“Room was very clean, modern furnishings and nice size. Loved being able to exit onto either 56th or 57th street, especially on the one rainy day.” Jul 13, 2009 by
Robert from Kew Gardens,NY
“A great hotel in the best location in New York. Close to shopping, the theater, Central Park, Jul 7, 2009 by
Kim from Natick,MA
“I traveled with my children (ages 7 and 12) for a 2 night/3day trip to NYC. They LOVED the hotel..TV's in the elevators, the Burger Joint with a take-out option inside the lobby, the pool on the top floor, and the location. It was a less than 10 minute walk to Central Park..and we easily traveled everywhere by Subway or walking.” Jul 2, 2009 by
Roland from Yorba Linda,CA
“Location & view.” Jun 16, 2009 by
Hal from Indialantic, FL
“Great hotel, period. We had a very nice, spotless room on the 38th floor. The view was the best we've had anywhere in NYC, overlooking Central Park. The staff (and the concierge in particular) was always helpful and competent. The Burger joint was fun, and the ground floor bar is very romantic. The location was excellent, between Central Park and Times Square. Okay, the bed was lumpy, but that was the only negative. We've stayed in some nice hotels in NYC, but this is one we'll return to.” Jun 1, 2009 by
from Portland,OR
“Would go again for less money. Not up to the scale of a four star hotel. Location is great.” May 7, 2009 by
Susan from Sharon,PA
“Great location, close to central park and a good shopping mall. Nicely decorated rooms with comfortable beds. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.” Apr 16, 2009 by
Belle from Montreal,Canada
“Good hotel, good service and great location.” Apr 12, 2009 by
Leo from Riverview,FL
“Great location, beautiful facilities. Great burger joint.” Mar 30, 2009 by
Larry from Nashville,TN
“The mattress is poor, the carpets dirty and the room does not have a flat screen television. If a room does not have a flat screen you know it hasn't been re-freshed in years - hence everything else is poor as well.” Mar 28, 2009 by
Lynnore from York,PA
“Great for a quick trip. Make sure to go to the top floor, where the pool is, and go outside. Great views. Very nice staff. The rooms were a little tight maybe but still comfortable.” Dec 23, 2008 by
Slava from Pittsburgh,PA
“This hotel is everything you would want in a Manhattan Hotel except the bed was not comfortable so if you have any back problems and need a supportive or even adequately supportive bed, then look elsewhere. If they changed the beds it would be overall great.” Dec 17, 2008 by
Jerrie from North East,MD
“Great location - short walking distance to everything: Central Park, excellent shopping, Russian Tea Room, Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Plaza etc. Lovely modern looking room, clean, comfortable platform bed, good view of Central Park. Do visit the pool on the Penthouse even if you don't swim it has an excellent city view. Would recommend to all types of travelers. I had two small girls with me and they enjoyed the hotel and the staff was very welcoming to all of us. Highly recommend this hotel.” Dec 11, 2008 by
Peter from Bethesda,MD
“The hotel is ideal for the traveler needing a high end, safe, well located midtown location. The staff was friendly, central park is very close by. Dec 2, 2008 by
Carol from Baltimore,MD
“They provided both at no extra charge, and even after adding all our luggage there was still enough room to move around comfortably. The pool on the 42nd floor was wonderful after a cold morning watching the Thanksgiving Day parade. The location two blocks from Central Park, Broadway, and 5th Avenue is unmatched. We stayed at the Parker Meridian about 10 years ago when the rooms were newly renovated, and the decor holds up well although it didn't impress as much this time around. There were a few missteps; there were no sheets for the cot on the first night, the soap in the bathtub had been used, and the fridge was packed with drinks. I removed a few drinks from the fridge and stuffed all our food into a corner. The missing drinks (which I returned to the fridge at the end of our stay) were automatically charged to my bill but I had no trouble removing the charge on checkout. All the staff was warm and knowledgeable, without exception, from bellhops to check-in to Norma's (expensive but tasty) to check-out. Hotel parking is $60/nt for an SUV or minivan. I priced a few neighboring garages and ended up paying $38/nt three blocks west of the hotel; there's just no on-street parking in the area.” Oct 22, 2008 by

“Great tip. The small burger restaurant is excellent. Hotel guests can call ahead and then pick them up without waiting in line.

