• The room was spacious and comfortable.
• The area that breakfast is served in is a bit snug when full.

“The front end associate was friendly and efficient. We were checked in very quickly and went to our room. The room was clean and inviting. There was a newer model television and a single serve coffee maker in the room. The bathroom was large, clean and stocked.”

• Even though it's listed at 2 stars, it exceeded my expectations for this category.
• Couldn't cool down the room. AC was probably off for the season even tho temps were very mild.

“Excellent value. It was much better than what I would expect a 2 star hotel to be. Convenient location, right off the interstate. Hot breakfast was included, adding to the value.”

• Friendly courteous staff, excellent breakfast selections.
• Driver for taxi service hired by hotel (shuttle closed, late flight) was rude.

“We had a wonderful 2-night stay in this clean hotel with courteous friendly staff. We were disappointed however with the housekeeping staff when we returned to our room at 4 pm to freshen up for an evening appointment, after having been out all day, and found our room had not yet been cleaned. Also, as we arrived after midnight, the shuttle they normally provide was closed, so they told us to hail a cab at the airport (from the company they have a contract with), and to tell the driver it was to be a no charge (for us) ride. Well, may be the driver doesn't get paid as much for fares from this contract or maybe he was just having a bad day, but he drove us from the airport to the hotel in a dangerous, reckless manner, using excessive speed, turning the corners sharply. We slid across the back seat from one side to the other. And he barely slowed at the red lights. Unfortunately we did not get his number (hindsight) and we certainly gave him no tip when we arrived at the hotel where he jumped out of the cab, opened the trunk, expected us to unload our luggage, and then ran in to the front desk to get paid for the ride. This hotel may want to consider other options or at the very least not paying a driver until they have asked their guest how the ride was!”

• Very convenient to the whole Albany area.
• Tiny pieces of waffles offered for breakfast.

“Excellent location Good staff, excellent landscaping. Breakfast was ok but not as nice as other Hampton inns that Ive stayed at. Really nice bed. Walls are thin.”

• Every piece of equipment In the work out room was broken Including the scale.

“Rooms and public areas could have been a little cleaner. Would have loved to have the ability to work out every night. Breakfast was great; high speed Internet was great and the 24 hr coffee was great. Location was fantastic.”

• Clean, comfortable room. nice staff (we arrived around 11Pm, and he was helping someone on the phone with a Wi-Fi problem.
• A little hard to locate off the interstate. Nothing big.

“The Hampton Inn on Wolf road has consistently exceeded my expectations. I have stayed there with my daughter on various occasions throughout the remodeling that was recently completed. Even in the most chaotic part of the remodeling the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms were very comfortable and clean.”

• There is no recycling and they don't have info re: saving towels to conserve water/energy, etc.

• The breakfast buffet was very good.
• Door slamming/ice making machine all night.

“The Albany Hampton inn was about what we expected. The check in was easy and quick. The room was good sized but needed a better vacuum job on the rugs. Everything worked and a coffee maker was in the room. It had single pods so only two cups, but the breakfast buffet had ample coffee available in the lobby. Very noisy but still ok.”

• Airport shuttle shut down at midnight. Flight arrived after midnight. Cabs had a 2 to 3 hr wait. Fellow passenger took us to hotel.

“Being an airport hotel, this Hampton should have a shuttle that ends at night after the last flight, not at midnight. We were stranded because our flight came in about 5 min after midnight and Albany airport did not have enough cabs so the cab wait was 2 to 3 hrs! Hotel would not do anything about it. If a fellow passenger had not driven us to the hotel, we would have been stuck until 3 am.”

“The Hampton inn staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel has benefited from the recent renovations and most of the room furniture is of good quality and very comfortable. This is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in and the most family-friendly.”

• The breakfast was very limited but there were problems with their equipment.

“Considering that the Hampton inn is currently undergoing extensive renovations, the quality of the rooms and services were excellent. The furniture in the rooms was very nice and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The rooms were also immaculate. Staff did their best to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied the room. The hotel is in a great location near Albany airport and all the shops and government offices on wolf road. Ideal for business or leisure.”

• It was clean, the bathroom was new, and the breakfast was great!
• They are currently renovating the hotel, so some halls were not accessible It wasn't noisy though.

“I would stay there again. The room was outstanding. Parts of the rest of the hotel were under reconstruction so it is not fair to rate the balance of the Hotel. According to the signs, reconstruction will be finished at the end of November 2006.”

• It was convenient and had just a few extra touches to make it feel very special for the price.
• The rooms were not well insulated. You could hear everything in the hall--TV.; conversions; etc.

“Very comfortable and off the main thoroughfare. The hotel is nestled behind a local restaurant and you have to be looking for it to see it. It is in a quiet area, but very close to the interstate. The room are well kept and the bed linens are VERY nice. Staff is friendly and willing to help in any way possible. I would recommend this hotel.”

• Morning free breakfast was great.
• How about sheets not changed from previous guests, and hair all over pillows and sheets.

“As we arrived, it took a while for the clerk to locate our reservation in the computer, we were given a room with double beds. We went to the room, as I checked the bed, I noticed hair inside the bed (on the sheets ) so I checked the other bed, and same situation, sheets were dirty (hair from previous guests) went to the front desk and inform them of the problem. A maid came to the room, and she saw for herself that I was not exaggerating, and offered to change the sheets immediately. We were given a different room (king size bed) room was better. The hotel is a mess, as you walk in you can see that management worst. I will never return to this hotel.”

• The staff was friendly and told me the shuttle could take me to the nearby mall¿great.
• I waited for the shuttle driver because he thought I was coming out and I thought he was coming in.

“I had the handicap room with a large bathroom The bedding was very nice and the pillows the type I could accurately sleep on. It was inviting when I arrived.”

“When checking in we were assigned a room with a king size bed -- the staff seeing we had two children with us age 8 and 7 set us up with two roll away beds and Herman went above and beyond to get them set up for us. The following morning we arrived after the free breakfast had ended and as the woman in charge was closing up -- she took the time to make sure that we were fed.”
