- Lobby chairs horribly worn, room view, TV cabinet needlessly crowded small room, and closet area isn't 4 stars at all-2 star.
“Would stay here again at right price. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was nice and clean. Location was prime. Disappointed to find out after booking that they only have king size beds-this did not work well traveling with a child. They will bring you a roll away-for an addl chg - but it is very tight in what is small room to begin with.”

- There is a charge for everything ($30 for roll-away bed).

- The Grand Hyatt lobby was phenomenal!
- I really couldn't say.
“The Grand Hyatt at Grand Central. Walked in three hours ahead of check-in time, room was ready. I had lost my credit cards prior to arrival. Everything was made very simple and easy by the clerk at the front desk. I was then brought up to my room. No fuss, no muss. Absolutely beautiful property, located right across from Cyprian!”

- Rooms and hallways need a little update.
“Great location, the hamburger "joint" is the best! Fitness center was great, however I was never told there was a $10 charge for every visit each day. This was discovered when I checked out. I would stay here again.”

- Very poor room view, even on the 16 floor.
“Ok location, two blocks from central park. Close to subway. Room was just ok I expeded more from a 4 star hotel. The view from our 16th floor was very poor, it was the building next door. The only window in the room, only had a pull down screen. So you only had two choices, open so everybody in the building could see you, or closed and the room was dark.”

- Decent size room for NY. Friendly front desk.
- Very overpriced restaurant (Normas) No real lobby or bar to meet in.
“Good location and value for money at "special prices". Clean but no real lobby. Norma's had interesting breakfast choices but always a wait and closes at 2 PM. after that only choice is the Burger Joint which has good hamburgers and fries but nothing else. Norma's is eye wateringly expensive. Better choice for breakfast or lunch is Pain Quotdien around the corner on 6th Ave.”

- Clean and safe with a great location. Great restaurants! Rooms with nice linens and good bathroom.
- Don't forget your noise machine to drown out the honking outside.
“Great place to stay in NY!!! Not ultra luxurious but very nice! It has it all for me with a Sony flat screen; great linens and pillows. The bathroom was roomy and clean with good soft towels. Fresh paint drapes and carpet in very nice condition. Great restaurants and the location are perfect. I felt very safe being by myself.”

- Neat, clean, modern, convenient location, friendly staff.
- Carpet appears a bit worn. Could smell cigarette smoke on the 19th floor sometimes.
“Overall an excellent choice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Modern, attractive decor (except the carpet in some locations needs to be tended to). One complaint: We were on the 19th floor, and even though smoking was only allowed on the top floor, we could smell it sometimes (maybe 20% of the time). Opening the windows helped. But, I would definitely stay here again, and just ask to be moved if smoke is an issue.”

- We like the lobby and easy access to either 56 or 57 St., the cartoons in the elevators and the NY Times in the morning.
- No coffee maker in the rooms, beds could be better and there was maintenance on our floor (in our first room).
“Le Parker Meridian is a lovely and modern hotel located centrally to the City Center and Carnegie Hall. Columbus Circle & Lincoln Center are fun and interesting walks away. The people who work at the hotel are friendly and helpful while the people who stay there make for excellent people-watching. Two high points: there are cartoons in the elevators and dogs are allowed. However, no coffee maker in the rooms can make one grumpy!”

“Don't let all the Central Park pictures fool you; there are maybe two floors of the hotel that actually can see the park, with the rest looking at construction. The room was minimally furnished, and somewhat cheesy. The tiny closet was a joke, with the safe taking up too much space on the floor, and a curtain for a door. The bathroom was so small it was tough to navigate with more than one person in it. The TV was a regular tube, though the screen itself was flat. Don't be fooled by the lobby and park views, this hotel's philosophy is about how much they can pull the wool over your eyes, but making the common areas look spectacular while the rooms are simply average.”

- Enjoyed the mirrored rooms. The food at the restaurants was great, both the bistro and the place in the hotel where we had breakfast.
- I thought parking was covered as part of the rate. The hotel should negotiate a free or reduced rate with a lot that is closeby.

- From the location, the restaurants, the luggage assistance, and valet service, Everything was wonderful.
- On a Saturday night it took way to long to get a cab outside of the hotel.
“I was very happy with this choice of hotel. We were going to see Wicked and the hotel was only a few blocks from the theatre. The staff was friendly and took an interest in our stay being perfect. It was nice to see that excellent service is not lost in a busy city like NYC.”

- They did not own the restaurants, they were just nearby restaurants. They did not own the pool or fitness facility,
“The hotel was just ok. They did not own any restaurants. The three restaurants just happen to be in the same or adjacent buildings not affiliated with the hotel. There was no lobby; it was a public right of way. They did not own the fitness facility. To use the fitness facility or the pool you had to walk through common areas which were very embarrassing.”

- Not enough connecting rooms; small pool; expensive.
“This is a very nice hotel in midtown, between 6th and 7th avenues; very clean but made for business travelers. No more than 2 people can even fit in each room, so a family of 4 must have 2 rooms. That said, it is a great location and near several subway stops there is a great deli for breakfast on 55th (bet 6th/7th) and supermarket (on 6th, bet 56th and 55th). If you get a good deal on the price, you cannot beat staying here for convenience!”

“Our bathtub needed Drano that they finally figured out the last day. The first several days we were basically showering in bath water because of the clog. They are also very sneaky on their internet charges; nowhere except tucked into the pages of terms and conditions you click on "I accept" do they tell you there is a charge and what the cost is. They also charged for an extra day which I got the sense was something they do as a matter of routine since the hotel has a high percentage of business travelers who probably don't check their bills. Lastly, the a/c didn't work.”

- Thermostat centrally controlled, people opened windows.
“Ok, 1st we have traveled every year x 10 to NYC for shows, and my sis used to live in Tribecca. Rarely do you find a great location, clean rooms, and sincerely nice (and accessible!) front desk staff. That doesn't happen in NYC. Upscale crowd, chic clean rooms, and ask for the Park views of floor 27 or above. Killer access to shows, good shopping (5th, etc), and theatre district. Price will kill you too, but hey, spend those US dollars while their still worth something.”

“Le Parker Meridien's location was spot on for the leisure traveler to New York. The staff was the only thing that I'd give 4-stars at this hotel; the restaurant Norma was overpriced for unimpressive fare; the room was functional but not luxurious. The location was perfect. - Theres a $200 hold that is placed on your credit card, but they did not inform us of that before hand.

- I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday when we checked in and they left her cookies & milk with a birthday card that evening.
- I was very unhappy with the room and view from the window especially since I booked it 3 months ago.
“The staff was friendly, but not overly helpful. The room wasn't very clean and I felt like I was staying at a Best Western compared to other hotels I've been to in NYC for the same price range.”

- The hamburger joint is the best!
- The employees have attitude and for no reason.
“This is a 3.5 star hotel that believes it is a four star hotel. They employees have a lot of attitude and service is good but excellent, which is what one would expect from a four star. For example it was not uncommon for our room service food to remain outside our door for more than 12 hours. Service sees the plates and tray's but does not lift a finger to pick it up. The hotel rooms are small making it is very difficult to have two or three children in one room unless two share a bed and a cot is brought in. The HamburgerJjoint is in the hotel is one of the best in the country.”

- Great location and really interesting decor. Pool is awesome for kids!
- Mini bar automatically charges you just by something being moved in it.
“Great location with a roof top indoor pool. Great views from the roof top observation deck too. Best hamburgers in New York right in the lobby! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”
