• The hotel is nice.
• The room was small and was not well maintained.

“The public areas are nice and very accommodating. However, my room was not fit for a 2 star hotel. I have stayed in this hotel before and my other room was much nicer. As for this stay, I might as well have been in a Super 8.”

• Nice outdoor pool area, mall and restaurants adjacent.

“This is our 3rd time at the hotel and weve always enjoyed it. Our only unfortunate incident was that there was a very loud wedding after-party in the suite across the hall from us. Had to call downstairs for security and they did not act aggressively enough since we were kept up for 2+ hours. Fortunately this is not indicative of the hotel and we will return to enjoy the nice outdoor pool area and fitness center. Nice selection of restaurants and shops across the street in Stamford Mall.”

• The staff was extremely friendly.
• The room was filthy. I kept my sox on the entire time.

“I have stayed at the hotel three different times. The hotel is being renovated, so I was put in a room that was not updated, and it was extremely outdated, dirty. The staff is very friendly, allowing me to check in early (10 a.m.!) and check out late (1 p.m.). The hotel is conveniently located, just across the street are a variety of new, trendy restaurants and a nice sized mall. My only complaint was the room. Fortunately, I was just there to sleep, shower.”

• The beds were the most comfortable of any hotel I've ever stayed in.
• The bathroom was very cramped, although nicely appointed.

“I was very impressed with the hotel and its staff. I've never slept better in a hotel and the staff was first rate. The room was well appointed and exceptionally clean. My only issue was that the bathroom was rather cramped.”

• The parking is now $10 a day for guests.

“This hotel is comfortable and the rooms are nice and comfortable. It has a beautiful lobby and it has a concierge as well. It has a mall across the street and it is near the freeway and not too far from the train. I stay here every time I come to the Greenwich area.”

• Friendly, accommodating, helpful, cooperative and went-out-of-their-way.
• Parking difficult, problem with first room, and check-out time a little later.

“I was graduating from college; I needed to find reliable, safe and convenient lodging for my older relatives. This answered my dreams. They have back problems and were able to be well-rested and relaxed on their own in the room. The beds were extremely comfortable. I didn't have to worry about their security and safety. There was a problem with the first room, but the staff without hesitation and disagreement changed rooms and answered all questions in a friendly and gracious manner. I was so impressed by the staff's friendliness and willingness to assist me and my aunts that would recommend staying there again to all of my friends and relatives. In fact, I have to book another room at the end of the month and hope I can get the same location.”

• Helpful pleasant staff every area. Front desk to domestic. Great business center. Comfy room, great beds.
• Nothing really, the rooms and hall carpets a little tired, tub needed refacing but I think they are in the middle of upgrading renovation.

“Comfortable safe hotel. The staff was very helpful and informative. The rooms were clean but a little tired. The tub needed refacing or replacing the bathroom door needed to be redone or painted. However, the overall experience was great. A beautiful mall across the street. Easy off and on the freeway. On site indoor parking. (Fee of 10.00 per day) a little steep, maybe they could have offered a weekly rate?! We were there for 1 week. Over all experience a good one. A totally smoke free hotel!”

• Charged for parking! Poor ventilation in bathroom and mirror fogged up when taking shower.

Also, poor ventilation in the bathroom; steam accumulates and mirror fogs up when taking a shower. They sent a maintenance worker to the room and he said that the vent system was operating normally.”

• Dated hotel that has not seen any money invested in it.

“Hotel is located along I-95 and has easy access to and from the highway. The high visibility and easy access is all this property has going for it. The rooms are very dated. The wall paper in the bathroom of my room was a flashback to the late 70's. It appears no money has been spent in updating the property.”

• The room was good. The bed was very comfortable.
• There were not enough outlets, so they had to use extension cords. I had to get on the floor to unplug a lamp to get the fridge to work.

“Overall, the hotel was fine. The one saving grace was the bed. It was cushioned nicely. The staff was nice and they had Starbucks coffee for sale in the hotel. You are in walking distance to a huge mall and some great restaurants.”

