“While the amenities of the hotel were very nice (comfortable bed, bathrobes provided, granite counter tops), the rooms were very small and the bathroom had almost no counter space and poor lighting. And the staff was very friendly, but requests had to be repeated and housekeeping knocked on our door to ask when we were checking out that seemed a little rude when it was hours before check-out time. The location is great, Time Square and the Subway are easy walking distance. We had a nice stay, but I would probably rate this hotel 3 stars instead of 4.” Aug 30, 2008 by
Alicia from Woonsocket, RI
“Everything about this hotel was more than I expected. The staff was kind and helpful, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked, and they even provide a turn down service. The furniture is a bit old, and the rooms are small, but not uncomfortably so, although it was a challenge to unfold the ironing board. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Damian from Philadelphia, PA
“An overall good experience, but the price is a little too high on a per night basis vs. other Four Star hotels in NYC.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Dan from Boca Raton, FL
“Expect the worst and you'll be ok.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Donna from Monroe, NC
“The hotel room was small dusty and dark; the linens were stained and frayed; the room phone and lamp did not work. I was very disappointed with this hotel.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Yonah from Ny, NY
“Mediocre, definitely not a 4 star hotel.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Chris from Nepean, ON CA
“Room: The hotel was pleasant to stay at. King sized beds were luxurious and the black out curtains made it easy to sleep in and relax. Rooms provided ample space and storage for our luggage. Service: My wife is from England and she forgot the plug adapters for her hair-dryer, straightened and laptop. One call to the front desk and an adapter was at our door in a couple minutes. Literally all but one staff member was courteous and professional. Location: You can't really ask for a better location. So close to Times Square, Broadway Shows, 5th Ave Shopping, and Central park without all of the business of crowds. For good eats, I recommend 'smilers' or 'smileys' on the corner of 54th and Madison. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and they have a hot and cold salad bar which has a variety of gourmet salads and exotic cuisine.” Aug 9, 2008 by
Greg from Goordrich, MI
“We were very pleased with everything about the Hotel including the price considering it is NY. It was close to everything also. The only thing I can think of that might not appeal to some is that it did not have a pool. It did not make a difference for me. I did not go to NY to swim in a Hotel pool. When I go back I will book with them again.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Karen from Fonthill, ON CA
“This was a great experience from the initial call to request 2 double beds, vice one king until we checked out. My husband who never tips valets or doormen, actually felt it necessary. Room and bathroom, were very big by NY standards. Location was great. Definitely recommending to friends.” Aug 1, 2008 by
Peter from Mississauga, ON CA
“Omni Berkshire is a beautiful hotel located steps from the world famous Fifth Avenue and just 10 minutes from Central Park. The hotel is located just minutes walk to many midtown landmarks, like Times Square, Rock Center, Radio City, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station etc. If location is important, this is the place to be.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Marcella from Westerville, OH
“The hotel room was beautiful. Loved the personal robes. The staff was gracious and accommodating. Location was perfect for Times Square, Central Park, all amenities. Short cab ride to all locations. Valet parking was reasonable and the doormen were awesome!” Jul 23, 2008 by
Anthony from Lake St. Louis, MO
“Pleasant interior with a good bar. Good location to Times Square and Central Park. Clean and quiet.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Dave from Brooklyn, NY
“I wouldn't recommend this to anyone for anything slightly modern. The furniture and decor are what you'd expect to find in a Holiday Inn circa 1999.” Jul 2, 2008 by
Mary from Fairfax, VA
“I would give the hotel an excellent review for the cleanliness of the rooms - friendly staff - convenient location. I appreciated the good pillows and quality bed!” May 29, 2008 by
Dave from Ottawa, ON CA
“Standing at Lex and 50th, the original W is a great base for exploring both the shopping on 5th and Madison Avenues, Rockefeller Plaza and Times Square/Broadway Theatres. Proximity to the underground also means you can be in the heart of edgy SoHo in just a few minutes. The hotel itself has a great youthful vibe, and the lobby and public spaces have a modern up to date feel. The guest rooms are undergoing a gradual renovation which appears to be working its way down from the upper floors of the hotel, and if money is no object, the E-Wow suite at this hotel is stunning. This W is for you if you like a happening scene a step removed from the tourist Mecca at Times Square. If you want a genteel lobby and high tea, look elsewhere.” May 24, 2008 by
Susan from Ottawa, OH
“This was a nice hotel. The view from our room was of a building under construction and the TV was in an awkward place. Overall the hotel was nice, the staff was excellent and it was in a great location.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Scott from Richmond, VA
“Perfect for shoppers going to Bergdorf Saks Madison Ave and 5th avenue shops. It is a nice clean hotel with good concierge and room service. All staff were very pleasant, but there was no pizzas. I was surprised it got a AAA 4 star rating because the TVs are old as is the decor.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Susan from Minneapolis, MN
“I will never return to that hotel, I will never recommend it to any one.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 5, 2008 by

