• The man who checked us in was not personable at all.

“Except for the "no friendly" man who checked us in the hotel was just fine. He made no eye contact and was very "robot" like. No nasty but not friendly at all.”

• Its location was great for my trip right off the Thruway.
• It is being renovated so there were some inconveniences from that but they were totally minor.

“This is a very standard Marriott - and I saw that with respect. Everything was as it should have been - very well designed room, comfortable bed and good staff. There was lots of parking and restaurants close by. Try the El Dorado diner for breakfast right down the street - great brunches and salads!”

• Room was not clean!

“Pool, room service, our maid service all wonderful. Room was not clean when we got there. I cleaned bathroom myself and wiped down the desks etc. in the room. There was caked food in the remote!! Sliding door lock Broken. Got a screw driver from the car and fixed it myself! Had trouble with TV, Internet and Pay per view. Was on hold 20 minutes and took hours to get resolved. This happened three times.”

• The proximity to our destination.
• No refrigerator in room.

“The accommodations were comfortable, it was 5 minutes from main street, and after the pool closed, it was silent. If you want to nap in the afternoon, get a room away from the pool/courtyard. Minor inconvenience: The main lobby was under construction.”

• The rooms were very nice and the beds very comfortable, clean, friendly staff.
• Could use more elevators - I had difficulty finding my way around.

“This is an excellent hotel, very clean, with friendly staff. The food was great, and the service in the restaurant was A+. I would highly recommend this place for vacations or business travel.”

• Looks recently renovated, clean, friendly staff, bathroom with plenty towels and toiletries, comfortable room, good quality sheets and great location.
• Doesn't offer free internet access.

• The hotel was centrally located for my needs and provided a very comfortable resting place between meetings&
• The room had not been cleaned properly and there were small items from a previous occupant in it.

“This hotel fulfilled every expectation. It was centrally located to the various places I needed to visit across Westchester county and my room (which was very comfortable) provided me with a place to relax and rest between meetings. My interaction with the staff was limited but they appeared friendly and respected my desire for privacy, until the day I was checking out when the maid came to my room three times in less than half an hour (well before the stated check out time). Also, the room (while comfortable and well appointed) was not completely clean when I arrived and I found various small items in the room during the course of my stay. Still, this was an excellent hotel and a wonderful value.”

• The king size bed was so comfortable. The room a nice size and clean.
• The cleaning staff would leave dishes outside door for a very long time after you would call desk to send someone to clean up.

“Great place to stay with family or just business. Rooms are nice and the beds are great for your back. Bathrooms could use a vent fan and toilet bowl was a little loud. I wished my bathroom was a little larger. But bathroom was clean.”

• Pool's chemical smell permeated our first room.

“This is an older but nicely redone property located near the major highways in the area. Every member of the staff was helpful and cheerful. A big plus is the centerpiece indoor pool. The only downside, the pool's chemical smell permeated the first room we were shown. Staff quickly changed our room when I realized this would be a problem for me. The staff made the difference at this hotel.”

• It was close to where I had to go.
• Stood at desk for several minutes no one there. Clerk came out of office never asked me if I needed help. Had to ask him. Not a good beginning.

• Great king size bed, flat screen LCD TV lovers' delight!
• Lousy cable TV reception, wireless internet was poor.

“This is a popular hotel for local weddings, bar/bat mitzvah celebrations, company functions etc. It's a busy place. The free parking is ample but spread out. It's easy to find. The wireless internet was really poor I would have been upset if I didn't have my own wireless broadband account. The best part was the king size bed with lots of pillows very romantic too bad the great LCD TV was marred by really third rate cable or satellite reception on most channels.”

• Cleanliness of room and comfort of bed.
• Noisy; the walls are paper thin. You hear everything!

“Everything was going as expected when I checked in. The lobby looked nice, check in went smoothly and the room was very nice and very clean. The problem started when I shut off the TV and tried to sleep. I could hear the band at a wedding in a ballroom, I could hear everyone who walked down the hall, and I could hear the toilet flush in the rooms next door. The room bordered the indoor pool I was awoken by the sounds of kids screaming as they played in the pool. The noise issue far outweighed all of the other benefits of the hotel.”

• They "charge" for internet? And it doesn't work!

“I stay in hotels 150 nights a year for business and need internet access - this hotel had the nerve to charge for internet and it never worked - I waited 2 hrs one night for the "hotel engineer", he made a 1 min call and they fixed it - this happened each night of five nights over a 9 day period - I will never go back there”

• Plush bedding and really quite rooms- convenient location for bus travel.
• Nothing could possible be complained about.

“The hotel is extremely convenient to major highways and accessible for business travel. The rooms are fresh and very clean. The bedding is plush and so comfortable. For business travel it is just a sweet luxury after a long hard day on the road. Dining at Ruth Crist steak house is a please and it's on premise. This was a grand business trip.”

• I liked the bar. The staff was accommodating.

“I wish they had rooms were guests could smoke if they so desired! I have seen so many people go outside the hotel to have a smoke. Customers who are aware of the hazards of smoking and still desire to smoke should be able to in their rooms.”

• Hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful.
• The elevators did not work very well.

“The staff was very courteous and generous. Case in point, my girlfriend forgot her dress in the room. She called and the room services person said this kind of thing happens often and that he would return the dress to her free of charge. Why would anyone stay at a Hilton when there is a Ramada available?”

• The pillows and bed were superb and the decor was very nice. I have already looked into purchasing the same pillows we slept on.
• There really wasn't anything.

• The room was great. entrance to pool-nice.
• Pool closes at 10.pm opens at 8.ooam not good water in pool & whirlpool cold.

“I love staying at this hotel. However their policy of closeting the pool area at 10.oo pm & opening 8.oo is with cold water in pool and whirlpool is not acceptable. They said people in room in this area complain of noise. first their is no noise kids are not in pool at 9.o0 pm. pool should be poem till 11.00 pm should open At least by 6.30am for travelers who like to swim before going to work's feel I should not have to pay for my past visit David Grossman Rockville centre new York.”
