, 2006 by
Marc from St Petersburg, FL
“Being a smoker - it's always disappointing to get booked into a non-smoking facility - but the staff here found me a room with a French door - making their policy far more livable for me. The hotel is charming, but needs some infrastructural updating. The phone system is primitive and sort of expensive to use (although - I have run into far worse). The rooms could use more electrical outlets - today's travelers bring a lot of rechargeable devices with them, and I had to do w/o a couple of lamps to deal with it. Neither of my cell phones worked there (t-mobile and sprint). Overall - pretty good - nice folks and a pretty facility.” Sep 14, 2006 by
Emanuel from Montclair, NJ
“Although the hotel is rated 2 stars, it is certainly at the high end of that category. The business center is great, with free Internet access and a few computer workstations set up. The fitness center is a relatively large room, much bigger than fitness centers at many 4 star hotels. However, this hotel has not yet taken advantage of this great space -- there is room for many more machines, and they should utilize that. There is an outdoor pool which I didn't have time to use. Cable television in each room with lots of channels. They have a nice breakfast included with your stay. The only thing I would have liked is a choice of soy milk instead of only dairy milk at breakfast, but that's my quirk. They had bagels and muffins, cold cereals, several juices, fresh fruit, coffee and tea. I would stay there again.” Sep 1, 2006 by
Herb from Gainesville, FL
“Clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Good location for access to major highways. Good continental breakfast (American style). Easy access. Adequate free parking.” Aug 28, 2006 by
David from York, ME
“Dark, drab, no web access, except in the business center, poor cell coverage inside building. No covered loading unloading, so my things got soaked in the rain. I would not stay there again traveling on business - way too expensive for what you get.” Nov 27, 2005 by
Manjit from Arlington, TX
“I consider this hotel very good for business travelers as I cater all there needs. Except there is no T-Mobile signal out there as it is in Sub Urban area. But if you have car, this hotel is very good as it is only 2 miles away from market.” Nov 13, 2005 by
Seena G. from Washington, DC
“Good location, if you have a car, in a very nice area of Long Island. Staff particularly rude and unhelpful during contacts on the telephone (pre-visit) and during stay. I was traveling with an elderly aunt and would have preferred a first-floor room, since there were no elevators. Although the hotel was clearly empty, the car was late in the morning and evening. We were put on the second floor, up a high staircase with no elevator access. The rooms were clean although the bathrooms were iffy, all in keeping with a 2 star rating.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 13, 2005 by

“Old world hotel charm, well equipped rooms, very satisfactory stay, a significant value on Long Island.” Oct 10, 2005 by

“Breakfast was unexpected surprise, overall a very clean well managed hotel. My stay was pleasant. I would not hesitate to stay there again.”