“Excellent hotel overall. Great location and helpful staff.” Oct 24, 2007 by
Krisha from Philadelphia, PA
“The hotel was beautiful. I like walking in and seeing those beautiful red delicious apples. We had one several times the two days we were there, and they were good and healthy. The entire staff greeted us and made us feel welcome. They were all professional and very friendly, and I felt right at home being there. I just think that the room service fee is a little on the expensive side. The food was excellent though. I cant wait to visit New York again, because this is where I/we will be staying. Stay there for yourself. You won't be disappointed.” Oct 3, 2007 by
Maura from Hooksett, NH
“Omni is the place to stay. Superior from the service to the quality of the room. Truly a "white bathrobe" hotel. I cannot wait to return. The location is perfect and every bit of our stay could not have been better. Don't think twice, this is the place to stay. We will be back and omni will be our choice!” Oct 3, 2007 by
Rick from Monterey, CA
“This hotel was good, but not great. Perhaps if the scaffolding had been off the facade and if we'd had a room on a higher floor (we were on the 6th floor) or away from the street (we faced 52nd street, a supposed upgrade?) Then the jackhammers that started at 8am on Saturday morning might not have been quite so jarring. Housekeeping failed to replenish bathroom amenities and the window had some previous guest's nose prints all over it. The room was nicely furnished, spacious and comfortable, but I would probably stay elsewhere when next in New York city. This hotel is not of the same standard as the Omni in San Francisco, which is a great hotel at about half the price, although I understand that NYC hotel costs can't really compare.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 29, 2007 by

“This hotel is family friendly and close to all. My daughter was very sick and could not board the plane; The hotel was very helpful by making a room available for us at this very busy time of year.” Apr 5, 2007 by
Debra &. from Middletown, DE
“We were very pleased with the hotel, use your help desk for any info for the area and also the subways were very helpful to travel far distances also cabs were very economical. We also like that there were several breakfast places close by and a pub or two for a late night drink but not far away maybe a block or two.” Apr 2, 2007 by
Martina from Media, PA
“This was a great hotel. We also loved the restaurant. We have not one complaint here. A true 4 star.” Mar 29, 2007 by
Nick from Dallas, TX
“Expensive hotel, but very nice, even compared to other nice hotels in the area. Good location and professional staff who treat you right, which is very hard to find in NY. You certainly notice why you spent the extra dollars.” Mar 28, 2007 by
Laura from Manchester, CT
“When we arrived they told me the two queens were not available, only a king. Since we had four people in our party that would not work. They gave us a junior suite with a king and two cots. The room was spacious and clean and delightful. Also, the doormen were extremely kind and helpful.” Apr 12, 2006 by
Lynn from Niantic, CT
“We had requested from you 2 rooms with two double beds, we called the number on the form you sent us and 2nd requested. When we got there, she had no double beds to give us, we were very upset as we called the number you gave us to verify, the girl at the desk told us the number you give on the form is not really their phone number. That was very upsetting. The hotel was ok except for every time you took a shower water leaked all over, there was no way to stop this as the floor of the shower is flat and equal to the floor of the bathroom.” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Feb 16, 2005 by

“Relatively small, upscale hotel. Well kept and clean. Excellent location, and good services.” Feb 2, 2005 by
Steve from Avon, CT
“The room was small, but adequate and clean. Virtually no street noise heard, even from third floor. Front desk and housekeeping friendly and helpful. Prices for breakfast ridiculous. Convenient to MOMA and theater district. We'd stay there again.” Jan 20, 2005 by
Karyn from Evanston, IL
