• Room was surprisingly comfortable and the staff was great.
• Pool closed at 9 pm.

“Great place, use this hotel whenever possible while traveling on business in this area. Decent food, good prices in restaurant and room service. I ended up staying a couple extra days and then came back here on my travels home. Always a good choice.”

• I liked the overall appearance of the hotel.
• I did not like that there were seprate buildings not located in the main tower.

“Very nice, resort-like feeling. Indoor pool looked very nice. Weddings and high school reunions happening at hotel gave it a nice feeling. Front desk staff were friendly. Good location with free parking. Happy my room was located in main building, I did not like the idea of the seperate buildings. Would have been nice to have breakfast included like many other hotels in the area.”

• Renovation of smoking rooms to non-smoking was not complete - room smelled.

“Usually a pretty good place, but these rooms that were smoking rooms were not renovated well and still smelt like smoke. Took 20 minutes to check in.”

• I liked that they added a restaurant to the old part of the hotel.
• The room was not as clean, and the linens were not on the bed properly and were a little dirty.

“Overall, this was a comfortable experience. The room service was fantastic, however, the tip is added in on every order automatically. Although the bathroom was small, the shower was quite large and the water pressure was great. There was an additional sink located outside the bathroom, as well as a small fridge, which made it convenient for a longer stay. The TV was a little difficult to use, as you had to go to the programming channel in order to see what was on versus being able to scan a menu myself, and the remote control was sticky. They layout of the hotel was okay. The fitness center was very small, hosting only a few treadmills, elliptical and a bike, and one set of free weights. There were no mats, weight machines or benches. The pool was very nice for relaxing, not so much for laps or a work out, and the jacuzzi was out of order. Again, overall, good for business, not great for relaxing.”

“Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a minor situation in the room and maintenance man was there within 5 minutes and corrected the problem. Free computer/internet with printer was helpful. Had a room in the back and was able to park right outside the room door. Could use a late adult only hour at the pool, lots of children in the pool.”

• The Cabanas.
• Mini bar staff - tried to charge for items not used/taken.

“The Hyatt Regency Cancun is a beautiful resort. The rooms are spacious, and the entire hotel buzzes with ample wait and cleaning staff to make sure the hotel is constantly polished and the needs of its guests are met instantly. The wait staff especially are wonderful, courteous, and so eager to please. I will most definitely try to stay here again.”

• Pool, kids, bed, pillows, bathtub, no exterior window and a poor TV.

“What a Horrible Inn! Simply the worst hotel stay that I have had in years. The bed was full of loose springs and the pillows were about a foot thick and made of cement I think. The pool was filled with pure chlorine and screaming children. The room was loud and filled with the sound of the screaming children in the pool, there was no outside window and the room decor was straight out of the late eighty's. Didn't sleep a wink, I really didn't think it was possible to screw up a room this bad without making it dirty.”

• Great room.
• Nothing I can think of. Have stayed here several times and never had any problems.

“I have stayed here many times over the years traveling with children and alone with my husband. The rooms in the new tower section are especially nice for a family. Rooms are clean and spacious and usually a small refrigerator in the room. Beds are very comfortable. Although the exercise room has been under renovation recently I have used it in the past and it is also very good. Pool area is also nice. Location is excellent with good access to highway. Wolf Road has tons of restaurants and shopping to meet any need you might have. And though it's near the Albany Airport I can honestly say that once in the building, I have never heard an airplane. Staff is accommodating. I really have never had any kind odd or a bad experience at this hotel and have nothing bad to say about it.”

“While this Holiday Inn is quite large, the rooms are quite nice - high end comfort - great beds. Kids love the nearby pool. The front desk staff and engineer were
very fast and responsive when there was a problem getting hot water. Very convenient to resaurants, airport - but in a very busy strip mall location.”

• Good location (close to airport and shopping), great price, free parking.

“This Holiday Inn is somewhat nicer than a lot of them that I've seen. The available features probably make it a three-star, but I'd grade it as a two-and-a-half star based on room size alone. We had a king bed and the room seemed a bit cramped. On the other hand, all we did there was sleep, so it wasn't a huge problem. We didn't eat there on this trip, but I've eaten there years ago when their bread pudding was legendary. For a hotel restaurant, I recall it being pretty good food, but I don't know whether that has been maintained over the years, since I haven't eaten there recently. In short, you could do a lot worse than staying in this hotel (at places right across the street) as long as you don't expect spacious accommodations.”