“Le Parker Meridien was a great choice. It's a contemporary space, and is decorated in a very clean manner. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.” Sep 25, 2008 by

“Great location. Great Service. Sep 24, 2008 by

“The lobby is modern with elements of decor it is functional enough. The rooms were nice but small with good overall views from both sides of the hotel. It was not the basic amenities that push this to the top of the list but rather location that does. It is located only a few blocks from Central Park and other Manhattan greats.” Sep 22, 2008 by
Cindy
“This hotel exceeded our expectations. We traveled as a family of 4 for a quick 4 day New York Weekend. The room was clean, the location was convenient and the staff was very helpful. I asked for a double room but they recommended we take the king room for comfort since the double beds are really twins. They were right, we were much more comfortable in the king but the location of the hotel was most important and it was perfect. I highly recommend it. All staff is very friendly and helpful.” Sep 19, 2008 by
Krista
“Nice hotel, room was bigger than I thought it would be, good location - steps to Central Park, shopping, and subways; really good hamburger place in the hotel lobby; friendly staff.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Renee from Westlake, OH
“Excellent hotel. Great staff. Wonderful location.” Sep 3, 2008 by

“Enjoyed our stay very much. Found prices in Manhattan very expensive, but that's Manhattan for you.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Jay from Bellaire, TX
“There is nothing good to say about it other than its location. It wants to be a W, based on the style of the interior design and ridiculous artwork over the front desk, but the interiors are cheaply done. Glue leftover on the wallpaper, corners not painted, cheap wooden planks for the shelving in the closet, mildew on the ceiling. Plus $40 per person for coffee and Danish in the restaurant. VHS, VCRs in the rooms just makes them seem dated. Where would you rent a VHS type in Manhattan anyway? No washcloths in the room the first two days, no towels the second day either. Any reasonable hotel will respond quickly and say they're sorry, a real 4 or 5 star hotel would never have stuff like that happen. A real 4 or 5 star hotel charges a reasonably high fee per night but then doesn't nickel and dime you to death by charging for internet or breakfast or use of the business center. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.” Aug 22, 2008 by
Cherie from Northfield, NH
“It was really not a family friendly hotel.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Khalil from Toronto, ON CA
“For the weekend NY traveler, it was sufficient. You could walk to almost anywhere you wanted and the Subway was very accessible. I was disappointed that we could not check in until 3 but the cleaning staff shows up at 9 to make your room. Also, there was a VCR not a DVD player in the room. Who uses VCRs still?.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Deirdre from Sag Harbor, NY
“Overall the hotel was great. The Burger Joint was really fun and I recommend it to everyone.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Charles from Crestview, FL
“Overall great experience. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Stacey from Atlanta, GA
“The hotel was modern, clean with comfortable beds in a great part of Manhattan, very close to Central Park. Even though it has a 57th street address, if you are driving enter on the 56th street side. Parking is way too expensive. Park the car yourself.” Aug 16, 2008 by
Craig from Boca Raton, FL
“The location is great, the staff is friendly, the room had a lot of broken items, but the replaced/fixed them.” Aug 9, 2008 by
Jasbir from Surrey, BC CA
“Complimentary internet service and recommendations of nearby restaurants would be helpful. Otherwise other services were good. Got room early, excellent, cleaning staff very helpful and provided more linen. Would consider returning if we could get 2 cots and the upgrade to king size room.” Aug 8, 2008 by
C from Belleville, ON CA
“Perfect hotel for new visitors to NYC. Most major tourist sites are within a very short walk or inexpensive taxi ride. Central Park is close enough to enjoy at least one stroll daily without cutting into your itinerary. Hotel restaurants offer food for all tastes. This hotel is immaculately maintained, and the entire operation seems to run very smoothly. You will enjoy your stay. No matter what kind of traveler you are, this hotel has something for every one.” Aug 8, 2008 by
Amy from New York, NY
“I arrived at about 12:30 AM solely to sleep for the night before returning to work the next morning. The decor is very modern but the furniture is all real wood in excellent condition (spotless) with a real leather headboard and lots of wood accents throughout the room. The bath is marble. The entire room is well designed to maximize space and spacious for a midtown NYC room. Staff was very friendly despite my late hour for checking in. Definitely worth the price.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Doug from Portland, OR
“Great location. I flew a red eye and hotel was unable to accommodate an early check in. Rooms are very nice, flat screen TV etc. Internet fee is a whopping $17/day. Lobby is attractive. Staff is generally brusk and unfriendly.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Marty from White River Jct, VT
“Clean, upscale and great location.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Rich from Richmond, VA
“We stayed for an anniversary trip to NYC, and the hotel upgraded us to the tower. Our room was spacious, well appointed, and had a very large bathroom and impressive walk-in shower. The concierge was fantastic and helped us do everything, going above and beyond expectations in several respects.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Real from North Troy, VT
