• Staff was very helpful and courteous. Called after we arrived to check on us.
• Breakfast buffet was not complimentary with room.

“Room was excellent, plenty of space for business travelers to work. Convenient location, near thruway, Tappan Zee bridge, rail line to NYC. Short drive required to get to restaurants. Overall I would recommend this as a good place to stay when visiting the area.”

• Comfortable room, helpful staff.
• Hallways were very cold. Hotel was a little out of the way.

“The hotel was very nice, with a comfortable bed, a sofa bed and plenty of fluffy pillows. The indoor pool was a nice extra, with a spa and fitness room. We enjoyed the spa although the pool was a little chilly for my liking. The hotel offered a breakfast buffet, although we did not eat there.”

• Courtyard Marriott transferred us to Westchester Marriott due to a hot water problem. They took card of everything professionally and we had a nice stay.
• There could have been one brighter light in the bathroom for make-up.

“This is a nice family or business hotel. The rooms were quiet, clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom was very nice and new with a tub sufficient to use for a bath. The restaurant was good with a decent variety of food options which is good since there was nothing else in the near vicinity. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating, definitely a big plus. The local taxi service was always available just outside whenever we needed.”

• This hotel was very clean and the furnishings were attractive.
• There was a used bar of soap in the shower and a bottle top that fell behind the toilet that was also missed by the cleaning staff.

• The rooms were huge and clean, beds comfortable, furnishings attractive, internet access free and the grounds pretty.
• There is only one elevator, so you have a long walk to get to your room if you use the elevator instead of the stairs.

“It's a great hotel, with large, pretty rooms that have ample and attractive furnishings. The grounds are pretty as well. The breakfast was decent, although there was some confusion among the guests about whether breakfast was included in the room rate. Internet access is free in the room but you need to access it with cables provided by the hotel (look in the closet for them) and there's free wifi in the lobby. The staff was friendly. The bath products were very nice, water pressure great, fixtures attractive. Overall a great hotel.”

“We usually stay at the Wellesley in Elmsford. It is an old and nasty hotel. We were very pleased with the Comfort Inn in Tarrytown. As business travelers, my wife and I appreciate a nice hotel at a decent price.”

• Nice bed, comfortable, clean.
• Kids running through hallways after midnight hours, kicking doors, basically partying in the hallway, ice machine broken on floor.

“Hotel was nice but my room seemed to be in the wrong section's made a complaint about the noise but it just wasn't satisfied it was to late that night and to much hassle to move to another room so I delta with it, but nice hotel I would stay again but made in a more quiet part of the facility.”

• Patio for the room, off-site restaurant room service availability.
• Understaffing of restaurant. The single hostess/waitress couldn't keep up.

“Generally it was a very nice business hotel. Rooms and public area were well kept. Hot water was out the night of our arrival. A call to the front desk indicated it was being addressed. It was fixed by morning.”

• The bathroom, there was no tub.

“The hotel was nice. Staff was nice. Amenities met my overnight purpose. The only unfortunate thing was the person at the counter spelled my name incorrectly and said I did not have a reservation there. I did not have my confirmation number and had to get off the line to log onto their computer for my confirmation number. Once he received it, he admitted he spelled it wrong when checking me. He was very apologetic and kind about which I liked.”

• I liked the cleanliness, and the room size and layout.
• There was no refrigerator and no microwave.

“The hours indicated in the room manual for the breakfast buffet was incorrect, so we ended up going down to breakfast late. The staff members yelled to us that they were closed, with no apology, and no suggestions as to where we can get breakfast from in that area. We are not from that area so any information would have helped us.”

“I appreciated the excellent customer service that was extended. Additionally I truly felt the room was clean. Those are always the 2 biggest issues for me in any lodging. This hotel was outstanding in both.”

• Very nice shower was isolated from vanity mirror.
• High humidity in room could not be removed.

“This hotel is nice but the help does not seem too friendly. There was no apology when another guest was given the key to our room. Their excuse was a power failure. Buffet @ $13.00 seems overpriced. The room seemed excessively damp. On the good side, the room was laid out nicely for business travelers; has one of the best showers I've ever encountered.”

• Close to shopping, clean, good sized rooms, easy parking.
• No restaurant, poor vending, whirlpool out of order, hard to find.

“Basically a good stay, but nothing special. The small "pantry" where they sell snacks, etc. isn't very good at all. Poor selection. The pool was cold and the whirlpool was out of order for a week (at least). The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, as well as housekeeping.”

• Convenient to NYC and Hudson Valley attractions.
• Pool was an unsupervised kid free-for-all (no parents or staff to be found).

“The Tarrytown Courtyard is an affordable yet top-flight hotel only fifteen minutes driving distance from NYC (on weekends/traffic not withstanding). The free Internet access (with laptop) is a refreshing non-nickel and dime approach which my family appreciates (so many other chains charge a minimum of $10 per day).”

• No that many elevators to access the higher floors, had to walk around facility several times to get to my room

“I thought the receptionist would give me a room with its full access to my deaf needs. She didn't get what I want. I also requested a king bed and I ended up with two full size beds. I was disappointed when I woke up and was ready for breakfast, they closed at 10AM. I also didn't have any TV guide book or else that I would like to know the channels of TV. I had to stroll all channels.”

• Non smoking room smelled like smoke, ants in bathroom and noisy neighbor complaint was not dealt with.

• It was difficult to find off the highway.

• It was very clean, had a nice indoor pool and Jacuzzi, and was near by to many restaurants, etc.
• Did not like the two double beds, would have liked one king size bed better.

“On a scale of one to 10, 10 the best and 1 the worst I would rate it an 11! The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on, and when one travels, a comfy bed is a must. Very 1st rate and far as decor, amenities, nice Jacuzzi & pool. Just a excellent place to stay for the money. I plan on staying in this hotel again.”

• Disabled access limited in "accessible" room, tub was not non-slip, shower head and hair dryer not reachable to wheelchair-bound patron.

“I enjoyed the features of the hotel - especially the pool and whirlpool, online access in the lobby and the general attractiveness of room. I was given an accessible room but found disabled access somewhat limited - tub was not non-slip, shower head and hair dryer not reachable to wheelchair-bound patron. Also the in-room coffee machine was uncleaned when I went to use it. In the pool area there was thick mold on the ceiling and a totally wet floor _ I wonder if there is a problem with the de-humidifying of that room. I enjoyed my stay but there are a few things needing attention. I also would prefer that breakfast was included in the price of the room - in most other hotels in the area it is.”

• The staff was extremely friendly. They are all about service. Great value for your travel dollar.
• No Continental breakfast. No bottle opener in room.

“I was in town for a family funeral and got the room. I was not expecting much. I was greeted by a friendly staff and clean lobby then went to my well appointed very clean room. Thoughtfully the heat was on as well as a light (nice touch). It was easy to relax during a real hectic time. Great experience. I will be back.”
