• The location was perfect, near theaters and restaurants.
• No coffee shop, family dining or quick snack facility.

“We will be happy to return to this hotel in the future. Its shortfalls (no coffee shop/snack dining) are overcome by the location.”

• The suite with the 2 televisions.
• Absolutely hated the shower!!! not a fixed wall unit.

“Very nice hotel but only worth the money I spent on Priceline. Would not be worth it if I payed full price. The shower in the hotel room was without a doubt the worst I have ever experienced this would bring the rating down to a 1 star as far as I was concerned. It was not a wall unit with a tub. Never would think to ask about this not being a possibility. Sometimes the security guards would ask to see a room key but it was not all of the time.”

• Convenient location, spacious room, OK view.
• Front desk staff was a little snooty and lobby bathroom was bad.

“The location in Times Square was great with easy access to subways. It was very crowded outside the door to the hotel (as could probably be expected), but the hotel and our room was quiet. The room was large and the two sinks were very handy. Everything in the room seemed clean. For the price we paid, excellent value for the money.”

“Located in the theater district of NYC, this hotel was just what we wanted. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful (providing theater tickets and restaurant recommendations and reservations). The accommodations were spacious and clean. We couldn't have asked for anything more!”

• Excellent location, clean room and nicely decorated.
• The lobby area and bar are being renovated, but not nicely.

“The location for theatre goers is excellent. The rooms are spacious and nicley decorated. The cookie upon check in is a nice touch and the coffee in room was very good. All in all an excellent.”

• The location was perfect and the room was beautiful.
• Renovations were going underway but you could not tell.

• Breakfast was horrible and wrong. Have to go through different departments and still not corrected and still charged me.

• The location was very convenient for first time travelers to New York.
• Room did not have a bathtub.

“We were first time visitors to New York - a family trip after graduation for my 17 year old son and his friend. Everything about our experience, at the Doubletree and Times Square was excellent. The location and the excitement of Times Square couldn't have been better and we have already recommended the Doubletree and plan a return trip.”

• In the heart of Times Square but it was an oasis in all the craziness of Times Square.
• We were only there overnight and had no negatives.

“A little difficult in communicating with the check in staff. On our return when our room was ready - right on time I might add - we were given the complimentary chocolate chip cookies - delicious! The concierge staff was more than helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by our suite - comfortable living area with mini kitchenette (microwave, fridge and coffeemaker) very large bathroom and an extremely comfortable queen size bed. Will definitely return to stay especially for longer than overnight.”

• It is in the heart of the city yet all the noise of the city is blocked from the room.
• The hotel's restaurant is pricey.

“Overall, a good hotel for the price. Definitely is good for family travel. However, New York City is very pricey.”

• Great location, fantastic view, high comfort and clean.

“We stayed with two kids under six and we found that the mini suite was an excellent choice for us. The kids enjoyed the great view directly on times square and so did we. We got a baby crib right away delivered to our room, the staff was very helpful. The sofa bed was actually big enough to sleep two kids, and the suite setup allows for some privacy of the parents which is great.”

• The location was perfect for our needs.
• Cost of the breakfast way over-priced.

“My children wanted to stay a hotel in Time Square and since they are older, we could not go with the standard two queen size beds. This hotel offered a suite that was perfect for us. The bathroom had two entrances so one could enter in the night without waking the others in the other room. I wasn't sure I would like that at first but it turned out to be the perfect set up. I also liked that they provided us with a small refrigerator so we could supply our own drinks.”

• The staff was more than helpful but I never received my tickets for sight seeing.
• I did not receive my tickets / passess for the sight seeing.

“Over all the hotel was very nice, we had trouble in one of the elevators ( it wasn't working properly) we did tell them, and we didn't get our sight seeing tickets that came with the booking, they said I had to show prove that it came with the booking and I did not have my laptop to show them I would like to be remembersed... thanks.”

• The bed and sheets were very comfortable.
• The cost was expensive.

“The hotel is right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of NYC. The staff was friendly and the room was very large. The room was a little worn and the price was very high. I was traveling with my best friend and two sixteen year old daughters so the suite was ideal for our circumstances. The beds were very comfortable and overall the stay was very good.”

“It was a welcome stay for us enroot home after two weeks in Greece where the hotel beds are not very comfortable. We could have stayed here longer if we didn't have a plane to catch! Rooms were large, comfortable, and had everything we needed.”

• Unprepared, went to 3 rooms just to get the right one.

“Checked in at 1am paid for late arrival, gave us a suite with a broken pull out sofa bed, moved us to a handicap room 2am. Moved us the next day after wasting time until 11am finally prepared a decent room.”

• Excellent location, friendly staff, very convenient if you travel with children.
• Nothing.

“The hotel is located in the middle of time square. There are three subway lines located just when exiting the hotel. The suites are comfortable: there is a microwave, fridge, and a coffee maker with daily supply of coffee and cream. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to families with children.”

• We liked the fact that it was a suite with multiple rooms.
• Having to use two different elevators to get to our room.

• The location was central to my activities in the city. Very safe and had all the necessary amenities.
• No coffee was available in the lobby at 7:00 am on that particular day. Had to leave the property and go to a nearby Star bucks.

“I would consider staying at this property again. The sleep comfort system was awesome. And I have insomnia! I wanted to take the bed home. The location is perfect for everything from shows to restaurants to mass transit. The doormen were diligent in maintaining the safety of the guests and hotel staff were very accommodating with requests. Pleasing me is a tall order and I left the Double tree Suites very satisfied.”

“Ideal for broad way activities, restaurants. All amenities provided (except hand carried to taxi) Concierge very knowledgeable return ordered their bed linens and pillows...that says it all.”

“Great location, our room looked down on the TKTS booth. Friendly staff from the doorman, front desk, to the bell staff. i picked this location from internet reviews and it exceeded my expectations.”