“The hotel was in a great location. Service was fantastic! Room was just okay. Our biggest complaint was the sink was stopped up (very slow to drain) and the mini bar (a old none working fridge) was covered with dust and mold.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Ann from Williamsville, NY
“My husband and I stayed at Le Parker Meridian for our honeymoon. The location was excellent, close to Central Park, Times Square, and other great neighborhoods and restaurants. We were very satisfied with our room and the way it was cleaned each day. You have to grab a burger at their secret burger joint in the main lobby. Fun and delicious! We would definitely stay at this hotel again.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Patrick from Montclair, NJ
“If you like ultra-mod, hip-looking place, this is certainly the place to be. Also comfortable and helpful/pleasant staff. The Chocolate Sunday Brunch was interesting, fun and pretty good. Though the waitresses could have been a lot quicker about re-filling the coffee cups. Before entering the room, there was a very musty smell in the hallway; a water stain from an apparent leak on an upper floor was on the wall and carpet. The musty smelliness and hair in the shower/bath made it seem a lot less than 4-star, despite the chic coolness of the place.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Gail from Potomac, MD
“I loved this hotel. I would return in a heartbeat. In the center of everything. A 15 min walk to Times Square. A 5 min walk to Fifth Ave. The hotel was clean and responsive. The bathroom was very big too.” Jul 17, 2008 by
Amy from Richmond, VA
“Fantastic stay. Great staff - Euro feel. They play old cartoons in the elevator.” Jul 16, 2008 by
John from St Augustine, FL
“The idea of the hotel. Too many people were crowding the front desk and too many employees behind the front desk. It should have been longer desk to accommodate people in a more efficient manner. I had some black mold on my bathroom ceiling. They upgraded me to a junior suite, which was great but that bed was not near as comfortable as my previous room. Very good.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Cristi from Frederick, MD
“A very amazing experience! From the time we were welcomed out front to valet park our car, to our request for a park view as it was our 10th wedding anniversary, the amazing service, restaurants in the hotel are all delicious as we ate at each one! Conveniently located at Central Park for our Bon Jovi concert! Truly amazing! I was very, very impressed with the hotel staff, service, and beautiful hotel. I'd do it again in a NY minute!” Jul 16, 2008 by
Mike J. from York, PA
“Upscale hotel, with convenient location for Central Park, the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and many restaurants. Rooms are comfortable, clean, spacious and well equipped. On-site restaurants and bar. Friendly and responsive staff.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Kay from Marlton, NJ
“The staff was incredibly efficient and informative. We were upgraded upon arrival to a room with a sitting area; the modem furnishings were impeccable; no city noise penetrated the room (on 11th floor). The hotel was 3 blocks from Central Park and within walking distance to Times Square. The pool was nice, but had a lot of children in it at the time; there is plenty of outdoor lounging area. I would highly recommend this hotel.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Ramesh from Edmond, OK
“Great location and clean but that's about it! Rooms are closet size. They charge for using the fitness center which I did not expect. What is most annoying is the room directory leads you to believe that the fitness center is part of the hotel and is complementary. The room closet is tiny (will not even hold a single suitcase) and does not have a door (they use a drape to cover the enclosure!). No coffee maker in the room. Definitely not a 4 star hotel! I have stayed at better 3 star hotels in Manhattan.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Sheela from Bellaire, TX
“Upon arrival we quickly determined that some of the staff was really nice and helpful and indeed they made our stay pleasant!” Jul 15, 2008 by
Sumita from Voorhees, NJ
“Upon entering the hotel, it's hard to tell what to expect. The lobby is spacious with tall columns and has lots of natural light. The people was working at the front desk were great! They were friendly, but not fake and quickly got us checked into our room. The best part - I had called the day before to ask if there was a possibility to get a room with a nice view and the woman at the front desk told me she'd try her best. When I checked into the hotel, I found out that I had been upgraded to one of the tower rooms. We had a large corner room with a view that overlooked Central Park and the city skyline! The room was retro meets modern sleek. Different, yet appealing. With all the other gadgets, we were disappointed that there wasn't an iPod dock. The concierge staff was friendly with lots of suggestions and patience. Brunch at Norma's was delicious! The orange juice is fresh, the coffee is invigorating, the eggs are fluffy, the ingredients are flavorful and the French toast is addictive. The portions are really big, but then again so is the bill. One order of OJ, coffee, eggs & French toast for 2 people was a little over $60. So come prepared to eat a lot and spend a lot.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Rich from New Rochelle, NY
“The room was very comfortable, with a great view of Central Park. The hotel was conveniently located near the Theatre District and Central Park. The staff was friendly and accommodating.”
