“Wonderful location next to Times Square, friendly staff, useless concierge with a fun bar that turns into a bit of a club on weekends.” Mar 12, 2009 by
Kelly from Campobello,SC
“Many bad experiences.” Feb 12, 2009 by
George from Forked River,NJ
“The location couldn't be better. Beds were very comfortable. Nice and clean room. The bathroom didn't have much room. I would stay here again.” Jan 19, 2009 by
Mitch from Brownsburg,IN
“Hotel is very trendy; it is newly remodeled. The staff is possibly the most helpful staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Hotel is very clean and everything is readily available. My only complaint is the room, in which I stayed, was the smallest room that I have ever stayed in. It was a 12 X 12 square with a small bathroom off of it. To access the sink in the bath room fully, I had to close the bathroom door. It was fine since I was by my self but if more than one person was traveling, it would have been impossible. Besides the room size, the experience was fantastic.” Dec 30, 2008 by
from Washington,DC
“This was the smallest hotel room I've ever seen - and I'm an experienced traveler, with many trips to NY. The bed was so small that my partner (who is 6'2") barely fit. And the bed barely fit into the room. The door couldn't open fully without hitting the bed. If we'd had luggage, there would have been nowhere to put it. Good thing we were traveling with just two small backpacks for a single-night stay. That said, the room was clean, the TV was nice, and the location was great. The staff was nice, though they seemed over-worked and distracted. But there really should be a warning about the room size. The front desk told me that the larger rooms were not available.” Aug 5, 2008 by
Ken from Blairsville, PA
“I enjoyed my stay in this hotel very much. It was well worth the price. My room had a king size bed, it was spacious, had a large bathroom, a closet with a safe. The staff was friendly, they answered all of my questions, and were always helpful, and on hand. Even though they're doing construction on their restaurant, there are many places to eat within minutes of the hotel.” Aug 5, 2008 by
Lou from Methuen, MA
“This hotel is very clean and situated in the heart of Time Square which is an added bonus. The one bad thing is the elevators, there is only one in the lobby and it is very small.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Don from Montclair, NJ
“Plenty of sleeping space for groups of tourists or families not looking for luxury, only looking for a place to crash that can sleep many (my room could have slept six comfortably).” Jul 28, 2008 by
Becky from West Virginia, VA
“The hotel was very nice. The staff was great and friendly. I would stay their again.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Leslie from Frisco, TX
“I would gladly stay at this hotel again. It is centrally located near Times Square, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Scott from Orem, UT
“The rooms are small but not for New York. It was a 10' x 10' room with a double bed. If all your looking for is a place to sleep in between enjoying all that New York has to offer. This is a great place to stay. Once they get the remodeling done it is going to be a very nice hotel.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Andre from Philadelphia, PA
“The hotel was very convenient in regards to shops and location. However, the room was tiny; only enough room for a bed and bathroom. Although the room was clean there was construction in the hotel so there was no elevator. The nose was ungodly and started pretty early in the morning. The maids slammed the doors all morning and the guests slammed the doors all night. I would not recommend this hotel if you actually want to sleep during your stay. The room was spotless and nicely decorated but it was small and noisy.” Jun 16, 2008 by
Nadine from San Francisco, CA
“Clean updated décor, rooms are small, lots of construction outside the hotel, central location in Manhattan. We had to carry our bags up the front stairs. This hotel is not wheelchair accessible.” Jun 6, 2008 by
Larry from Albuquerque, NM
“Rooms were small, but clean and functional. The location was fantastic.” May 29, 2008 by
Thomas from Baltimore, MD
“The hotel is good for money. Great location and very clean. The elevators are too slow, so I used the stairs; thank god I was on the 3rd floor. Also, I found it odd that I was never asked if I needed transportation. I noticed other people being asked all the time. Overall, nice hotel.” Apr 26, 2008 by
Darren from Longwood IE
“The Quality Hotel is a perfectly adequate base for any New York Trip. It is generally comfortable and clean without any frills. The Staff are Helpful. It is ideally located near Time Square and within easy walking distance of shops, Broadway theatres, restaurants and the other essential NY experiences. The hotel is currently under renovation leading to some dust problems and really slowing down the elevators. Despite the minor inconveniences endured I would happily return in the future.” Apr 22, 2008 by
