“The lobby and fitness room were fine, having just undergone a $45 million renovation. However, the hotel was virtually empty, and they put us way in the back of the hotel, at the end of a long hallway, right next to the exit door. The carpeting in the room was stained and not thoroughly vacuumed. There was some trash in one of the wastebaskets, and a balled up piece of duct tape on the bathroom floor when we arrived. I was expecting much more, and would not be thrilled to get this hotel again. Hard to see where they spent $45 million.” Jan 20, 2008 by
Faye from Md, MD
“The business center is far below expectations, with malfunctioning computer and printer, no fax, no trash can, etc. For that reason, I would not choose to stay here again.” Jan 17, 2008 by
Denise from West Newbury, MA
“Easy to get to room, room was very clean and modern-bed was most comfortable. Personable staff.” Jan 6, 2008 by

“It met our needs.” Jan 5, 2008 by

“I would recommend this hotel to relatives, friends even when it was the Tarrytown Hilton.” Jan 1, 2008 by
Philip from Middlesex, VT
“Very nice hotel for exploring the Westchester area. Easy access from major roadways. Well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds. Ask for a room away from the construction so that the noise doesn't wake you in the morning.” Dec 26, 2007 by
Pete from Macungie, PA
“This hotel was the Tarrytown Hilton for many years and reopened as the new doubletree just two weeks before our stay. It's an older building but newly renovated. Located right at the entrance to the Tappan zee bridge and i287 it has great access to major highways and shopping/dining. An incredible value for the money for accommodations in lower Westchester county.” Jun 13, 2005 by
John from Park City, UT
“Dated hotel that is not clean. There are stains on the carpet and scratches on the furniture. There is mildew on the grout. My window was broken. The climate control system is not effective, dusty, and noisy. It's not even close to Hilton Hotel family standards - most Hampton Inns blow away this dump. The room service sandwich was unbelievably bad. The chips were stale almost to the point of being soggy. The tomatoes in the sandwich had a 'rotten taste'. The house white wine was oxidized.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 10, 2005 by

“This is not a 3 star hotel. It need a lot of work. WE had 3 rooms booked and something was broken in every room.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 5, 2005 by

“The hotel is dated and not very clean. The bar food is expensive and poor. There is no shelf space in the bathroom. The windows were broken and I had to move rooms. Both rooms were noisy.I came in late and had a 'do not disturb' sign until 10:00 am - they never came back to make up the room. The bar food was expensive and of poor quality. This is the worst of the 'Hilton' brand hotels I have ever stayed in.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 3, 2005 by

“The welcome at the Front Desk seemed genuinely warm and the warm cookie as part of the welcome was different. Very good accomodations.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 26, 2005 by

“I don't know if I would consider the room itself to be a three star but considering the area it was in and the facilities they have available it was good for the money I paid.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 25, 2005 by

“convenient and easily accessable..grounds very nice..hotel needs a makeover, but overall, very satisfactory.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 25, 2005 by

“Overall, it is obvious that the hotel is pretty old. The condition of the common areas was in good shape and nicely decorated. The room was a slight disappointment. I don't believe that it should be listed under 3 stars because it doesn't meet that standard. Although quiet, the stains on the chair and on certain areas of the carpet was something that I did not expect. The mold and lack of decorative appeal in the bathroom was indeed a turn off. I did enjoy the fitness center, but the fact that it was in the same location as the indoor pool made the environment smell like chlorine and very humid. Overall the experience was mediocre. I have seen better.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.May 25, 2005 by

“This hotel is definitely in need of renovations. On the scale of 1 to 10, I give the restaurant staff and the quality of food a 2!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 25, 2005 by

“This hotel appears to be about to undergo major renovations.Meanwhile, the room was small, the bathroom was very small; I felt it was not one of my better values.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 22, 2005 by

“I stayed in this hotel years ago when it was a Hilton. I realize that Doubletree is a Hilton Brand but it must have been given the 'Doubletree' designation as a downgrade. There were stains on the carpet. The furniture was scratched and worm. There was a condom wrapper in the toilet! The bed spreads were old. There was the remants of a mini-bar in the room - when I opened it - it was musty and dirty. The bathroom is small and needs updated. The courtyard area is nice but could use improved landscaping (the door leading to the outside needed painting). The gym is okay by hotel standards. The restaurants and bars are okay. This hotel simply isn't up the Hilton Family of hotels - this is the worst Hilton hotel I've ever seen (I travel 96 days a year). ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 21, 2005 by

