• Staff was very helpful, bed was super comfortable, location was great.
• Room was a little small (lack of space for suitcases, etc), dark rooms, old fashioned TV.

“Overall I think this hotel is really great for travelers. It's in a great location in mid-town Manhattan, the staff was great (front desk, concierge, and doormen). Comfortable bed, quiet, but room was on the small side.”

• The hotel staff were extremely friendly & efficient. No charge to store bag prior or post check-in/out.
• No coffee maker in the room.

“ The hotel was comfortable, clean & friendly. My stay was quiet through the night and the staff did an excellent job at check-in, check-out and in between. The hotel stored our luggage for no charge. The only thing missing was the coffee maker, it would have been nice to have coffee in the room without having to spend $7 from the hotel restaurant.

• The location is fantastic. Comfortable bed.
• It's not modern at all. I don't think it should rate a 4-star. Not much counter space in the bathroom.

“For the money, I don't think I'd stay there again. However, if I could get a room there for less money per night than I paid, I'd think about staying there again because the location was excellent.”

“This is the best hotel I've stayed in NYC, front desk, concierge and room service are all excellent. Location is great. If you join the club member (which is free), you can have get free wifi in your room, otherwise it's free in the lobby area only. Every time after we left our room, they will clean the room again, which means the room could be cleaned several times during a day. Their service is great!”

“The hotel anticipated our arrival and the room was ready so there was a speedy check-in. Superb customer service. They allowed us to check in an hour early. My request for double beds was granted. The Omni Berkshire Place was the absolute BEST.”

“While I expected a bit more of a 5 star hotel, this hotel has been updated and has a very welcoming ambiance. Staff is courteous and anxious to help - especially appreciated the concierge and the room service people were both invisible and extremely helpful.”

• Location and a really nice hotel overall.
• The car the doorman got us to the airport when we asked for a cab, didn't take credit cards and didn't tell us ahead of time.

• Location was fabulous; concierge desk very helpful and knowledgeable.
• Small rooms, no view, with cumbersome armoire, with small (19 in) old fashioned TV.

“Hotel location is fabulous and the overall ambiance is wonderful. As with any hotel, there are rooms that are smaller and face into the courtyard with only a view of the building under construction next door.”

• It was charming, clean, elegant, beautiful bath and Bedroom. The restaurant was superb. Most important, the most comfortable bed I ever slept on.
• There wasn't anything I did not like.

• The doorman & valet service.
• Housekeeping showed up at 8pm one night to clean the room.

“Attractive hotel in midtown near big shopping and big attractions. Excellent home base for sight-seeing, central park, and the finest of shopping. Clean building and friendly, informative staff willing to help. The housekeeping department seemed unorganized.”

• Very clean, quick check in and out.
• I was assigned a room looking across an alley at a high rise being renovated. I was concerned about construction noise.

“See did not like comments. There was no construction noise but the building across the alley did catch on fire putting smoke into the Omni. The fire was immediately outside my 8th floor window. The hotel was not evacuated. The firemen kept me up until 2:00AM.”

• Slow bell man check out.

“Overall it was very pleasant. Excellent desk check in and maid service. Excellent check in and check out service. Bellman held my bags for a few hours. When I returned to leave for the airport, he was a bit slow at retrieving my bags. Made me a bit nervous about missing my flight.”

“The hotel is overall very good. Location is exceptional close to 5th avenue and central park. Rooms are good as well. only the bathroom is a bit small for a 4 stars hotel but it was very clean. If we would have the choice, we would stay at Omni Berkshire again.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• Rooms were small and cramped.

“While the amenities of the hotel were very nice (comfortable bed, bathrobes provided, granite counter tops), the rooms were very small and the bathroom had almost no counter space and poor lighting. And the staff was very friendly, but requests had to be repeated and housekeeping knocked on our door to ask when we were checking out that seemed a little rude when it was hours before check-out time. The location is great, Time Square and the Subway are easy walking distance. We had a nice stay, but I would probably rate this hotel 3 stars instead of 4.”

• Everything was great and have no complaints.

“Everything about this hotel was more than I expected. The staff was kind and helpful, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked, and they even provide a turn down service. The furniture is a bit old, and the rooms are small, but not uncomfortably so, although it was a challenge to unfold the ironing board. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Location couldn't be better. Close to NYC attractions.
• One bellman gave my wife attitude about retrieving bags.

“Room: The hotel was pleasant to stay at. King sized beds were luxurious and the black out curtains made it easy to sleep in and relax. Rooms provided ample space and storage for our luggage. Service: My wife is from England and she forgot the plug adapters for her hair-dryer, straightened and laptop. One call to the front desk and an adapter was at our door in a couple minutes. Literally all but one staff member was courteous and professional. Location: You can't really ask for a better location. So close to Times Square, Broadway Shows, 5th Ave Shopping, and Central park without all of the business of crowds. For good eats, I recommend 'smilers' or 'smileys' on the corner of 54th and Madison. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and they have a hot and cold salad bar which has a variety of gourmet salads and exotic cuisine.”

• The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff was prompt to our needs.
• We thought we ordered double beds, but received a king. It might of been because we got in late.

“We were very pleased with everything about the Hotel including the price considering it is NY. It was close to everything also. The only thing I can think of that might not appeal to some is that it did not have a pool. It did not make a difference for me. I did not go to NY to swim in a Hotel pool. When I go back I will book with them again.”

• Without request upgraded us to a bigger room.
• Street fair was in front of hotel upon arrival, made for confusion on check-in not hotels issue.

“This was a great experience from the initial call to request 2 double beds, vice one king until we checked out. My husband who never tips valets or doormen, actually felt it necessary. Room and bathroom, were very big by NY standards. Location was great. Definitely recommending to friends.”

“Omni Berkshire is a beautiful hotel located steps from the world famous Fifth Avenue and just 10 minutes from Central Park. The hotel is located just minutes walk to many midtown landmarks, like Times Square, Rock Center, Radio City, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station etc. If location is important, this is the place to be.”

• Beautiful, convenient, exceptional staff and friendliness!
• Limited menu at restaurant.

“The hotel room was beautiful. Loved the personal robes. The staff was gracious and accommodating. Location was perfect for Times Square, Central Park, all amenities. Short cab ride to all locations. Valet parking was reasonable and the doormen were awesome!”