• I honestly can't think of anything that stood out.
• The smell that came trought the vent when the heat was on as well as the smell of chlorine in the air from the indoor pool.

“I think the idea of the hotel is great with an indoor pool. There should be some type of glass around the pool to keep the chlorine smell out of the entire hotel - possibly a vent that leads to the outside would be better. I don't know how healthy that is to smell that chlorine all day for two weeks.”

• Convenience and lots of restaurants on same road.
• Many hotel residents were conference attendees and quite noisy. Would not have used the pool or hot tub because of this.

• I liked the comfort and ambiance of the room I stayed in.
• I ordered from the restaurant located inside the lobby of the hotel and I was greatly disappointed with the quality of food for the price.

“In general the hotel is great for short stays. They did have a restaurant, a bar, and a pool, great for family or couples on vacation. I really was not at the hotel long enough to fully indulge in its amenities but I would recommend it to others.”

“Location is terrific, near many, many restaurants and bars. Near a major mall, and just off the Northway, too. Sprawling property, room was clean and comfortable. Internet access was great, and TV has probably 75+ channels.”

“This is an older style Holiday Inn with a service team that is indifferent. The room was filthy everywhere you looked, the ceiling tiles in our bathrooms were falling down, and you could see several floors up. Trash was in various places outside, complete w/a dead bird that stayed there for a day.”

• Beds were extremely comfortable and they offered a pillow menu.
• I think that their toiletries could use a bit of an upgrade.

“This is a very nice hotel near to Albany airport. It is on a main street and accessible to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Rooms are nicely decorated. Was not feeling well and staff was very nice in helping me to get drinks and crackers. When we checked in and when we showed them our Priority Club card they gave us some perks with that!”

• Clean rooms and VERY impressive lobby. Location!
• The bed was a little stiff, but not bad.

“Only stayed one night before flying out the next morning. Staff was nice and extremely helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The best thing, for us anyway, was the proximity to the airport. It was only about a 5 minute drive away, roughly 1.5 miles. Jet noise was minimal, considering how close the airport is.”

• It was conveniently located next to many restaurants in a safe shopping district.
• I firmly believe they did not clean the bathroom, there was someone else's hair in the shower and on the sink, mold in the shower.

“A hotel can have many flaws, but when the bathroom is dirty and there is mold in the shower, (granted a small amount) one then questions many other things; Were the sheets and towels really clean? I think the towels were, but I highly suspect the sheets. The beds were not a true full size (I've heard this is a new trend) and although my husband and I are average size, it was a tight and uncomfortable fit.”

“This is a great 3-star hotel. Staff were all kin, accommodating and courteous. Room was big, clean, with a nice view. Wonderful heated pool, good laundry facilities. Hotel was close to restaurants and right next to a great java cafe. We loved it.”

“I was greeted warmly when checking in. The housekeeper was flexible and accommodated my request to clean my room at a later time. The room was clean and comfortable, and the outside grounds were well maintained.”

“Location was perfect, outside of hotel was attractive and lobby area was small yet clean. My check-in experience was not pleasant. A young female person checked me in and her attitude was not on a par with what I would have expected from a hotel like this. Room was decent; service and management response was poor, at best. I will not stay here again because of the poor service.”

• I preferred the rooms in the Tower where my brothers were staying.
• The hotel room smells of stale cigarettes, I had to by spray to kill the order.

“The hotel was very clean, and the staff highly professional and polite. I will stay there again but this time in the tower bldg, the rooms more comfortable and came with better amenities.”

“Nice rooms, very comfortable beds and it smelled ok. Aside from a lack of HVAC capacity (there was no air exchanger so the room got a little stale without the window open). The room was perfect for my needs otherwise.”

• Windows opened onto hallway, not outdoors.

“I think that this may have been a converted motel. The hallways ran along the outside of the building so that the rooms had windows on the hallways. To keep people in the hall from looking in you had to close your blinds tight. It was really a horrible design. It must have been a retrofit. No sane person would have designed it like this.”
