• It was very clean, In-door Pool, Restaurant was there, (didn't dine in) close to airport and University at Albany. Reason for our visit.
• To travel with children, the room must have. A microwave and a little Fridge. I thought It was equipped with these items.

“We stayed in this hotel before, the last time we where in Albany we stayed in another hotel. What a mistake. the room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, someone else's hair was stuck on the walls of the shower. We were not happy at all. I would recommend this hotel to all.”

• The room AC's needed to be cleaned!

“Our stay was very relaxing! We had a lot of luggage and the employees were very helpful in getting us in and out of our room and to and from the airport without us having to lift a finger!”

• Everything was under construction; lights were hanging off the walls.

“This hotel will be a very nice place to stay overall when the construction is completed. The rooms are nice and comfortable, although small. Everywhere else is under construction, and the pool seems a bit outdated, but it is heated. It is at a convenient location.”

• Lobby was being remodeled; however the hotel did a good job of working around this problem.

• There was major construction going on; most of the lobby, lounge, and sitting areas were not accessible.

“There was major construction going on. The first room they wanted to give me was right in the middle of the demolition; I walked down the hallway amidst the torn rugs and the newly spackled walls and many construction people! There were no amenities available as the front of the hotel was "curtained off and there was only a narrow walkway remaining. This wasn't what I expected from Marriott hotel.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the location was excellent.
• The remodeling of the hotel was the only bad thing.

“The hotel was clean, comfortable and provided everything I needed. I did not use the facilities, but I would in the future. I would stay here again. I was very satisfied.”

• Low water pressure, remodeling of lobby was a real bummer.

“If you can overlook the on going renovations throughout the entire hotel, you will be pleased with a wonderful bed at the end of a long day. Business travelers will find the hotel offers a place to eat, a great bed, nice amenities in the bathroom. Leisure travelers will be disappointed to find major renovations in the lobby and throughout the hotel.”

• The hotel was convenient for the conference I attended.
• The fire alarm went off at 6:00am, while I was blow drying my hair!

“The hotel was okay. Nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly enough, but they were under construction and parts of it seemed dirty. The smoke alarm went off while I was blow drying my hair at 6 am. I had to wait for a service person to come to re set it. It woke up the people in the room next door. This hotel is either economy or moderate definitely not something to write home about!”

• Convenient to airport.
• Sign was hard to see, missed it first time.

“Although the hotel was listed as converting to a totally non smoking, I could tell mine was one of the rooms that had been previously a smokers room, no amount of cleaning can totally eliminate the lingering odor, slightly musty from trying to over clean the carpets, this was definitely not a primo room (sink cracked, tiles broken, towels like sand paper) for about the same money I could have stayed at a days inn and at least had breakfast in the morning.”

• A clean hotel conveniently located next to the airport and route 81.
• The floor in which we stayed was under construction and renovations.

“It is conveniently located and up to the Marriott standards, however our floor was under renovations and was dusty and noisy starting around 8:30am.”

“This was a huge disappointment. I expected more from the Marriott and actually got much more from my stay the next 2 days at a Best Western! Very disappointed in many ways. Parts of the hotel were filthy.”

• The hotel desk clerk was very friendly and very helpful. The beds were very comfortable.
• In each of the four rooms that we rented there was an issue. One the lights did not work, another had crackers on the floor.

“I think that the hotel lobby was beautiful and the desk clerk was wonderful, however I expected much more from a three start hotel in terms of rooms that were flawless.”

• There was a mix-up with my room service order.

“Although there was a mix-up with my room service order (it took 75 minutes to receive it) they made it right and offered me free breakfast. The food at this hotel is excellent!”

• Luxurious and clean. Very friendly staff.
• I was disappointed and amazed at the total absence of any kind of coffee or tea area, a nice complementary coffee in the morning would have been nice.

“I was very disappointed in the overpriced fair food in the hotel restaurant! After the first breakfast I went out for breakfast. Otherwise, very nice and clean! Friendly.”

• One could tell that the hotel is not new; seemed lived in.

• Bathroom floor can be very slippery. No problems for me, but was careful.

“Solid, reliable business hotel near Albany airport. Hotel and rooms are immaculate. I would not recommend this hotel if you need reliable internet access -- old, no longer useful broadband access in many rooms; problematic wireless service; i-bahn tries to help but the equipment is just too old and not upgradeable to current security standards, apparently.”

• The bed was remarkably comfortable!
• The exit door closest to my room was labeled as an exit in the hallway, but marked emergency exit only on the door.

“The Albany Marriott is very well suited to business and leisure travelers. It is very close to the Albany airport and is conveniently located on wolf road, which is right off i-87. There are numerous choices in the immediate area for dining if you choose to eat off site. There is a red lobster across the street and many other chains nearby-Romano¿s macaroni grill, outback steakhouse and the cheesecake factory to name a few.”

• It was the perfect getaway with wonderful amenities.
• The staff allowed barking dogs and little children to run rampant. We couldn't sleep.

“This would be the perfect hotel if the staff monitored the activities of their guests. Not everyone came with their yappy dogs and noisy children. We came to get away from such things. We came to sleep and rest. With all the noise, we were awake till 4a.m. both nights.”

“Overall the hotel would be nice, but misses the mark. During this visit a couple of very minor problems were made worse by poor staff response. There was no liner for the ice bucket in my room. I was told I couldn't pick one up at the front desk and that someone would bring me one. After almost an hour of waiting I called, and they had misplaced my room number? Internet service is about the worst I have encountered from both the standpoint of speed and the physical connection. I would stay here again because the room was decent for the price, but the service was awful.”
