Russell from Austin,TX “This hotel would not be my first choice if I were to go back to New York. The room was too small and the bathroom was too cramped. No vanity space for sundries.” Nov 23, 2009 by
Amy from Pittsburgh,PA
“Great location, clean hotel with an excellent staff.” Nov 22, 2009 by
Craig from Maple Valley
“This was our first visit to the city. This is also the first time I have ever written a review. We were disappointed with the room for numerous reasons. Upon our arrival 5:15pm the room wasn't ready we arrived at the room the maid was still cleaning and getting the room ready, we left our bags and had to come back later. The temperature control unit heating/cooling only blew ambient air, to adjust the temp in the room I had to open a window. This wasn't the best option as this room looked out over a lower roof which supported numerous air conditioning units for the hotel, these were loud and ran constantly. The bedside lamp on the left didn't work, so if you wanted to read before bed this wasn't an option. The room was somewhat dated, carpets worn, peeling paint in the bathroom, the door had numerous areas were it was dented or scratched and they just painted over it, okay nit-picky but its what I saw. The first morning I reported these issues to the front desk, she took notes and that evening when we returned, nothing had been addressed. I am not a person who typically makes a big deal about things, these weren't life altering. Maybe I should have searched out the front desk manager to get these issues addressed, this is a very expensive hotel to stay at and everything should have been in order. Would I stay here again, not likely.” Nov 17, 2009 by
Mark from Siasconset,MA
“I was very disappointed in the room. Way too small. Very hot, no air conditioning and no way of relieving heat. My daughter and I were charged 68.00 for breakfast. This is horrible for coffee, juice, and a buffet.” Oct 26, 2009 by
Chris from San Francisco,CA
“The Sheraton towers is a very large hotel in a great location in Mid-Town Manhattan. The rooms are large for NYC hotels and are adequately outfitted. Bathrooms are small. Because of the size of the hotel, the staff is busy full-time dealing with so many people. There is no free wireless in the room, but the lobby has free wireless and a large number of computers for guests to use - this is a big plus in today's electronic age.” Oct 26, 2009 by
Rich from Amherst,Canada “Great location, nice hotel, some areas in need of renovation. Old style air conditioning in the room, temperature was hard to control, but overall a good experience.” Oct 25, 2009 by
Lynn from Baltimore,MD
“Walking distance to theatre shows.” Oct 24, 2009 by
Jon from Danbury,CT
“The biggest negative I have over this hotel is the lack of being able to adjust the room temperature to a comfortable level. Even though they had a wall unit with cooling and heating installed, you couldn't get it to cool the room when it was warm outside. I believe it has something to do with the age of this hotel and the way the heating and cooling devices work. They would greatly improve this by updating their systems.” Sep 16, 2009 by
clay from Dothan,AL
“The hotel fit a four star for New York. It was not as nice as a four star in Atlanta, but that is to be expected. The hotel met most of my expectations.” Sep 10, 2009 by
Stephanie from Albany,NY
“This was a convenient, safe hotel and made our stay in NYC more enjoyable. It has nice amenities and is within walking distance of Times Square.” Sep 3, 2009 by
Patricia from Mississauga,Canada
“Great location, clean, safe, rooms, good size for a family of four, and front desk helpful. If you are driving the parking arrangements are not very well orchestrated. You’re better to select a nearby lot (all the same parking company) and do it yourself. Other than that loved it.” Sep 3, 2009 by
Josh from Des Moines,IA
“My wife's first trip to NYC. Perfect location for many activities. Staff was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.” Aug 31, 2009 by
Eric from Alexandria,VA
“Worth the Priceline price. Not worth the sticker price, but few NYC hotels are.” Aug 30, 2009 by
Clarissa from Fredericksburg,VA
“Got a great deal on Priceline! Great location. Close to Times Square and metro. Nice clean rooms, large flat screen TV. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby.” Aug 27, 2009 by
Tracey from Alexandria,VA
“This hotel is in a great location - close to subway and other attractions. The hotel is very busy with lots of people in the lobby. The decor is a little dark but a functional room.” Aug 25, 2009 by
Tiffany from Watertown,NY
“at check in we were greeted by a friendly woman and went to our room, however when we sat on the bed, we noticed the ceiling was leaking above it, and on the pillows. so i called down to notify the desk and was treated rather rudely by the man who answered. he told me we would be moved to another room and we would have to come get our key. so we moved all of our stuff went all the way back down and had to wait in line again only to be met by a very rude woman at the desk who gave us our new room key and never so much as apologised for the inconvieince. the pillows were goose down, and so when sleeping on them, your head sinks in and they are very uncomfortable.. so i requested some firm pillows, i had to call the desk 3 different times, 3 hours apart each time until finally recieving them at 10 pm! the bathroom floor had hari all over it, and splatters of something on the walls. very far from a four star hotel.. three at best..” Aug 25, 2009 by
Chris from Frisco,TX
“This is a decent hotel, but not a 4 star hotel. Accomodations would have been fine if a/c worked and room had been properly cleaned. But the hotel is in desparate need up an upgrade in numerous rooms to bring it up to 4 star quality.” Aug 24, 2009 by
Paul from Weaverville,NC
“The staff was very good and very helpful. The location was fantastic for our trip as it was located between Times Square and Central Park where most of our destinations were located. However, the room was small for a family of four. And, the air conditioning, though working, did not adequately cool the room. The Staff tried to correct but to no avail.” Aug 24, 2009 by