“Excellent location, but my room on the ground floor seemed to lack overall quality including dated, poor condition furniture and dated bathroom fixtures. Carpet had some stains on it.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.May 17, 2005 by

“Hotel was convenient and fairly clean. Bathrooms needed upgrading and a little more attention to detail. Close to Tarrytown and Irvington, both delightful towns.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 12, 2005 by

“if you are in the area to visit the Lyndhurst or Kykuit estate this hotel makes the ideal base. You can walk to Lyndhurst from the Doubletree.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 8, 2005 by

“This hotel is not a top notch hotel. 3 of the lights in the room didn't have bulbs in them. This facility needs a upgrade in the rooms.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 23, 2005 by

“This hotel had no elevators so we had to drag our luggage up a flight of stairs.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 23, 2005 by

“I was extremely disappointed. This is not a 3 star hotel. After renovations, maybe it will be a 3 star hotel. The hallways had a bad odor. The bathroom was very small, needs updating. The furnishings need to be upgraded. The pool furnishings looked very well used. It just was not a 3 star hotel!!” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 20, 2005 by

“We stayed for my birthday. The staff are very friendly and nice. My son enjoyed the indoor pool very much. Everything was so nice but I though the buffet breakfast at the hotel was a little expensive and TV did not have HBO or Showtime which was disappointed. Also, maybe, the room does not have sound proof. People in the hall was noisy late at night.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 20, 2005 by
Katha from Shelton, CT
“After calling the hotel and confirming I would not be there until 4:00AM or so, I arrived at 4:30 AM and they had me down as a no show. It took 20 minutes to find me a room. I got to the room around 5:00AM and had to get a 9:30AM wake-up call. They should have done better. The room was already paid for.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 19, 2005 by

“Good location but old decor. Some of the furnishings were very old and broken. The dresser in my room had a broken drawer. Still, it was OK for the money.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 3, 2005 by
Jim from Pittsford, NY
“The hotel was in an excellent location to I-287 and 87, making it easy to get to Westchester or NY. The Hotel has been added on to over the years and the elevators are not clearly marked. I found myself wandering aimlessly to try to get to my room and back to the lobby. The rooms are in need of an update. The bathroom shower pressure was poor and there was no blow dryer. I would have expected more from a Doubletree/Hilton establishment. You get what you pay for.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 25, 2005 by

“This is not a 3 star facility or a four star facility. Paint peeling throughtourt the outs dies of the bulding, wall paper coming away from the wall in the room. Hope you get the picture, I have stayed at this hotel in past years and this facility has gone down hill with a rock around it's neck.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 10, 2005 by
Bob from Fairfax, VA “ok, but old with small and poorly kept bathrooms, carpeting only a little above shabby. Good location, staff is good, ok place to sleep, but not a place to enjoy spending time.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 20, 2005 by

“This is perhaps the best hotel in the area. It is close to the freeways and the only drawback I saw was the lack of quality restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was fine and the price I received was reasonable, even for a student to afford.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 20, 2005 by

“Conrad Hilton must be turning over in his grave. This property is a disgrace to the Hilton name. Jan 16, 2005 by

“If you like older hotels it is fine. The Hampton Inn is just as good and in some case better value.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 6, 2004 by
Sean F. from Carlisle “This hotel is not up to Hilton standards and certainly is not a 3 star hotel. The hotel is 40 years old and everything in it (e.g. fixtures) are original. The rooms are very noisy.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 2, 2004 by
Howard S. from Plantation “More like a country inn than a major hotel, the Tarrytown Hilton was quaint and quiet over the weekend. Nice indoor pool solarium and fitness center combined. Quiet bar, even during Sunday Football games. Did not dine there, but rather at local restaurants. Good diner right across the street. Easy access to the highway....a pleasant snd helpful staff.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 23, 2004 by
Hetty M. from Lewisburg “I have stayed in this hotel twice. Would stay there again. This in an older Hilton and the hotel could use some work.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 20, 2004 by
Barbara R. from Valrico, FL “It is an older hotel that looks a litter tired, but the rooms are nice and clean.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 9, 2004 by
Teresa B. from New Knoxville “The hotel was very accommodating. Being close to New York City hotel was not very knowledgeable of the taxi, bus etc. services for the guests. Food prices were very expensive compared to others.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 5, 2004 by
E D. from Glassboro, NJ “The commode overflowed, and while engineering was great and corrected the problem, housekeeping never came to help with the mess. I complained, and was deeply dissatisfied with the response I was given.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