• Could not believe how nice this hotel was for the price I paid. I kind of felt bad for the people who paid full price. A very positive experience.
• Had to pay for internet access. I've stayed at much lower rated hotels that provide the service for free, so it was surprising to have to pay.

“Very nice hotel. Set up to cater to the business traveler, but nice enough to stay in for a leisure traveler as well. All on-site amenities met my expectations, with the exception of having to pay $10 a day for internet access. Probably geared more towards the business traveler who can just expense the charge. But overall a very positive experience.”

• I like the friendly efficient staff.
• The maids on occasion ignore the Do Not Disturb sign.

“The hotel is overall great. For business travelers the hotel should have more computers available and the internet should be free like some other hotels, for example The Holiday Inn Select. Also, I think the parking fee is outrageous. Ten dollars it cost to park there. It's taking advantage of guests, who have no other choice. Then when you park out in front of the hotel, a bellman harasses you by asking you how long are you going to park there. It's quite annoying and unnecessary. Thanks.”

• The bathroom could have been cleaned properly.

“The hotel was good but the toilet was blocked and the bathroom countertop could have been wiped down a bit better otherwise not bad for the Stamford area. I have stayed at other Marriott but this one doesn't really compare to the standard that I am use to.”

• I accidentally locked myself out of the room and this problem was solved promptly.
• The housekeeping staff knocks on my door before 9am and 3 xs after that and had no record the I was staying another night.

“In general with the exception of the disturbance from the housekeeping staff, I enjoyed my stay. And I will visit again.”

“The hotel room should have been a storage area. There are four of these rooms on every floor. That means at least 48 guests every night they fill the hotel will have a reason NOT to come back to that hotel. Manager of the hotel was not responsive to our plight. Offered an upgrade the next time we booked his hotel. ARE YOU KIDDING?”

“For a Friday night I thought the bar stopped serving food too early. I needed something to eat and couldn't get it. The walls were very thin and I could hear people in the next room. Hard to sleep with so much noise.”

• Very convenient location in Stamford.
• Parking is expensive, also sometimes hard to find a spot.

“Very nice hotel for high-end business travelers, right in Downtown Stamford. Easy parking next to hotel, but costs $10 and sometimes you have to go up several levels to find a spot, then walk to elevator which connects to lobby area which still a little distance from main desk. Has free newspapers (USA Today at door in morning and local Connecticut stuff in lobby), as well as container of fresh water with sliced apples by front desk. Nice spa next door, although I didn't use it. Rooms are very nice with very big windows (floor to ceiling) with a nice view of Stamford/I-95 (if you consider those things nice to look at!). Wired and wireless Internet access in rooms, but for a small fee.”

• The Lobby is very attractive. The bar and restaurant are great.
• I was told the restaurant on the top floor shut down. I usually dined there when staying there with my boyfriend. I was looking forward to this.

“This hotel is very clean and attractive. It offers everything you could want in a hotel. Is in great location, near nice restaurants bars and clubs, a mall, and right down the street from the train station. NYC is nearby. It is great for all travelers whether business, leisure, or family.”

• The beds are very comfortable, an extremely important part of any hotel.
• I had asked for a late check out when I called but it was not set up when I confirmed the following morning.

“A very nice hotel in a good location. There really is not a lot of consistency with the staff. The woman who checked me in was friendly and efficient but the one I spoke to on the phone was ditzy and did not schedule my late check out as she told me she had. One woman in the coffee shop was great and one was not so friendly. The rooms are always comfortable and clean and overall it is a very nice hotel.”

• A bit worn wood work is nicked, garage is under construction.

“This turned out to be in a nice location for my week of work. I was walking distance away. The Stamford Town Center is very close with many good restaurants. The price was good, the room was good. I would like to stay again at that price.”

“It was a great location because it was near to the mall and Downtown Stamford but the room was filthy, stains on the furniture and the room just wasnt welcoming. The lounge was good and the place didnt look rundown.”