Norm from Pelham, AL
“Hotel is in great location. Rooms are fairly small but were adequate and clean for the purpose of my trip (to visit prospective colleges with son). Anyone planning for extended stay or to spend any significant time in room might find rooms too small. I would stay there again, although the errors with my bill are a bit of a concern there was a problem upon checkout.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Jeff from Hammond, IN
“300 a night for a 12 by 15 room in a building under construction w/ no bar, pool, or eating facility. Elevators were slow and difficult to get to.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Georgina from Chatsworth, CA
“Good size for the money. Clean hotel and rooms. Comfortable bed. Good location and the staff were very helpful.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Alvaro from San Francisco, CA
“There are many things you can forgive about a hotel for example, the lack of restaurant or room service. However, was it is completely intolerable is that the hotel is under construction and nobody tells you that in advance. On Thursday night I went to sleep at 4 am finishing a presentation for a client and they woke me up at 8 am with an incredibly loud construction noise.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Angie from Harvest, AL
“We had a great time. The hotel was great. This was our second time to stay there and have and will continue to stay and refer it to our friends.” Mar 18, 2008 by
Kevin from Franklin, TN
“Reserved and was charged for a queen bed, but it was a full size. Manager insisted it was really a queen. The tiny rooms may make the beds look bigger, but my feet would not extend past the bottom of a real queen. The person checking out next to me had the same problem. May be a good choice if you're short (and don't mind waiting a long time for elevators).” Mar 18, 2008 by
Crista from Waterloo, ON CA
“Service and location were excellent. Rooms were comfortable and clean. However could not control the heat and the water was lukewarm. In the morning the water was turned off due to renovations and had no warning of this. Had to checkout without having a shower. NOT IMPRESSED.” Mar 17, 2008 by
Kim from Roxbury, MA
“It was a good location but the water was turned off during the morning so I was unable to finish my shower and the toilets could not flush without water. Also there was a fire alarm that was going off at 9 am for testing. I think I should get a free nights stay at the Quality Hotel.” Mar 15, 2008 by
Stephanie A. from Taunton, MA
“The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its location.” Mar 4, 2008 by
Van from Greenville, SC
“I stayed for 4 nights. I had one hot shower in three days. Every hotel employee had a different excuse for the problem. I would not send anyone to this hotel! I reported this problem twice, I was very disappointed with the lack of courtesy. The first time in SF the hotel tried to charge me again for the room and now this now this discouraging NY experience. I will not be using your services a third time. I will pay double the price and stay in a respectable hotel with a respectable staff.” Feb 25, 2008 by
Toni from East Meadow, NY
“This hotel was adequate for someone who just needs a place to sleep. Very good location. It was clean, but quite small.” Feb 22, 2008 by
Kay from Hamburg DE
“As the hotel was under renovation my impressions must not be comprehensive. The floors were a little dusty, the room was clean, but too small, you hardly could walk around it, the same applies to the bathroom. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was worth the price only due to the fact that it is well located close to Times Square.” Feb 18, 2008 by
Tami from Westport, MA
“The hotel was quaint, the room exactly what I saw I was getting. Didn't spend much time in the room, it's location was perfect, bed comfortable, and room and bathroom were clean, that's all I need - loved it!” Feb 10, 2008 by
Dana from Chicago, IL
“Overall, lovely rooms and excellent service. Although the elevators were small and relatively slow, it actually added to the quaintness of the hotel, and you can't beat the location if you're traveling to see theater.” Feb 1, 2008 by
Laura from Oneonta, NY
“Fair price given the location but the TV did not function, elevators were small and very slow getting to the floors and the heating unit in the room made noise the whole time it ran. The restaurant was also not accessible as it was closed for the 3 days I was there so I would have to say that the price was still high for what I paid.” Jan 18, 2008 by
Sherly from La Verne, CA
“It's decent. I think for the price and location it's a good deal. It is also pretty clean (which is very important to me).” Jan 1, 2008 by
