“It was in the perfect area of Midtown with restaurants, drugstores, and shops nearby. The subway was right around the corner too. The view was fabulous and everything was super clean. The staff was very helpful and I certainly felt it was worth the price.”

• Wonderful location, walking distance to many things. Morning restaurant has good buffet, great staff. Great value for money.
• I felt the front desk staff was less than helpful.

“Wonderful hotel one block from Lexington, close to 5th Ave shopping. Walking distance to many things. I went for a girls long weekend and we had a great time. Hotel is clean and very nice. The restaurant staff were absolutely delightful. Front desk staff though are not helpful, and you have to make requests several times to get service, unfortunately.”

• Staff was wonderful, very clean and location is one I hadn't stayed in before but now will stay on the East Side of Manhattan now !

• Location to sights we wanted to see.
• The breakfast bar was $18.00 per person, no fridge.

“The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff always greeted you upon entering and leaving. We had 3 in our party. Room had 1 king and a sleeper sofa. There was no continental breakfast (breakfast bar at $18 per person), only a small coffee pot in the room. There was no fridge in the room either. Overall I would stay here again, I would just bring a cooler and some snacks.”

• Rooms are larger than typical Manhattan hotel rooms
• No complaints

“The staff is friendly and helpful but stay our of your way. The location is GREAT. The rooms are clean & larger than what you typically find in Manhattan hotels priced much higher. It's no boutique, modern, or ultra hip hotel but it is extremely functional for work or people traveling on more of a budget.”

“Everything was very nice. But the day we arrived, the entire hotel was without hot water. We were told it should be beckon by 4pm. However it didn't come back. Needless to say after traveling for a few days, we were looking forward to a nice hot shower. I know some things are out of your control. This will not deter me from staying again. Linens were fabulous, staff was very nice.”

• The night security would give evil looks to people coming to visit after 3am.werent being noisy. No need for it.

• I asked repeatedly for a fridge at 3pm, took until 11pm.

“Nice staff except for at night the two security people gave weird looks to my company that came in after 2am.this is new Yorks should be able to have guests at that time without the interrogation look, especially if I took the time to go down and let them in. Clean room. Spacious enough. Nice color combos thought. Friendly staff otherwise. Overall good except for those two staff members.”

• Friendly front desk staff! Spacious room. Walking distance from attractions like American Girl Place and not far from Times Square.
• Couldn't work the ac/heater and I froze all night!

“This hotel was perfect for a family vacation! I traveled with my husband and kids and a family friend, and we all enjoyed staying here. The rooms were spacious and meticulously clean. The location felt very safe. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. And to top it off, it was an easy walk away from American Girl Place (big bonus for my daughters) and not far from Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, and Central Park. We would definitely recommend the Courtyard Marriott Midtown East to other travelers.”

“Surprisingly great location for the price I paid. A block from several subway lines, so perfect location in NYC. Doormen were friendly and helpful. Downside was small, dark lobby that was packed upon arrival. Second downside was customer call-in # was slow to pick up my call so I had to call back 2 times to get through. Receptionists were fairly helpful though.”

“Great place, but very simple and clean, but not a lot of amenities and no pool. Did not try restaurant. Subway right outside and a great buffet deli just south on 3rd St. called Azure. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Concierge is very good.”

“I was waiting for my daughter whom I have not seen for a long time and the staff bent backwards to make my stay very comfy. During my breakfast at the cafe the manager was around checking the staff's performance. I will be back again. I lived for 23 years in NYC (2 decades ago I moved to Virginia).”

• $45 valet a day. But if you walk its no problem.

• The guy, Mark, who checked me into my room was such a delight and very sweet.
• I liked everything, but I would like to see a couple more computers added on the 12th floor for the guests.

“This is one of my favorite hotels in Manhattan. It is centrally located by the Subway which is perfect. The staff are always very helpful; specifically, Mark on the evening shift was really kind. This hotel is super clean and appealing.”

• Since I was there for a visit to Sloan Kettering, this hotel was in the perfect location.
• We could not add days to our stay, but were forced to move to a different hotel.

• The set up of the room was excellent. Very comfortable and clean.
• When we called to retrieve our vehicle from valet, they failed to deliver it on time.

“We had a wonderful time in new York because of the hotel, but, we also were disappointed because the front desk failed to advise valet to deliver our vehicle and we missed a show. We were not happy about this and the front desk only had an attitude when I refused to pick it up. Otherwise, the other staff members were friendly and helpful. We were even allowed to leave our luggage after checkout, for as long as we wanted. Their chocolate chip cookies were excellent at check in too! Nice touch!”