Sue from Skokie,IL
“For a New York Hotel, this is very good price and location. The only draw back is that the hotel only give us king size bed. The lobby was very busy all the time, hard to find a free computer to do any work at all” Aug 23, 2009 by
Steve from East Grand Rapids,MI
“Well located sufficient hotel. Rooms are small and the HVAC is the old fashioned register with temperature and fan controls. Bathroom a bit aged.” Aug 16, 2009 by
A from Vancouver,Canada
“Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton, New York. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. The location was central and convenient. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom tub could have been cleaner. Thank you!” Jul 26, 2009 by
Marcia from Needham,MA
“Large unattractive tourist hotel that services thousands.” Jul 18, 2009 by
Mark from Hudsonville,MI
“Close to Broadway but there are many better hotels.” Jul 13, 2009 by
Neil from Sydney,Canada
“Friendly staff, great location only 3 blocks from Time Square, beds were comfortable, room well maintained but washroom was small.” Jul 12, 2009 by
Brian from Las Vegas,NV
“High rise hotel with convenient location to Central Park, Times Square, Subway system, and Broadway. The only negative was the lack of wireless internet signal in the rooms, although the lobby had access points. Bed was very comfortable and noise of city below was barely audible. Overall great cost/benefit value.” Jul 10, 2009 by
Jay from Katonah,NY
“Walk in safety to Lincoln Center, theaters, and fine restaurants.” Jul 8, 2009 by
Dan from Scottsville,NY
“Hotel was clean, had great amenities, and was in a perfect location. The only problem is that they would not honor our need for 2 double beds. This made me feel like an inferior guest because I got a discount on the room rate.” Jul 8, 2009 by
Wallace from Grand Forks,ND
“The staff was nice. The rooms were of good size. Slept well in the beds.” Jul 7, 2009 by
from Thousand Oaks,CA
“The hotel staff was very accommodating upon our arrival. We got there early morning so they stored our bags until the room was ready. Room was on the smaller side and the bathroom was OK. The bathroom door didn't close, like it had swollen up and couldn't fit. Location is amazing to midtown activities - Broadway, dining, central park, 5th Ave shopping. We would stay there again.” Jul 6, 2009 by
Shirley from West Chester,PA
“The hotel was very conveniently located - my office is on 6th Avenue and 31st and was a nice walk from this hotel. I also was able to get some shopping done on the way back through Times Square.” Jul 4, 2009 by
Katherine from Mobile,AL
“Hotel rooms were awful. Bathroom smelled badly. Had to spray disinfectant each time I went in. They added extra charges for everything like $10 to use the fitness center each day and $15 for in room internet. They gave us a generous food and beverage credit as compensation for 2 big mistakes they made, but the restaurant was slow and mediocre.” Jul 1, 2009 by
Larry from Saint Helena,CA
“Good value (for the price I got through priceline) for a tourist who wants to be at the center of many major attractions.” Jun 21, 2009 by
Denise from Vancouve from White Rock,Canada
“This hotel is in a great location and close to everything you want to do in Manhattan. The rooms were clean and the staff are great. It is a well run hotel and I would recommend it to any of my friends. If I return to Manhattan I would stay here again.” Jun 20, 2009 by
Patrick from Grand Rapids,MI
“The location was great but the hotel did not live up to the four star rating. Carpeting in halls & rooms are stained and need stretching badly. Mold in the bathroom & dust every where.” Jun 19, 2009 by
Jen from North York,Canada
“The Sheraton Hotel and Towers offers travelers a taste of comfort and luxury at an affordable price. Located within walking distance of most major attractions, this hotel meets the needs of visitors in for business or pleasure. “Great lobby area. Rooms are large for NYC hotels at similar rates.” Jun 8, 2009 by
Ana from Bh,FL “I would gladly stay in this hotel again.” Jun 7, 2009 by
Karen from Monument,CO
“In contrast to some of the negative reviews I read about this hotel before our stay, we thought it was great. For the price (we got it for per night, plus tax), in midtown, the rooms are actually pretty large. My only complaint would be the heating/cooling system. It took awhile to figure it out and the room was stuffy and hot until we discovered that when you turned the fan speed to the Off position, it finally came on. Then, everything was fine. Kind of tight quarters for a family of four, but much better than other midtown hotels. Comfortable and clean. My husband flies for the airlines and said this hotel really beats the ones where the pilots usually end up staying in the city, both for location and quality.” Jun 6, 2009 by
Thomas from San Francisco,CA
“Great location, room was moderate in size and functional, small bathroom. Usually like to stay in smaller hotels and this one, given Midtown location so close to Time Square, was mobbed with tour groups. However, got a great price on Priceline and was very satisfied overall.” Jun 4, 2009 by
Janet from Akron,OH
“Air conditioning system needs work on. We changed the room and still need a fan in the room.” Jun 1, 2009 by
Levi from Saint Cloud,MN
“The location alone would make me stay here again. The subway entrance is 50 feet from the front door, and right in times square. Very safe area” Jun 1, 2009 by
Mike from Baltimore,MD
“We would love to return to the Sheraton for our next trip to NY.” May 30, 2009 by
Cory from Yucaipa,CA
“Great location, helpful and courteous staff.” May 29, 2009 by
Margaret from Seattle,WA
“Very centrally located for touring midtown Manhattan.” May 29, 2009 by
Alison from Watertown,MA
“I need a 4 star hotel to have a great bed, sheets, comforter and an upscale bathroom. That was the whole point to me. This bed was not good, we only got a queen with our purchase they said the kings were gone and the bathroom was alright. Products were by Bliss, but not impressive enough for me to take them home like I usually do. Didn't feel pampered enough.”
