• Great bed and
  mattress.
• No bar.
  Lounge.

“Great place to stay, visiting at nearby Iona College. Downtown area of New Roc is in a state of flux. Skid row is adjacent to modern developments. Strong police presence in the area is helpful. This hotel could be the cornerstone of the new downtown destination, but the area is still too sketchy.”

• Loved the size of the suite, dining table, and kitchen appliances, and microwave popcorn.
• The queen size bed was too small, but these are being replaced with king size. Refrigerator missing ice cube maker.

“We had a nice stay (7 nights). Reception staff and housekeeping were helpful. Loved the size of the suite, though the queen size bed was small for 2 people. The dry warm air which blew from the heating unit made us very dry but we had to have it on due to the 30 degree weather outside; cold air was blowing in through the bottom of the windows. An oven would have been nice, in addition to a microwave. The food served during the evening social hour was salty for the most part; some fresh cut vegetables with a dip would have been nice. I cannot drink coffee and herbal tea was in short supply, till one of the staff bought me some herbal tea bags. Coffee and hot water for tea was always available in the hotel entrance.”

• Person who checked me in had an attitude.

“Overall it was a good experience. It just started off on the wrong foot with the person who checked me in. The next person on shift was extremely pleasant and apologetic.”

• Area surrounding hotel is not nice especially at night.

• The hotel exceeded our expectations.
• Everything was great.

“We stayed here for one night and were very pleasantly surprised. Great location for what we needed to do. Very large rooms. (The studio is actually a one bedroom). Will stay there again.”

• I stayed there with my brother and it had a pull out bed.
• When I got there I had to clean the seat of the toilet because it still had someone¿s fecal matter on it.

“Overall I liked it; the only real downfall was the above mentioned toilet.”

• A few members of staff can be friendly and helpful.
• Breakfast, level of cleanliness, dinner menu, and dingy dining room the list is endless. `.

“Housekeeping come to clean at 4pm which I feel is a tad too late and the sheets are rarely changed. The furniture is in need of updating as the runners on the drawers fail to work. Staff is slow to respond to emergencies such as flooding. I had to request three times for additional pillows and blankets. Breakfast is limited in range and the waiting staff is more anxious to clear away ahead of allotted breakfast times and go home than offer customer service. The reception staff offers inconsistent information. The dinner menu offers no choice and shouldn't even be factored into the overall deal. Manager¿s special is not a dish of the day! Menus must be more explicit. I would not recommend this hotel.”

• There was no spa as describe, only a very small exercise room.

• It was spacious and clean, 2 TVs and big bath.
• Parking was limited.

“The staff was pleasant. The room exceeded my expectations. One guy got a room at the Harlem YMCA for nearly the same price. He was even offered a bunkbed and roommate. He wishes he had gone to New Rochelle.”

• Their breakfast and the staff was very courteous and helpful with directions
• There was nothing that we disliked about it.

“This hotel's staff was excellent. The location was central to the train staton to go to Manhatten everything within walking distance. The New Roc center had a lot to do for the old and young. Walking into the the neighborhood was nice too.. I would definitely reccommend this place to anyone...”

• conveninent to all activities and transp., breakfast bar
• trash can under sink overflowing upon arrival.

“Very nice and clean hotel, except for the formentioned trash can. Staff was excedingly friendly. Plenty of amenities. I loved the breakfast bar nad evening dinner. I WILL definatly stay here again on my next trip to the Big Apple.”

• Very new hotel. Very spacious and clean.
• Not a fan of the fluorescent bulbs in every light fixture.

“This was a very nice place to stay near the city. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. No complaints.”

“Typical residence inn - essentially in a mall so very convenient. Staff was not the most helpful- we had to ask several times to have our room vacuumed and cleaned, and they were surprised we wanted it vacuumed. It was filthy.”

• The staff was excellent. I have never experienced hotel staff going beyond the call of duty. We were in for a funeral and they went the extra mile.

• its a dump and totally lacks management oversight of anything/everything

“It would be great if another hotel chain bought this one and brought it to decent standards. I've stayed three times only because I needed to be close to the Bronx but each time I've been reluctant to stay there. Its not worth much so bid low.”
