• The hotel was very difficult to navigate.

• Nice wooded area, easy access to highway.
• I had to walk down many hallways and take two elevators to room.

“This hotel is in a lovely area (Rye Brook NY) and the setting is lovely (set off in a secluded wooded area). The lobby is spacious and they offer coffee in the morning. I did not try the restaurant. There is ample parking, a very nice looking indoor pool and spa. Free internet in the lobby. The only thing is I had to walk down a hallway to get one elevator, take it to the fourth floor, then walk down three or four very long hallways and take an elevator down to the 6th floor and then walk another hallway to my room. Fine for me alone, but with an older person or with lots of things to carry, it would be a problem. Room was clean but a little dated. I would stay there again and it was a great value.”

• Parking very poor, too far + small drop off area.

• Fairly easy on/off to I95 and final destination in Rye.
• Unsure anyone else was on the same floor; construction vehicles outside the window.

• The bathrooms are spotless and plenty of thick towels.
• The thoughtlessness and yelling and noise of the people the other rooms on Saturday night was terrible in.

“We have stayed here many times and were very disappointed on our Saturday night, because of the thoughtlessness of others in the rooms around us. The noise was ridiculous.”

• Room was 85 degrees and air conditioner didn't work.

“Air conditioning was not working in the room and as such it was very uncomfortable to sleep and get ready and relax in general. The wallpaper in the hallways was peeling and was held in place w/ push pins in some places. Otherwise the location was convenient and the room was clean. Hotel had many conference rooms and appeared to be a great place for conferences/business meetings.”

“The Hilton Rye Town met our needs and expectations. We were attending a wedding in the area on a Saturday night, and did not want to drive home after the reception. Check-in on Saturday afternoon and check-out on Sunday were easy. The staff was courteous, and we had a relaxing break in the pool/hot tub area. The gym is small and has no resistance equipment, but the dumbbells were adequate for my Sunday morning workout. The saunas are in the dressing rooms of the gym, below the pool, they don't seem to work very well. Our spacious ground-floor room featured a very comfortable king bed, good-quality linens and Lavazza coffee-making facilities. The bathroom was fine for us, taking a bath might have been difficult because the drain-stopper appeared to be broken. Guests who prefer not to walk much should probably avail themselves of valet parking and request a room near reception, because the Hilton is a sprawling place. Also, first-time visitors would be aware that the hotel is not visible from Westchester Avenue, so you have to watch for the Hilton sign at ground level.”

• The cleanliness, staff service and the location with so many trees and acreages was excellent.

“The location was excellent with so many trees and space. The hotel was clean and the staff was superb. I would highly recommend this hotel to persons traveling in this vicinity.”

• It was difficult to find. In the midst of multiple office complexes.

“We came when 90% of the hotel was booked by a religious organization. Yet the hotel was still able to help us with our needs. The hotel was amazing!”

• The wooded land the hotel rests on gives the feel of a resort.
• Felt a little dated.

“It sure does feel like a quiet get-away hotel. Very quiet and peaceful. Just make sure to ask for a room not at the far corners of the hotel. I stayed in literally the last corner room down hallway after hallway, with the only entrance/exit being the lobby. It felt like a marathon every time I had to leave.”

“The hotel is very attractive and comfortable. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable and the room, public areas and restaurants were very nice. The outdoors areas were very well kept and "resort-like". Staff was courteous and helpful.”

“The Hilton Rye Town is a perfect stop for a weary traveler along the I-95 corridor. Close to the highway, but secluded and offering many amenities, you can arrive exhausted and depart refreshed. This is a hidden gem.”

• The rooms were big and attractively decorated.
• The parking can be difficult and the walls were thin. Restaurant was expensive.

“The Hilton rye town is in a beautiful location--nestled in trees but still close enough to downtown port Chester and the major highways. There was a convention, though, when we were there, and there were so many cars that people were parking on the grass, far away on the sides of streets that made two-lane streets too Narrow for two cars. The rooms of the hotel were really nice though so after we finally parked we were very happy. The restaurant was too expensive for us to eat in, but there are reasonable alternatives within a short drive. The staff at the hotel were very responsive to our needs and I do think this hotel is 3-star and very nice. Just make sure there isn't a huge convention the weekend you are there.”

• Room larger than average and luxuriously appointed.
• It's hard to find!

“A sprawling campus on a hilly, treed lot that is almost invisible from the street, this Hilton offers all the chain's usual amenities and luxuriously appointed rooms. Parking is free and extensive, but be prepared to walk the equivalent of a city block to get to the lobby. .”

• We had to pay a non-refundable $50.00 for a pet that we did not know at the time.

• Would have liked more premium channels (HBO).

“I was very pleased with my stay. I got lost initially - I got directions from a direction finding website - the hotel staff was able to direct me to the hotel quickly. The help was much appreciated after a long 4.5 hour drive. I asked if the room was quiet and the staff assured me it would be. I found the room quite comfortable and very quiet. Great stay. I would recommend again and stay when opportunity arises.”

• Only 2 double beds, not 2 queens available.

“The front desk staff was nice and friendly. The pool was pretty and was busy. The gift shop had a nice assortment of snacks and drinks. They had quality amenities in the bathroom. I enjoyed it.”

• Location to my daughter¿s college at purchase.
• The man insisting on coming in our room to check the mini bar when we said we didn't use it. He was very rude!

“As said above, we were trying to get ready to go when a knock came at the door and an employee of the hotel said he wanted to check the mini bar. I explained that we had not used it and we were really trying to get out of the room. He just looked at me and insisted on checking it. So my partner and I stopped everything and waited while this guy checked the mini bar. We felt like our private space was violated. The rest of our stay was brief but nice.”

• The fact that it charges money for use of the internet at their business center. Also, their business center was very small.

• Extremely confusing layout. Can¿t' find your room. No assistance from staff. No vending machines. Forced to buy $5.00 bottles of water. Old facility.

“This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed at. The floor layout to the rooms was horrible. Everyone was wandering around trying to find their rooms through a confusing maze of stairs, elevators. You had to walk a half a mile through this maze which included going up to go down, going down to go up. ”

“The hotel was more than I expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the room was comfortable, with nice bedding, pillows and comforters. The bathroom was beautiful and well stocked with towels, hairdryer and toiletries. The pool was lovely, and the water was very warm. The spa felt great after a busy day.”

• The indoor pool was excellent!
• Most of the entire bathroom was not cleaned to my satisfaction, and the comforter or duvet cover was missing from the bedding.

“The first night I arrived the bellman packed my suitcases on the cart pushed them into the hotel vestibule and left me to take the bags to my room on my own. In my party there were 2 adults (both female) and 3 young children. That was poor service. I also expected the rooms to be a little larger. I was disappointed that there was no refrigerator or microwave within the room; with young children a refrigerator is very necessary. Also the bedding was missing the comforter or a duvet cover. The duvet was just wrapped in a sheet very tacky. Lastly the bathroom floors and showers should have been cleaned better and every day. Especially when the toilet over flowed and I had to ask the maid to use cleaning fluid not just wipe up the floor alone. She was willing but that should have been common knowledge. Overall the staff was polite but nothing extraordinary. The pool facilities were definitely the highlight of our trip.”

• Hotel converted from apartment. Room sly was very cheap and doesn't come close to Hilton sly standard.

“From outside only, any one can figure out that this hotel is converted from cheap apartment and hotel owner didn't make any effort to make this hotel rooms convert to other Hilton hotels standards. Furniture is also very cheap. Apart from the services and facilities, I rate this hotel as 2 star categories and meet Travelodge standards.”

• I loved the pool and the hot tub and the service.
• I did not like the fact that our first room was very smoky and the toilet was running. The second room also smelled of smoke, but was not as severe as.

“The service in every department was excellent! The personnel were all warm and friendly with the exception of one person who barley spoke English. My only disappointment was the smoky rooms. I would go back again! I am sure it is beautiful in the summer. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas!”
