• Convenient to where I needed to go & right off the highway.
• Restaurant is good, but breakfast buffet is strongly encouraged and quite expensive.

“I've stayed here numerous times and always find it comfortable. Pool and exercise room are great; walking trail outside is especially nice to have access to.”

“Kindness of staff in general is terrible. Water pipe broke and yellow (sand) water came from the tap and the toilet. Hotel notified that the problem was solved, but my room still had yellow water. I couldn't wash my teeth and take a bath. I complained about it, and hotel sent three bottled water. It took 30 minutes to get the water after the talk. Heater was not turning on, only air conditioner. Temperature outside was about 45. Staff said that it was a hotel policy to turn on the heater under a certain degree. The room was freezing cold. I complained about that, and the hotel sent a small heater, which was too small to make the room warm. It took more than 40 minutes to get the heater after the talk.”

• Environment was calm, pleasant; staff was pleasant without being stuffy or solicitous
• Pool looked a bit cloudy; radio in pool area shoudl have had music, not talk radio

“This calm, pleasant oasis is hidden in a lovely wooded corner wedged between 2 freeways that you hardly know are there. Finding the entrance is a bit of a challenge - you may have to go through the loops a few times - but once inside the stress just sips away and you are in a nice place to be yourself. You cannot walk to anything, so this hotel works best if you have a car. The internet connectivity was excellent; there was a charge, but not a moment of a glitch or hassle. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the desk was spacious, the TV was large, and the view from my window was verdant and lush landscape. The bathroom was small, but clean. No mention of Priceline status at check-in. The restaurant is actually reasonably priced; if you arrive during a buffet brunch, they do allow you to order from the menu, and there are menu options that are reasonably priced for a hotel. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.”

“I would bring my family to this hotel. It was very nice. I like the check in and check out times, the hours of the pool and fitness. I wasn't there long enough to enjoy the amenities but would like to return someday. The grounds were very nice as well.”

• Room had clearly sustained much water damage; hot water took forever; nothing in area.

“The rooms are very comfortable, have fridges, staff was kind and attentive. But they scrimp on odd things: not enough coffee is delivered, so you need to go downstairs and buy some anyway. Rooms are so far from water heater that, unless it's early morning or late evening, you have to let the water run for 40 minutes before it's hot enough to shower. Nice property.”

“There were three weddings and two upscale bar-mitvahs going on the weekend we were there. It was easy to see why because the hotel was fabulously beautiful with expansive spaces, meticulous rooms, and attentive staff.”

• Convenience, appearance, service.
• Customer service at Bar was inadequate and staff was not visible. Staff remained in room adjacent to bar and you had to look for them for service.

“Aside from the bar experience and the inattention to the customers by the staff, the overall experience was favorable. I loved the appearance of the hotel even though the elevators could stand a refreshing. The staff at the bar would hide in a room adjacent to the bar and you could see the customers frustration with the lack of attention or customer care. This was noticed by me and a business associate who came to the hotel to meet with me and after placing the order for drinks he was amazed that they twice brought him drinks that he didn't order. A revamping of the staff at this location of the hotel will go a long way.”

• The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful.
• The elevators were ice cold. It was strange.

It can be a little awkward getting around since the location is a little off the beaten path but that adds to the ability to have large open grounds and a nature walk. I will certainly suggest this hotel to others and will visit again.”

“We stayed at the Renaissance Westchester with our three children 3 and under and it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay for all of us. The hotel was beautiful inside and out. The staff was warm and friendly and met all of our needs. The indoor pool and hot tub area were a great place to spend a cold winter morning. We would definitely stay here again.”

• Loved the location - a bit off the beaten track, but gorgeous, secluded, wooded setting is worth the trip.
• Very confusing to get to from the highway.

“Wish we could have stayed longer at this beautiful, secluded spot. While you are only a few minutes drive from the city centre, you feel like you are in a whole different world. Great for relaxing and enjoying the natural setting. Excellent food and food service staff - loved the lemon pancakes for breakfast.”

“Great hotel, right off the highway and very easy to find. Close to White Plains airport. Room was spacious with large flat screen TV, wet bar and choice of king or 2 queen beds. Luxury pillow top mattresses with a ton of super soft pillows. Very quiet and got a great night sleep.”

• Recreational activities and equipment were good for our grand daughter - pool, foosball, volleyball, horseshoes, air hockey all free.
• Very hard to find off the road.

“The rooms are very nice, the bar food was good, the pool and other available activities made our grand daughter very happy but we spent a lot of time trying to find it twice because of it's location and only being able to get to it from one side of the highway.”

“If you are looking for a quiet oasis just outside of the city, this is the place. The Marriott is about as good as it gets with well manicured exterior, this place just shines. The Marriott has a pool and two tennis courts.”

“I haven't traveled enough to know what to expect for a 3 star hotel. Our room was pleasant, but small. The hotel seems outdated - in need of renovations. Driving to and from the hotel is a little tricky. I stayed in a Renaissance 2 years ago in Walnut Creek and that place was gorgeous. This Renaissance is not nearly as nice.”

• Location is hard to get to, and there is nothing near the hotel - gas, burger joint, etc.

“It's located right off of the highway, but it is very tricky to get there if you have never been there before. The setting is very nice - they do many weddings there - and the rooms are decent. This is my third or fourth time there, and every time I check in, it seems like I get the new hire who has to be shown how to do everything. The elevators and carpets need to be updated, but, all in all, it's a good place to spend a quiet night.”

• Nice rooms, clean, pool area looked nice, staff pleasant.
• Thin walls - could hear children in next room, uncomfortable pillows.

“Overall an excellent hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Thin walls between our room and noisy guests in the next room made it difficult to fall asleep (apparently disturbed other guests as well- although I didn't call someone did and hotel security staff person told them to quiet down. I could hear them debate the issue through the walls!) Pillows were tiny. Beds otherwise were comfortable.”

• It can take more than 5 minutes to get hot water late at night if you are staying in one of the rooms at the end of the hall.

“The hotel was very nice and the staff friendly--however, there was no air conditioning and the room was hot and stuffy. When we requested, a fan, we were told that one would be delivered to our room and it never came. It was a miserable night because if the heat in the room--however, Marriot made it right by us.”

• The bedding was luxurious. There were actual glasses in bathroom, not plastic.
• The room was a long walk from the entrance. Carpeting needs replacing.

“The hotel is a big off the beaten path, there's nothing nearby in terms of Starbuck's, gas stations, shopping, etc. The grounds are very pretty and the lobby is nice. There are very few entry doors and we had to walk a long way from the entry to our room each time we came and went. There seems to be some construction going on (we saw earth moving equipment, etc.) But it did not bother us. The bed's furnishing was nice, but the carpet seriously needs to be replaced. The bathroom was ok, despite a large chip in the marble vanity that they did a pretty good job disguising. I enjoy glass glasses as opposed to plastic. I wish there had been coffee mugs instead of Styrofoam. The toilet paper and facial tissue were of good quality, as was the toiletries.”

“We got there late and the AC did not work on a warm night. It was our anniversary and what a nightmare. The AC did not work and with my wife having asthma she was having breathing trouble. They tried to open a window in another room but this did not help. We had to go home at 2 AM.”