Dc from East Jordan, MI
“Located very close to Times Square. Clean and reasonably priced.” Dec 30, 2007 by
Mary from Reston, VA
“The room was so small that I had to walk sideways to get to the niche that substituted for a closet to hang up my coat. There was no place to unpack into and Im sure they only had plasma TVs because that was the only ones that could possibly fit in the room. There were two elevators at opposite ends of the hallway and I don't know how a single traveler would be able to tell which one arrived. Also, on the first trip up in one of the elevators, four people with luggage were too much weight and two people had to wait for another elevator. (Probably why it took so long for the elevators to arrive.).” Dec 29, 2007 by
Kazu from Chevy Chase, MD
“It is good cost performance hotel. I recommend you this hotel, if you stay single.” Dec 18, 2007 by
Steve from Baytown, TX
“As stated the location was great! However, when requesting directions or assistance from the staff, they were very short and unhelpful.” Nov 28, 2007 by
Meg from Ottawa, ON CA
“The good: the hotel is in a great location (right off Times Square) and the beds are very comfortable. Also have great TVs in the bedroom. The bad: the elevators are very slow and awkwardly placed on the lobby/floors. The ugly: a smoke detector went off on floor 9 in the morning for four hours (there was no fire). There seemed to be no attempt on behalf of the hotel staff to turn it off, and they were not helpful when approached about it. Many people on the floor were upset as the noise was very loud and we had to leave the building because of the noise.” Nov 5, 2007 by
Dean from San Antonio, TX
“The quality inn in times square is the perfect spot for the business or leisure traveler. If all you require is a safe, clean, and comfortable place to rest after a long day, this is the place to stay. The staff was friendly and its proximity to restaurants and landmarks is unmatched at its rates. I'd go back in a heartbeat!” Nov 4, 2007 by
Wendy from Winchester, CA
“The location was great, the staff was friendly and the room for the most part was clean and comfortable. For the price It was good enough for us, we would stay there again.” Sep 15, 2007 by
Kelvin from London GB
“Great location, 40 inch plasma TV and clean room. On the flip side, there's heavy ongoing construction/renovation and ridiculous lift arrangement.” Aug 21, 2007 by
Kim from West Jordan, UT
“It was a very clean hotel and it was in a very location. I thought the staff was nice but the head guy (probably owner) was not friendly at all.” Aug 3, 2007 by
Jenny from Escondido, CA
“I really was impressed. It was so close to Times Square (like 100 feet) so I felt very safe. The rooms were very nice and clean. I definitely would stay here again.” Jul 26, 2007 by
Jeanette from Morristown, NJ
“The room was comfortable. Pretty quiet for the middle of midtown. Very clean. Nice bathroom.” Jul 12, 2007 by
Gary from N. Miami Beach, FL
“Room could be a little bigger, but worth the trade off to be in the middle of Times Square. Also, the lowest priced hotel in New York city!” Jul 10, 2007 by
Lisa from Prescott, AZ
“The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was small, however it was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable with soft smooth sheets and down-like pillows. The location was excellent. We will recommend this hotel to others who plan on being out and about all day and need a great place to sleep at night.” Jun 26, 2007 by
Wendy from Chico, CA
“Great location, half block off times square. The room was tiny but very clean. Plasma TV was a welcome addition. Staff was unfriendly. Halls were dark and scary.” Jun 18, 2007 by
Lindsey from West Palm Beach, FL
“This hotel is the perfect place, located right by times square. It had everything we needed and it was updated and clean. The space is small but very efficient. Compared to the other hotels, this was the most affordable and offered the same great location.” Jun 18, 2007 by
Donna from Wayne, PA
“Perfect location almost at the tickets booth in times square. I felt safe. Lots of people coming and going, in room safe, locked access to stairs. Rooms are Spartan, yet hardwood floors and renovated bath gave feeling of cleanliness. New bed was small but comfortable. Poor water pressure, no hot water on one day was compensated by bill reduction. Baggage storage was free. Desk staff has good attitude. Would recommend for the budget conscious traveler.” Jun 14, 2007 by
John from Oak Hill, VA
“Walking distance to everything! The rooms are small but just renovated so they were very clean. The elevators are very small and slow, but other than that I'd stay here again when in NYC.” Jun 9, 2007 by
Rebecca from Rome, NY
“This was by far one of the best hotels me and my wife has ever stayed in I will definitely recommend this one to my friends. I will definitely be back.” Hotel Representatives:
